LIFE IS UNPREDICTABLE

Amelia on her way back from the mall almost hit a five year old boy with her car because the boy ran in front of the car to pick her football. She was shocked and shaken with fear thinking she had hit the boy with her car so she quickly got down to attend to him only to see him lying down with the ball in his embrace so she out of the shock so she angrily reprimanded him and drove off. She thought about that incidence the whole of that day because she had never had that experience ever since she started driving and she was filled with questions on what she would have done if she had hit the boy and how his family would have treated her not to talk about what would have happened to the boy. She was so worried that she couldn't even eat that day. Later in the night as she laid on her bed, she had a flashback on her angrily she reprimanded the boy and felt bad and remorseful for that so she decided to go and look for the boy and apologise to him the next day.

Amelia woke up early morning and went for a walk through her neighbourhood. She didn't see the the children she used to meet every morning neither did she see the school buses she used to see every morning. It was then that she realised that schools were on break. She then decided to go to the neighbouring in which she almost hit the boy to search for him so that she could apologise to him. "Aunty Elia, Aunty Elia! You look tired o. Did you go for a walk? Mummy says ladies go for a walk so that they would keep their bodies in shape especially their bellies. Do you want a very flat belly?" Beryl curiously asked her. Amelia couldn't wait to hug Beryl but just as she was about to hug her, she remembered she was sweaty and it wouldn't be pleasant to hug her with all that sweat. So she held her hands and they both walked towards her bedroom as they engaged in a conversation.

"I am so happy you're here today, Princess. I need you to escort me to see a boy I I angrily shouted at yesterday. I think he'll be willing to talk to me if he sees a beautiful girl with me." Amelia told Beryl who in tend told her it wasn't cool to be shouting on children. She also told Amelia to get a gift for the boy because that will melt the boys heart and he would easily forgive her. They went to the mall to get a pair of jersey, football, boots and a backpack for him. When Amelia and Beryl got to the neighbourhood, they saw a bunch of children playing soccer on a field and approached them. She described the boy to them and they identified him to be Alfie. They showed them the boy's house and told her that he got injured yesterday when he fell in front of a car that almost hit him. Amelia felt sorry and guilty for not checking on the boy before she left. She left with Beryl to Alfie's house.

They asked a woman whom they met inside the house where Alfie's father's room was and she was shown. When they knocked on the door, a tall dark man with big white eyes, a small mouth which had the shape of a heart when closed and a long delicate nose opened the door with a beautiful wide smile which showed his beautiful white set of teeth opened the door. Amelia couldn't talk for a while because she was dumbfounded by the body that stood in front of him. The guy had a six pack and very flat abs. " Hi, I am Nana Agyemang. How may I help you." the young man said. It was then that Amelia came to her senses and introduced them as Amelia and she was with her niece, Beryl. Nana Agyemang asked Beryl how she was doing and she shyly responded she was doing well. He invited them in and when Alfie saw Amelia he started shaking so Beryl walked to Alfie and said " Hi Alfie, I am Beryl and this is my Aunty, Amelia. She's come to say sorry for yesterday. Please forgive her. My daddy says forgiveness will let your pains go away. Here, we brought a present for you." Beryl told Alfie who smiled and took the backpack from her. When he opened the backpack he saw the other items and was very happy about it so he tried walking to where Amelia was standing but he couldn't walk because his legs were injured from the previous day's accident so Amelia walked to him and apologised to him. She told him that she was scared from what happened because she hadn't experienced that before. Alfie hugged her and told her he had forgiven him and he also thanked him for the gifts. He really appreciated them because she had been requesting for all of those items from his dad for a while but his dad couldn't afford to buy them for him.

Amelia and Alfie's father became friends and in no time started dating. Amelia helped him to get a job with an oil company as their Human Resource Manager and she treated Alfie just as she did to Beryl.Amelia got a job outside his father's conglomerate because she wanted Nana to be respected by both his family and other people especially the employees. She believed that he would be respected more if he applied as someone who already had a job than unemployed young man who's dating the owners child. People would even call him opportunist and she wanted to avoid that.Beryl and Alfie had also in no time become friends. Amelia never told Nana that she was the daughter of Mr. Richards the owner of Richards International and she asked everyone who knew about their relationship to keep it from him. The very first people she introduced him to were Phyllis and Denzel. They went on several dates together and Denzel and Phyllis approved of him because he was a gentleman who respected Amelia and also was visionary and focused. He was visionary and focused because of his experience with Alfie's mother. She left because he spent so much money and time with friends until he lost his job and all his friends with the exception of one of them left. Alfie's mother left and got married to an elder brother to one o his friends. He was heartbroken for a while before he recovered.

Mr and Mrs Richards knew about Amelia's relationship because Beryl was always talking about both Alfie and his father to them. She had even shown their pictures to them on Amelia's phone but they were waiting for Amelia to tell them herself. After three months of dating Nana proposed to Amelia and she agreed so he took her to meet his family who accepted her and agreed to their marriage because of how Amelia carried herself when she met them. She was humble and respectful and she also seemed to be wise to them. She also took him and Alfie to meet her parents for their approval. When Nana and Alfie got to the house, they were awe struck because it looked like a palace and they had never imagined Amelia came from such a house because she was down to earth. He began to shiver when he saw Mr. Richards because he knew him and the calibre of person he was but he never imagined he would ever be connected to him especially not through his daughter.

