Chapter eleven - Lisa Follows Rachael
In the early morning, Rachael prepared for work and found Lisa still at home. "Aren't you going to school today?" She asked. "No, I'm not," Lisa replied. "And why is that?" Rachael inquired. "I didn't do my homework. I'll just follow you to the office. I want to know where you work," Lisa explained. "I know there's no way I'm going to win an argument with you right now, so I'll just let you have your way, but only for today," Rachael conceded. "That's why you're my sister," Lisa said, following her sister out Inigo's P.O.V.I and my friends waited for Lisa to come to school, bit to our surprise, she never showed up. "Where's Lisa?" I asked her so-called best friend. "Why are you asking that?" recca replied, scared. That's what I wanted. For them to be scared of me. "You better answer me before I lose it!" I shouted getting pissed off. "She's not coming to school today," recca said, shivering. "So she's scared of what I would do to her. That's great," I remarked. "Empty dreams. She didn't come not because she was scared but because she just wanted to spend time with her sister," recca said as hurriedly walked away. "What did that chick say?" Peter asked. "She's not coming. We would simply wait for her tomorrow," I said angrily. Rachael and Lisa entered the office, attracting looks, especially towards Lisa, who was considered prettier. "I forgot my bag outside. I'll just go get it," Lisa said, heading out.Meanwhile, Rachael noticed Diego with a lady. "Look, Angelica, I don't love you. Can you please just leave me alone? Diego pushed her in front of everyone.Spotting Rachael, he got worried about her potential misunderstanding and followed her to the office. "Rachael, whatever you think is not entirely the truth," Diego burst into her office. "What do you think I'm thinking?" she asked, sighing. "Sir, you really don't have to explain yourself. It's none of my business whatever you choose to do with your life and time," she responded.Diego pleaded, I just don't want you to get the wrong impression. When I said I was done with that life, I really meant it. Angelica was just a girl I saved from thugs at a shopping mall. You have to believe me. I swear, I don't have anything to do with her. She's just been pestering me."Rachael replied, "it doesn't matter. If there's nothing else, then you better leave. I have things to do." He nodded and said, "I'll leave you alone then. I'll be on my way," he added, winking at her before leaving.Rachael chuckled thinking she must be crazy for talking to him and even crazier for smiling because he winked at her.
