Utilizing Chaos

Pati went back to James' corpse that is missing the brain before he give it one solid angry kick, he can't believe that he didn't get any Chaos from eating James' brain.

It doesn't even taste good, he basically just wasted his time for nothing!

After kicking James' corpse until he's satisfied, Pati was about to resume eating the Zombie brains that he killed but he stopped when he heard a distant growling sound. Looking outside of the cafeteria, he saw two other Zombies coming toward him.

To reach the entrance, one needs to ascend the stairs first. The cafeteria Pati is in is one floor below the back entrance of the university that went straight to the second floor.

So looking at the Zombies that were about to reach the stairs, Pati sat down leisurely.

"Alright ladies and gentlemen, the main show is about to start! Today we will be experimenting with whether a Zombie can use the stairs! Prepare yourself for the findings of the century!", Pati remarked playfully while looking at the Zombies.

But just as the Zombies reached the stairs, the front one sprained its ankle before rolling down the stairs like a bowling ball. The others soon follow in the front one's footsteps.

The three Zombies fall on top of each other while growling lightly.

Pati then walks over to them who seem to be struggling just to stand back up, two of them even decided to give up on standing up and just crawl at Pati. While looking at this, Pati increases his strength by 3 points depleting all of his Chaos, "Let's see, how many whacks to the head needed to kill you guys"

Splat!

Swinging the butcher knife repeatedly at the Zombies, Pati finds that his strength really does raise for a bit. These Zombies are probably of the same level as the ones he killed before, and now he needs only three whacks to the head to kill each one of them.

Five messages from the system appeared and he even manage to reach level two. With the university empty except for a couple of people like the Janitors and Security, this place is practically a newbie hunting ground.

It's perfect for Pati who can't even get Chaos if he didn't eat their brains directly.

Using his butcher knife to tore through each of the Zombies' skulls that he killed, Pati extracts the brain in tack although a bit disgusted. Even if he likes to eat brains, the brains are already cleaned but this one is still bloodied.

Even the color is not like a normal brain, it's bluish and disgusting. But what else can he do?

"If I fried the brains I extracted just to gain Chaos, it'll be very difficult for me to move around. Should I just eat it directly?", Pati mutters to himself amidst the silence of the night.

After steeling his resolve, Pati pinches a biting chunk of the Zombie's brain.

The look is awful and the smell coming from it is even worse, but this world is the dream world for any gamer like himself. There's no way he died in his playground like this. Pinching his nose, Pati closed his eyes and puts the chunk of Zombie's brain into his mouth.

Without pausing, he then started chewing on him with a frown. But soon, his frown disappears.

"It... It doesn't taste that bad! A bit chewy because it's not cooked but it's just the same as eating a marshmallow, not really, but yeah not bad!", Pati nodded his head repeatedly.

His eyes then landed on the three Zombie's brains before he started devouring them.

After a moment of eating the Zombie's brains, Pati started to get used to the taste of it and he already finished the second one leaving the last one for him to eat.

Looking at the system's messages, Pati's eyes lit up. He obtained 700 Chaos just like that.

From how it seems, one level is equivalent to 100 Chaos. The higher the level, the higher the Chaos he will gain. But that will probably divert upon reaching certain levels or other Zombies.

'Let's raise my strength by 7 points, the Zombies here are probably slow anyway'

With that, Aldo started to eat the last Zombie's brain.

But just as he bites a fat chunk of the Zombie's brain, a shaky voice suddenly seeped into his ears, "Oh my god...W-What are you doing?"

"Eh?", Pati glanced to his side and finds a guy standing there.

The look on Pati's face was that of a blank look while looking at the guy that is also looking at him but with fear instead. Since the guy is inside the university, he must also be a student here. Entering the university's premises needs an id card, so no one can enter except for students and lecturers.

Realizing that he's still holding the Zombie's brain, Pati stands up with a wry smile.

"I know it looks bad... but it's now what it looks like", he said reassuringly.

Just as he said that the guy instantly replied shouting a bit, "The fuck you mean it's not what it looks like, you're eating a human brain!! Are you insane?!"

"Alright fine! It looks bad I know, but we live in the modern era. People are open-minded. I'm just trying out if the human brain tastes any good than animal brains, they're dead already so it's fine!"

"People are open-minded alright, but this...", the guy pointed at the brains, "This is not okay!"

Hearing the guy shout once again makes Pati looks around warily since there might be other Zombies here, he then glanced back at the guy and said whisperingly, "Bruv, stop shouting. You're going to attract the others"

"Nah bro, I'm going to call the police", the guy said taking out his phone and starting dialing.

Pati looks at the guy in disbelief, but when he saw the serious look on the guy's face he realized that this guy is being serious. Now that he looks at the guy closer, his face is tired as if he just woke up from his sleep.

