Chapter 2 The Past
Staring at the overgrown vines and dense trees Jin could not help but remember how his life changed that fateful day. It was just a normal day, they were taking a walk in their disguises, trying to fool their fans when it happened.
Suddenly everyone around them started dropping to the ground, he felt his entire body tingling and the pain came. It felt as if something was crawling inside his body. It was so painful that he fell to the ground scratching himself with his hands, desperately trying to stop the pain.
When it finally stopped Jin breathed a sigh of relief. He also seemed to have realised that he was no longer on the streets instead he was in a white room surrounded by people in white coats.
That was the start of their dark days. They later found out that they had somehow been exposed to a concentrated wave of radioactive energy on the walk. Out of all those exposed to the radiation they were the only ones to survive it. Just because of this they were declared dead to the public and experimented on, all under the orders of the Government.
They were betrayed by the government that swore to protect them.
The hellish experience he went through was ingrained in his mind. Being cut open, being injected with different chemicals, being tortured by experiments, being force fed, almost always having injuries, watching his brothers suffer, he could never forget it.
As he was lost in thought he had an epiphany, since he was able to survive this long maybe his brothers were alive as well. With an objective in mind he began searching the ruins with enthusiasm.
As he walked he felt himself stepping on something soft. He heard a grunt and suddenly he felt his body flying. He quickly turned his body, landed on his feet and got into fighting stance, ready for danger. Instead he got something else.
Standing in front of him was a familiar figure covered in dust and rubble. This did not diminish his looks, he had a heroic air to him dressed in dirt covered white long sleeves and trousers stood Jungkook.
Jin felt happiness soar inside of him and walked briskly to his brother. Arms out and before Jungkook could react he was taken into a firm hug. Jungkook slowly wrapped his hands around Jin as he realized what was happening.
