Chapter twelve - Diego Meets Rachael's Sister

Lisa returned to the office, admiring Rachael's beautifully decorated workspace.     "Your office is stunning, sis," she complimented, noticing the piles of files on Rachael's desk. Lisa started organizing them just as Diego entered.      "Rachael, I need you to go through this file and organize it by names. Return it to me ASAP," Diego instructed.      "Yes, sir," Rachael replied.      "I've told you to call me Diego, not sir," he reprimanded.      "I'll get this done and send it to you sir," Rachael assured.Diego noticed Lisa and asked, "and who is this?"Rachael introduced her sister, "this is my sister Lisa, Lisa, my boss."Diego greeted Lisa, "hi, Lisa. I'm Diego. Nice to meet you," placing a hand on her shoulder. However, Lisa shrugged it off, focusing on her work. Diego, though embarrassed, hid it well.       "I'm sorry about Lisa," Rachael apologized.       "It's okay. I'll leave you to your work," Diego said, making his exit.       "Lisa, you know you don't have to do that. He's my boss," Rachael said.       "Then tell him to keep his hands to himself. He didn't need to touch me," Lisa argued. "Didn't you tell him I hate rich people?" she asked.        "Can you please stop using your hate for rich people to misbehave? Not all of them are bad people, just as not all poor people are good people," Rachael explained.        "I don't care," Lisa said as Rachael sighed. Then there was a knock on Rachael's door, and it was her colleague.        "Hey Sam," Rachael greeted.        "Hey, Rachael. You're needed right now," Sam said.        "Okay, I'll be on my way," Rachael said as Sam nodded, greeting Lisa before leaving.        "I'll be going now. Better be on your best behavior and do your homework," Rachael said.        "I'm not a troublemaker," Lisa claimed.        "Whatever floats your boat," Rachael commented before leaving. Inigo's P.O.V.        "Dax, is everything okay?" I asked when I saw him coming outside the lab.         "Yes, why would you ask that?" Dax replied.        "You've been disassociating yourself from the guys lately, and you don't hang out with me anymore. You promised to deal with that Lisa girl, but I don't see you doing anything," I complained.        "Look, Inigo, you already have the other guys doing it for you. I really don't need to be involved. Moreover, I have something else I need to do," Dax explained.         "And what could that be? Are you scared of Lisa? I didn't know you to be a coward," I told him.          "You better take back what you just said. I'm not scared of anybody," Dax said, annoyed.          "Oh yeah! Then prove it," I challenged.          "I don't need to prove anything to you. I've been with you longer than you have with the guys, and you know what I can do. Telling me to prove my loyalty to you is an insult to my face, and I won't let you insult me," he said slowly, but I could feel his anger.          "You're not my friend. If you were, you would be helping me destroy Lisa," I said through gritted teeth.           "Let that girl be, man. You're just angry because no one has ever gone against you, and she's the first. Don't embarrass yourself any further," Dax advised.           "Whoa! I get it now, you have a crush on Lisa, and you're mad because I'm going to crush your little girlfriend," I said mockingly.           "Come on, dude. You know my taste in women. Lisa can never be one of them, and not everything is about you. Instead of you chasing after some girl, telling you the truth, you should think of ways to become a true best friend," he suggested.           "Fuck you," I retorted.           "Look, I'm done. I'm your best friend, not your henchmen you send to do your dirty work. If you ever truly need me, I'm always there for you," Dax said, walking away as the guys came over.           "Wasn't that Dax I saw leaving?" John asked as I nodded.           "What did he say?" Peter asked.           "Some bullshit. He's just a coward scared of Lisa," I said.           "I told you he was a pussy, and you shouldn't have made him your best friend," James commented.          "Come on. Let's skip school and get some drinks. I feel like getting high," John suggested as we agreed with him.
