THE PARTY

We went back to Mr Michael's house, mean while we already made plans for everything.

Mr Michael's wife said she wants to go shopping, Ken and I had to follow her out while Lisa and Mark left to get his son back from school. But something happened when we were at the shopping mall, we met my mom and uncle Smiths at the mall. I was surprised, what is uncle doing with this woman again, I felt anger burning inside me but I had to stay cool. We approached them.

"Miss Linda what are you doing here "Mr Michael's wife asked my mom.

"Oh Mrs Michael, we meet again. I came to get some things for myself " she replied with a smile that did not reach her blue eye

"Oh that's nice and who is your friend" Mrs Michael asked again

"This is Mr Smiths he is an old friend"she replied

"Nice to meet you Mr Smiths " Mrs Michael said shaking uncle's hand who replied her with.....

"Nice to meet you too"

Did she just say that he is an old friend, I looked at uncle trying to see if I can read him from his expression but he was keeping a cool face. I noticed Ken staring at me then he gave the don't do anything stupid look.

"Why don't you both join us, don't worry anything you order is on me"Mrs Michael offered

"No thanks we are on our way out " she said and they both left

"Hmm, she is acting all mighty since she came back "Mrs Michael said

I don't think these two are friends at all they are both acting strange. After picking almost all the latest design in the mall it was time to leave thank God I thought she was going to close the mall and she is very picky. Ken was finding it difficult to carry all the shopping bag so I took some of it from him. After putting all the bags in the car we left immediately.

"What's your name " Mrs Michael asked me

"Ella " I simply replied

"Ella that's a sweet name, so Ella can you help me pick a cloth for the party, my husband is celebrating a big success in his company tonight I want to look my best for him" she said with a smile on her face.

"I don't know a thing about fashion ma" I replied looking kind of confused.

"Don't worry we will figure it out come "she said as she dragged me inside her room and dismissed Ken.

Why is she being nice to me I kept on asking myself.

"So how is this "she asked me on the fifth outfit

"Is nice and beautiful ma" I said

"Come on Ella that's what you said on my first, second, third and fourth outfit and you are not even looking at any of them " she said with disappointment writing all over her face

"Am sorry ma is just that I don't know anything about fashion " I said

"No I don't think is because you don't know a thing about fashion, I think am making you uncomfortable " she said removing the fifth outfit

"No you are not " I lied, she is right I do feel uncomfortable around her

"You are not a good liar you know, I can tell you are lying, is it because am your bosses wife, you know we might be the same age. I married at 20years and am 24years now so you can call me by my name you know and am not going to bite" she said before she hand over one of her shopping bag to me

"Take its yours, I picked it up for you at the mall since you will be attending the party with me I won't want you to dress in your pants. So please look feminine for me " she said before she dismissed me

"Thank you ma and am sorry I could not help you pick a dress for the party " I said before I turn to leave but she said

"Call me Elsa, that is when my husband is not around me" she said with a smile.

"Thank you Elsa and I think the second outfit is the most beautiful " I said before leaving.

She married at age 20. She does look very young but she looks like she was not happy getting married that young.

"Bella I have been looking for you " Lisa said immediately she entered my room.

"Oh I was with Elsa " I said

"Who is Elsa " she asked

"Oh sorry I mean Mrs Michael " I said correcting myself

"What were you doing with her?" she asked curiously

"She wants me to help her pick an outfit " I replied

"Oh for the party " Lisa said

"Wait you also know about that? " I asked surprised.

"Yes Mr Michael want the four of us at the party to protect his wife " Lisa said rolling her eyes

"But why and what about his son? " I asked

"He said he will be staying with his grandparents and he needs all our attention on his wife that many people will be coming for the party both his enemies and friends " Lisa said in a bored tone

"Hmm, so he wants the four of us at the party which means he is expecting not only people from the business world " I said

"What do you mean? " Lisa asked

"His business partners from the underworld are also coming " I replied

"Bella which means your Dad I mean Mr Stones will be there"

"Yes I know " I said as I felt all the horrible experience I had to go through because of that monster

"What are you going to do? Lisa asked

"Do about what? Ken asked as he enters my room

"You do know you are supposed to knock before you enter my room right?" I asked with a half smile

"Sorry ladies that will not happen again" he apologized

"No worries, am sure sis do not mind or do sis" Lisa said surprising me

"Lisa!" l called her name out a little strong.

"What, did I say something wrong" she said as she laughed

"Yes you said something wrong what if I was nake.... "But could not finish what I want to say when Lisa covered my mouth.

"Don't worry he will knock next time, right Ken?" Lisa asked Ken

"Yeah I will " Ken replied

"So what are you going to do about meeting Mr Stones at the party " Lisa asked for the second time

"Wait he is also coming for the party? " Ken asked

"Who is coming for the party?" Mark asked entering my room

"What is wrong with these people, why do you keep entering my room without knocking " I asked frustrated.

"Oh sorry Bella next time I will so update me because I feel left behind" Mark said smiling at Lisa

"Are you apologizing to me or Lisa " I asked because it felt like it

"Who cares the both of you are sisters" he said not even given me a single attention.

"Mark!!! " I groaned

"What" he asked

"Mark do what you are asked to do please " Ken said in frustration

"Fine but you guys should stop leaving me out of the conversation and Bella sorry for not knocking" he said point his lips

"Okay you don't want to be left out right?" I asked feeling a little guilty with what he said

"Yes" he replied

"Okay you know about the party tonight right?" I asked again

"Yes the one Mr Michael mentioned to Lisa and I earlier today, so what about it" he replied

"We think Mr Stones might me be invited too" Lisa said

"Wait what " he said

"Yeah am not that surprised though"

Ken said

"Bella can you face him?" Mark asked

"I can after all am no longer that helpless child he used to know "
