52 One Step Closer (2)

As dawn broke, Lord Kieran opened the windows of his bedroom, allowing the coolness of the night to enter his chambers. From where he stood, he could see the small town and villages from a safe distance. The sky was still dark, but regardless of the time, the whole of Aisgarth had not experienced nor seen the sun for over a millennium now.

Aisgarth was once said to be home of the six old gods, who created the world, several millennia ago. It was said that it was a blessed land where all manner of wealth and earthly delights could be found.

Both plant and animal life thrived in Aisgarth and during the time of the six old gods, there was no need of want, for whenever there was a need, it was met. They kept all things in balance and reciprocity.
