5 Chapter 5 Convincing

"I know it sounds crazy that was why I asked you to keep an open mind. Calm yourself Kookie and give me a chance to explain. This time listen and don't cut me off."

Junkook shut himself up. He knew Jin was just being reasonable and that he had over reacted a bit. He was right, he needed to calm down and keep an open mind.

When Jin saw he was calm he continued. "As I was saying earlier, our bodies probably shut down and that's when the radioactive energy started changing our bodies. You see, when we were exposed to the energy we should have died like everyone else, instead we didn't. My guess is that the radioactive energy was somehow absorbed into us and remained in us. Those scientists probably guessed what would happen if we did mutate, that was why they were so determined on experimenting on us. I mean look at us, we are inhumanly strong, if we could be turned into soldiers and if they could replicate our mutation with others they could have an indestructible army."

Junkook shivered at the thought, especially when he thought of the war that had ravaged the world. If those crazy bastards had succeeded in their research how much more bloodshed would have happened.

"Because of our injuries and cell mutation we..... Sigh, we hibernated." Junkook could not believe his ears, he felt an urge to interrupt but held himself back when Jin gave him a look.

"While we hibernated or entered a coma sort of state our cells began mutating and slowly healing itself. It probably took a long time to for us to completely mutate and heal. That's why this place looks so old and according to my guess we must have been asleep for a long while...." Jin stopped abruptly.

A solemn atmosphere descended on them.

"How long Jin?" Junkook asked even though he knew he wouldn't like the answer.

"More than a few centuries."
