chapter Thirty-Nine- Interesting Library Encounter

The next day at school, Lisa entered the building and spotted Inigo coming her way. She kept a stoic face and folded her wrists. When he saw her expression, he stopped as she passed him, turning to look at her. She then joined a group of girls who pointed towards the library. Inside, Lisa scanned the room until she found the person she was looking for.

"I knew I would find you here," she said, sitting in front of Bea.

"Why are you here?" Bea asked.

"I just wanted to say thank you for saving my life," Lisa said.

"It's nothing. I did what anyone would have done," Bea replied.

"I'm not so sure about that," Lisa said, but when she noticed Bea returning to her reading, she glanced around before refocusing on her.

"so… why are you alone?" Lisa asked.

"nothing. I just prefer my peace and privacy, and I don't really do friends," Bea answered.

"Well, from today, I'll be your friend," Lisa declared.

"Have it your way," Bea replied, as Lisa smiled triumphantly.

Then, the bell rang.

"It's time for class. I'll be taking my leave," Bea said.

"Sorry, but I forgot to ask which class you're in?" Lisa required.

"you're one class ahead of me," Bea said.

"So, I'll be graduating before you?" Lisa asked.

"That's right, but it's nothing since I'll be graduating next year," Bea explained as she left.

"What an interesting girl," Lisa thought, smiling.

********************************************************Inigo was heading to class when Dax met him. "Hey dude. What's with that face?" Dax asked.

"I wanted to talk to Lisa, but her expression was so scary that I literally backed out," Inigo confessed, as Dax laughed.

"You have to keep trying. One day she'll listen to you and probably forgive you," Dax encouraged, as Inigo nodded.

Since that day, Inigo never missed an opportunity to talk to Lisa. He even stopped attending class, waiting at the door of her lectures to end. When she emerged, he would follow her, attempting to start a conversation, but she wouldn't listen. There was a time he knelt down in class, but she just sighed and walked away. This continued for weeks until Diego went to Lisa's house.

"Lisa, Rachael!" He called out, as Rachael came down the stairs wearing shorts, a white singlet, and flip-flops.

"Wow! What's with the outfit?" he asked.

"I didn't know you were coming. I'll go and change," she said, turning to leave, but he stopped her.

"No, you don't have to do that," he insisted, moving closer to her.

"I've never seen you dress like this, so I won't let this opportunity pass. Please keep wearing these kinds of outfits, but only when I'm around," he said, drawing her closer and pecking her on her shoulder, while she placed her hands on his shoulders.
