Chapter 5 – A clock stopped

"Ame yo ame yo dokka ike."

Using this ability made Nagisa extremely weak. Her legs began to shake out of tiredness. After a while storm cleared and the Dona disappeared. She slowly moved back dragging her feet. Weak Nagisa grabbed the wall for support only to sense the veil hasn't been lift off. A veil which should go off once every Dona in the radius of the veil drop got cleansed. She was too tired to notice she didn't use Dark matter in her final attack.

"W-wait… WHAT?...the veil? another Dona?"

"No time to think about the Dona. I have to make a run for it!"

Increasing her pace she tried to escape, but her legs kept dragging. She made close to the door of room 1. A slithering movement is seen on the ceiling above her but she was too tired to notice it. Mutated Dona has not been cleansed yet.

*creak. *SLASH

Dona jumped in front of her slashing from her chest to abdomen. The force sent her flying more inward into the room she tried hard to walk out of. She started to loose blood from her cut. She coughed loads of blood. With a huge wound on her chest, she can't even move a finger.

"Ah...~, Rena nee would have killed it in a blink of eye."

"Pathetic me, can't even do it in all the time given." Tears started to flow out of her right eyes.

"At this rate I can't catch up to her…" *sobs.

"No! At this rate I won't even make it out alive…"

"Professor nor nee-chan nor anyone can make it in time to save me"

"If… only… there…were…more…Time." Nagisa's eyes began to close. Everything went blur for her.

On the main building where everyone was monitoring the fight. Professor Draven switched off the video camera feed.

*Clank *SLASH *Screech.

A loud screech echoed throughout the entire room. The annoying sound of the Dona, the cry of Dona. Nagisa slowly opened her eyes.

"W…what is that soun…d?"

Nagisa slowly lift up her head. Her vision were not clear it was hazy. She could only make out that a person was standing in front of her facing the Dona. She closed her eyes couple of times and image began to clear. It was not the professor, it was not her sister that was standing in front of her, it was—

"KAI?" Whispered Nagisa in a soft startled voice.

"What's the meaning of this?" "Why is he here?" "He can't—"

"Please, Get…out of here….You can't….bea—"

*Slash

Just in two seconds Kai slashed the right lower arm of the Dona. He made an old rod with one sharp edge into his weapon haul's spine.

Nagisa's pupils dilated as she thought,

"He is fast…, much fast for a first year."

*Slash.

Another arm, top left arm has been cut off completely. Kai began to fade from vison only leaving after images.

"No! ~ He is much faster… fast as nee-chan?"

*Blink

Multiple slashes can be heard and Dona's scream of agony. Now kai who was leaving afterimage has entirely disappeared from vison.

"No, No, he is much faster than nee-chan…No, the fastest." Nagisa's eyes became more agitated as she was awestruck with his monstrous speed.

*Blink *Slash *Blink *Slash *Blink *Slash.

Kai cut of all its arm leaving top right arm and middle right arm. Some slashes were also made to its back head, both knees and chest. Movements of his were so precise as if he knows where it would strike next. He vanished from one point and appeared from another point as if he were jumping through space.

"It's not just his speed…..is he teleporting….no that can't be."

"Don't tell me his power, it's—"

Kai cut right through the heart of Dona cleansing it. He landed crouching his legs on a resting sword position with Dona being cleansed behind him.

"It's Time."
