Chapter one - Lisa's P.O.V.

Lisa's P.O.V

"We need to hurry up Lisa or else we won't be able to get to the grocery store on time. Recca, my one and only best friend, said.

"I'm coming. I wonder why it's so muddy here today,"

"What do you expect? It rained yesterday, so it's no surprise." She answered.

"Now my boots are going to be soiled, I whined as recca turned to me. She looked a little annoyed considering the fact that we were running late to the grocery store.

"Nothing is new, Lisa. You get your boots dirty everyday. So, can we please walk quickly to Gram's shop so we can buy the groceries? She practically begged.

"Why Gram's shop? I asked her.

"It's where I can find so many affordable things. The prices are the lowest. We can't afford to be spending a lot, you know how things are," recca said as we continued walking.

"Ok, let's…" I was about to speak when a shiny black car splashed muddy water on me.

"What the heck!" I shouted, staring at the car. It didn't stop. " Can't you say sorry?" I shouted, but it still didn't stop. I picked up a stone and threw it at the car. It scratched the car, and then it finally stopped.

"Nice job, Lisa," I praised myself as recca held on to me.

"Lisa, let's go. We're going to be in big trouble," she said, sounding scared.

"No, I'll deal with him on my own way," I told her, trying not to show my fear.

As I spoke to her, a guy my age came into view, looking as beautiful as ever. His dark, curly hair was shining in the sunlight. He was the most handsome guy I had ever seen, but it was a pity that God had bestowed such good looks on someone so manner less.

"How dare you throw stones at my car, you lowlife," he said. "Don't you know that this car could buy your entire life?"

"Excuse me, you fool," I retorted. "You don't have to be such an arrogant ass. Why do rich people think they can control everything? You splashed muddy water on us, and instead of apologizing, you came here to show off your stupid riches. I'm sure everything you brag about belongs to your parents. If I were you, I'd go and learn some manners before you lose everything. That's a word of advice," I said walking away. "And before I forget, the next time you do this without apologizing, you'll be washing my clothes. I bet your bottom dollar on it," I remarked firmly.

"You'll pay for humiliating me," the person said angrily.

"And I'll be waiting," I shouted back, making sure he heard me loud and clear.
