The party was over, and as everyone went home, Lisa asked, "where would you two like to have your honeymoon?"
Diego replied, "we won't be going anywhere. We would stay here and spend it with the family."
"Isn't that old fashioned? You're meant to go out of the country, you know, go places and enjoy yourselves," Lisa remarked.
Diego's brother, Inigo, intervened, saying, "Lisa, Diego doesn't want it like that. He wants to stay here in the Philippines. So please stop interfering with other people's decisions and learn to agree with what they want.
"I wasn't talking to you. Just mind your business," Lisa retorted before going upstairs.
"Don't mind her," Rachael said, but Inigo nodded his head, indicating for her not to bother.
********************************************************Lisa woke up in the morning and went about her routine, putting on a pair of blue jeans and a light brown polo. She tied one side of her polo and wore white canvas shoes, packing her hair into a neat ponytail. After adding some accessories, she went downstairs to join the family for breakfast.
"Good morning, everyone," she greeted.
"Good morning, dear. Looking good as always," Simeon complimented.
"Thank you," she said, looking around. "Where's Diego and Rachael?" she asked.
"They're still sleeping. I instructed no one to bother them," Simeon replied.
"That's good, father. At least my brother can have the time he needs with his wife before work comes up," Inigo remarked, and his father agreed with him.
"I'll be going now," Lisa said, standing up with Inigo as they entered the car, driven to school. The car ride was silent until Inigo broke the silence.
"Why don't you want to forgive me and hear me out? Just listen to what I have to say," Inigo pleaded.
"Stop having hopes," Lisa said firmly.
"I'm not. Don't forgive me, just listen to what I have to say," he continued to plead.
"Never," Lisa asserted as she exited the car and entered the school, where she met recca.
"Hi, bestie! I haven't seen you for a very long time. I really missed you," Recca exclaimed.
"I'm so sorry. Rachael got married yesterday, and a lot was on my mind," Lisa explained.
"What! How could you do this to me, Lisa? You know how much I love Rachael too, and you couldn't tell me about something this important. J can't believe I missed Rachael's once-in-a-life time marriage," Recca said sadly.
"I'm really sorry, Recca. I mean it. Please don't hold it against me," Lisa begged.
"I'm still angry with you," Recca said.
"Please don't be. I really have something I need to tell you," Lisa pleaded.
"Okay. I'll listen, but that doesn't mean I've forgiven you," Recca replied as Lisa nodded, smiling, leading Recca to sit on a bench.