Mr. Richards spoke to him and welcomed both Alfie and Nana. Nana was still in shock especially when he saw how Mr. Richards and Alfie were chatting and playing. Mrs Richards and Amelia laid the dining table and invited them to the table. Denzel and Phyllis showed up because Amelia had invited them so that Nana would feel comfortable and they would also convince her parents to accept him. Nana was relieved when he saw them but Beryl picked a fight with Alfie because he was seated on her grandfather's laps. They calmed her down and Nana carried her on his laps too. Mr. Richards asked Nana if he was ready to deal with that pettiness and jealousy from Amelia because to him that's how every woman behaves when they see other women and even sometimes men being cozy around their men. They all burst into laughter.

After a long talk Mr and Mrs gave their approval to their being together and asked them to fix a date for their traditional and white weddings. Amelia didn't want a grand wedding because she wanted Nana to marry her in his own budget. Phyllis was asked to counsel the two of them for at least a month. In the course of their courtship and counselling, Amelia went to Nana's house to find a woman attending to Alfie and she rushed out in anger. Nana chased after her but she drove off without even looking at him. She rushed to Phyllis in the office in tears. When Phyllis saw her she was troubled because she felt something serious had happened until she told her what happened.

"Foolish girl. Idiot. Do you know how you scared me? Did he sack you when he saw you? Did you give him a chance to explain what you saw to him? Things are mostly not how we see them to be, Amelia dear." Phyllis said to her. " He chased after me when I ran out in anger but I didn't allow him to talk. Both Denzel and Nana rushed in and Denzel burst into laughter when he saw Amelia. "Herh, you're funny o. You just rushed off because you saw a woman in your boyfriend's room attending to his son. Did it occur to you that the lady might be Alfie's mother or Nana's relative? Don't ever let anger and jealousy make you this stupid again, ok? Now, hear Nana out." Denzel told Amelia. Nana told Amelia that the lady she saw in his room was Alfie's mother who had come to visit her son. Alfie hugged Amelia and with smiles told her that, the woman was her mother who came to visit him. Amelia looked foolish and apologised to Nana for her behaviour.

" I was scared when you left but I was also happy because it made me realise that you loved me and cannot share me with anyone. I love you more, Amelia Richards and you mean the world to me but please learn to trust me and take time to know me well too else we won't enjoy our relationship." Nana hugged and kissed Amelia after saying that to her. She was embarrassed but felt safe and warm in his arms. After they had finished talking, Denzel asked Amelia to sit down and listen to him. " Amelia, you've to learn to control your anger and emotions if you would enjoy your marriage. You have to also learn to talk and listen if you don't understand anything and you also have to know what you want. There's something that made me love Phyllis more and decided to marry her. After her delivery, I cheated on her but when she found out she didn't fight nor leave me. She even gave me counsel on how to deal with the lady when the lady was being a problem. I was surprised and the most interesting thing was she never discussed that with anyone not even you. So learn from her."

Amelia was surprised because Denzel doesn't look like he would cheat but she had learnt a lesson from that too. Nana, took a loan from his company and rented a two bedroom apartment so that he would live there with Amelia and Alfie after marriage. They got married some few months after they met the Richards and both of their parents were supportive of them. Phyllis went into labour on the day of their wedding just right after they had shared their vows so Denzel and his mother rushed her to the hospital because Mrs. Mensah was sick and couldn't come to the wedding.

The doctor had to do a caesarean operation on Phyllis because she couldn't push. She had twins but few minutes after the delivery, she had an inflammatory disorder of the of the spinal cord that paralysed her from her from her from her chest. After days of treatments and consultations, she was discharged. Denzel's mother had to take care of her in their house. She had a mental breakdown and couldn't even hold her two boys because she hated them for what had happened to her. Melanie had completed school so she supported Denzel to ran Dahlia Foundation since Phyllis didn't like to go to her office anymore because she didn't want to be seen riding in a wheelchair because she believed it will make people see her to be helpless. She behaved in bitterness towards everyone until Beryl looked at her and asked her who she was. " My mother was a very kind hearted loving and strong woman. She loved herself and loved my dad and I very much." Everyone was quiet but Phyllis broke down into tears and Denzel pushed her inside their bedroom to comfort her. He spoke extensively to her for a while until she apologised for her behaviour and attitude.

Mr. Richards got a physiotherapist who also had a Master's degree in psychology for her. She started breastfeeding her children and began to develop motherly love for them during her eighth month after delivery. She started going to the office and attended to every responsibility she had to. She and her daughter became close again and in no time she had become an inspiration to many. She developed her own vlog where she gave motivational speeches to motivate people. She recovered after two years and could walk without support after a while. Denzel organised a party for Benard and Benedict, their twins on their second birthday. They also took the opportunity to thank everyone who supported them during their difficult times. Amelia had also delivered a bouncing baby girl two weeks prior to the second birthday of the twins and they couldn't be more excited than they were.
