chapter thirteen - Lisa's Angry Outburst

Lisa struggled with her homework, finding it difficult to understand. Meanwhile, Diego stood behind her, offering assistance.

"I'll help you solve it," he said; but Lisa still engrossed in her book, replied,

"I can do it myself. I don't need your help."

Diego, undeterred, continue, "your sister told me about you. Why don't you like wealthy people? What did they do to make you so angry?"

Lisa retorted, "I mustn't tell you anything."

Persisting, Diego asked, "what if you become rich someday? Would you still hate rich people?"

Lisa snapped, "can you please leave me alone? What's your problem?

"Nothing about me concerns you, so I suggest you mind your business," Lisa continued.

"You really don't have to be rude, you know," Diego said.

"You actually don't have the right to tell me what to do. So, I suggest you keep your opinions to yourself," Lisa responded, unaware of Rachael's presence.

"You need to stop it now, Lisa," Rachael intervened.

"Oh, I won't. Since he was not taught how to mind his business, I'll be grateful teaching him a lesson," Lisa said defiantly.

"Just shut up," Rachael exclaimed. "I'm really sorry. Please don't take anything she said to heart," Rachael apologized to Diego.

"Why are you apologizing? He deserves it. Why is he coming around you? After leaving you and breaking your heart, he thinks he can come back, and everything would be okay? Well, Mr. Sunsedo, it can't possibly happen," Lisa taunted.

"Lisa, for the last time, shut up. I won't let you come to my office and disrespect my boss. You better sit your ass down and shut up," Rachael scolded.

"Why are you defending him? After everything he has done?" Lisa questioned.

"You're crossing the line now," Diego warned.

"Crossing the line?" Lisa laughed hysterically. "Who are you to tell me when I'm crossing the line? You're just mad because I found out that you just want to get into my sister's pants and dump her," Lisa said as Rachael gasped.

 "Lisa!" Rachael shouted.

"Don't Lisa me. It's true. He's just a cunning man who wants to take advantage of weak women," Lisa continued as Rachael slapped her.

"Do I look weak to you, Lisa?" Rachael asked, realizing her mistake. "Oh my God! Lisa, I'm so sorry," Rachael apologized, trying to touch Lisa.

"Don't you dare," Lisa said, packing her things and leaving the office.

"Shit'" Rachael exclaimed, pacing the office. She was crying.

 "It's okay, Rachael," Diego said.

"You don't understand. I've never laid hands on her before," Rachael said looking at her hands. "the hands I promised to use to take care of her are the same hands that caused her pain," she wept as Diego comforted her.

"It's okay, Rachael. You were angry. She'll understand that she was at fault, and that you didn't mean it," Diego assured her
