Chapter 3: Fallout is released! The World Goes Crazy!

(Author's POV)

After Devin worshipped/begged the system for a better PC and internet connection for actually completing the task of creating the game, the system rewarded him with a basic Dell PC and internet that can at best watch a Youtube video in 480p resolution. Devin sighed but wasn't too upset as he knew if he wanted more the system would probably rot his brain to insanity for it.

Devin went over to his new computer and the bootup didn't fail this time he made a Steam account quickly and easily and proceeded to boot up unity to make his game.

*Screeeee*

Devin got freaked out by this nasty sound that was 100 times worse than a cat scratching a blackboard. when the sound stopped he tried to step outside but he was blocked so he went to look out the window and was shocked.

Everything was frozen, Not frozen as in ice but just motionless even the hummingbird in the mid flap was just floating and the leaves that had fallen due to the wind were stuck in the air. Devin looked at this and thought that everything was kinda eerie like this but gradually calmed down and went back to his computer to try to work on this game. Now Devin has no programming or any sort of game-making experience that could help him... the only thing he had was this system that enjoyed him worshipping itself or torturing his brain but when he turned on Unity what appeared was not the unity app that would be used to make the game. What appeared was a Screen that filled his entire computer saying "The magnificent Fallout universe is created but needs more energy to make into a game". When Devin saw this statement he all of a sudden had an idea of what the system wanted to do and Devin immediately tried to run away but as soon as he got up he was assaulted with so much pain in his mind that he was turning crazy so the system just knocked him out to prevent it.

When Devin woke up he felt woozy like when he used to go to the bar to drink every sample to get extremely drunk for free. when he went to the bathroom he saw himself in the mirror and he was extremely shocked."WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO SYSTEM?!" Devin screamed in horror as his eyes were bloodshot, he looked so skinny that he thought he was a corpse, his body felt extremely frail, he felt extremely weak mentally and felt he couldn't be motivated about anything. Devin was horrified at his current state as he thought he now understood how his great-great-grandfather felt walking around but sadly he was wrong about that, his great-great-grandfather didn't have it half as bad as what Devin is currently feeling. To supplement the transformation of a whole universe to a game that is playable on Steam the system started taking energy from his mind but it wasn't nearly enough so it went to his body but even after that it wasn't nearly enough so the system went to the soul. The soul of the reincarnated is extremely strong because of moving from one universe to another universe and surviving it, not to mention someone who has reincarnated twice and died twice in such a short period. The abundance of soul energy was enough to complete the transformation but it still took most of Devin's soul energy so he now feels extremely unmotivated and lazy beyond even the greatest Nara. The system took all the energy it could without killing Devin so that is why Devin is currently a walking corpse. All this, Devin currently doesn't have any clue about but even if he did it wouldn't matter as nothing would be able to change.

When Devin finally sat down at his computer desk after 5 minutes of walking he glanced at his computer and was shocked. "What the fuck is this?!" Devin shouted after seeing his screen. On the screen was a map of the whole world of fallout and it looked... barren is the word. Devin could zoom in and see some super mutants eating an unlucky scavenger that passed by their path. and when he went upwards he saw the institute killing a random traveler and turning them into a synth to blend into society. He zoomed into the ocean to see a mutated great white that looks 100 meters long and had thousands of teeth each as sharp as a military-grade combat knife. Devin was shocked as this was a creature not shown in the Fallout universe and it was something brand new to him. Devin even with his weak unmotivated soul was extremely excited seeing this as this was what he wanted all along in his whole career as a Fallout enthusiast. Devin finally remembered what he involuntarily sacrificed his body for and went to post the game on Steam.

When Devin made his account he named it "Bethesda Studios" in recognition of the great studio that made such a great game franchise that could be very well be called the greatest game franchise in Devin's opinion.

When Devin uploaded the game he wanted to publish the Steam website asked for the game name and Devin wrote typed in "Fallout" like come on he wasn't gonna change the name when it was already perfect. When Devin finished putting in the title, Steam asked for the price of the game which Devin hadn't figured out what to put. Right, when Devin was gonna put in 30 dollars he got inspiration from Bethesda on how to maximize profits, DLC. Yes, DLC was the move that the former Bethesda specialized in and made it a lot of money. Devin wasn't going to make DLC exactly like that as he wanted everyone to be able to explore everything that Fallout has to offer so he did something that would make his Bethesda Studios the richest company in the world, spawn points. Spawn points aren't what you might be thinking of, Spawn points are your starting point in the game, Fallout is no longer a game you can respawn in anymore, when you die you have to start with a whole nother body with random gear and random S.P.E.C.I.A.L. points assigned but that can be changed with Devin's version of DLC. In this DLC you can buy your spawn point for a high price depending on your spawn and equipment even though the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. points will always be random, the better the starting the point the higher chance of better S.P.E.C.I.A.L. points. Devin made being able to spawn in a vault exclusively for payment as getting a pipboy is extremely strong in his opinion.

Devin set the Vault spawn as 50 dollars as starting in a relatively safe place while gaining the cheat item 'The PIPboy', while a high chance of gaining a large quantity of fresh food and water not radiated, and gaining a gun early on is not suitable for being free. but every other spawn can be obtained for free by good luck. he decided on the price for the main game to be 5 dollars as he needs people to play his game since he has done no advertising of this game.

Devin started finishing up the rest of the procedures and signed the waiver that Steam will take 10% of the money made by the game as it is in their sight. When Devin finally finishes he takes another 5 minutes to get to his bed and then goes to rest. little does he know that an inconspicuous senior in highschool just saw this game and bought it to try it out.