After dialing the police, the guy puts the phone on his ears before pointing at Pati threateningly, "Stay there! Don't you dare run away!"

"Of course, I'll be waiting here", Pati replied with a shrug.

Explaining the situation to this guy is a pain in the ass so he just resumes his brain-eating while the guy is waiting for the police to answer, Pati doesn't know the situation outside too so he's actually interested if the outside is just like the apocalypse novels that he read.

Soon, the guy puts down his phone with a frown, "Why aren't they answering?", he mutters.

"Probably because this is the apocalypse, my guy. Look at these people I killed, do they look normal to you, or are you actually blind?", Pati replied sarcastically.

Hearing this, the guy was about to rebut but he stopped when he saw the corpses.

Although the faces of the Zombies that Pati killed are already unseeable since their heads are split into two, the bodies show that they're not normal people. Black and blue veins with skin that is decayed, it's a dead flag that they're not normal people.

Upon realizing this, the guy's expression turns pale, "Y-You're not kidding..."

"My family! I have to get back to my family!", the guy exclaimed making Pati annoyed because of how loud he was, it's a miracle that no Zombies are coming their way because of this guy screaming and shouting every time.

Pati finished the last brain with his mouth still dripping with brain juice and blood, he then looks back at the guy and said, "Good luck then", he then turned around heading to the cafeteria again.

Finding that raw brains are not that bad, he will eat the other three Zombies inside the cafeteria there before moving. Two of James' friends and one that falls from the fourth floor.

Seeing this, the guy called out to him, "Wait!"

"What is it?", Pati replied after turning around to look at the guy slightly.

The guy looks at Pati before he looks at the three Zombies that he killed, with a bit of hesitation the guy then said, "Don't you want to check your family too? It's better to stick together"

"You better fuck off before I stick my middle finger up your ass!", Pati replied harshly and left.

Although the guy knows that Pati is a weird guy since he's eating Zombie's brains and doesn't even feel disturbed with the entire world collapsing, he never has expected such an answer coming from Pati, "Forget it, It's not safe to even walk around with a weirdo and also a cannibal"

Intentionally, the guy said it a bit loud just to make Pati hear it.

Gritting his teeth, Pati turns around with the butcher knife ready in hand, "Come here you piece of shit! Who are you calling weirdo and a cannibal!"

But the guy already runs away the moment Pati turns around and raises the butcher knife.

Seeing the guy's back running up the stairs intending to enter the university, Pati stopped chasing after him since it was useless and a waste of time. Aside from that, there are probably more Zombies inside.

"Fuck, I don't know my parents you bastard", Pati cursed while holding the handrail.

With a slightly rough breath with the guy annoying him so much, Pati went back to the cafeteria and eat the three Zombies' brains giving him another 1200 Chaos. His total Chaos right now is 1600 but he's now sitting on the ground patting his stomach.

"I'm full, let me rest for a bit", Pati mutters before sitting on the ground leaning on a counter.

There are still two more corpses of Stacy and Dimas that he killed before the black wind happened, but he decided not to eat them since James doesn't give him any Chaos. Surely his two other friends that are also dumb will not give Chaos.

Well, that is what he wanted to think anyway since those people are assholes. But surely it's because he's eating normal humans, only Zombies' brains will give him Chaos.

"Eating Zombie's brains, food is basically done", Pati chuckle slightly.

All of the novels and even movies about Zombies and the apocalypse has a food problem. But with the Brain Eater class, he doesn't need to worry about food. Eating Zombie's brains is the way!

Opening his status window, Pati thought of a build he will go with.

Since the Zombies are slow and he doesn't know if one scratch from them will turn anyone into Zombies too, he decided to take the safe route. In an apocalypse, he might encounter a moment where he needs to fight hundreds of Zombies.

With that in mind, Pati puts 1000 Chaos into his vitality and 600 Chaos into his strength.

Just as he does that, a surge of energy enters his body recovering his fatigue from swinging the butcher knife at those Zombies earlier. Aside from that, this time the raise in strength can be felt. The butcher knife feels like a butterfly knife, it became very light.

After doing that, Pati stood up, 'Let's continue farming, I'll leave the university when I'm strong enough', he thought clenching both of his hands.

The miserable life of college is no more! It's time for the apocalypse life to start!

But just as he thought of that, scattering footsteps from the distance can be heard. It was followed by a thumping sound which puts a frown on Pati's face.

Getting out of the cafeteria to check, Pati looks up at the stairs before his eyes widen.

"YO! WEIRD GUY! FUCKING HELP ME!", the guy he met before shouted.

Looking at the thing chasing after him, the feeling of wanting to whack the guy's head with the butcher knife or even the feeling of eating his brain is becoming evident.

Well, who can blame Pati? Because that guy is bringing that thing straight at him!

"This motherfucker..."
