Splat!!

Pati looks back before he saw a brief shadow blitzed past his vision, a bone-cracking sound can be heard after that which sounds nasty. He slowly approaches the sound direction carefully.

Slowly he saw a man lying on the ground, it seems to be a janitor judging from his outfit.

With how the man's body splattered like a meat paste surrounded by glass shards, the chances of him surviving are slim. Pati looks up and saw the window on the fourth floor is shattered.

The man falls from the fourth floor and got flattened upon hitting the ground.

"How the hell did he fall from there? Did he just commit suicide...?", Pati mutters to himself in confusion. Beside the cafeteria is the university's south entrance, and Pati knows that the windows there are equipped with thick glass.

Even if someone ran onto the window, it's not going to break that easily.

But just when he was thinking of reporting this incident alongside the group of people that got killed by the black wind, another shadow fall straight onto the janitor's corpse surprising Pati again.

The sound of flesh hitting flesh makes him jump, he looks back at the janitor's corpse and finds there's another man wearing the same outfit on top of the janitor.

"What? Another one? Is it a national suicide day or something?", Pati mutters.

Just after he joked to himself, he immediately hides his pistol inside his jacket seeing the man that falls onto the janitor's corpse is moving. Landing on top of another human, there's some chance of survival so Pati approaches the man.

While approaching the man, Pati slowly halted his steps when he finds the man is moving weirdly as if his entire body is rigid, 'Probably because of the fall', he thought.

"Sir, Are you okay?", Pati asked reaching out with his hand.

Graah!

Out of nowhere, the man that is weirdly moving growls spitting disgusting saliva before trying to reach Pati's hand. In a surprise, Pati immediately retracts back his hand, "Fuck! What the heck is wrong with you bruv?", he exclaimed.

Pati sticks his hand to his chest not intending to help the man anymore, he almost has a heart attack from the sudden movement of the man that can hardly be called a man anymore.

Why? Because the man's face is grotesque with black and blue veins visible on his skin.

Saliva mixed with blood is leaking out of his mouth, almost all of the bones in the man's body are broken, he can only move his left arm. Pati then saw a bite wound on the janitor's corpse, the saliva mixed with blood makes sense now.

Pati then realized what the man was, "Hah! You turn into a fucking Zombie?"

"This is the 21st-century bruv, there are many novels and even movies about Zombies. You are actually that dumb?", Pati started laughing while looking at the poor Zombie trying to reach for him to no avail.

Growling while giving Pati a death stare, the Zombie tries to crawl toward him.

But with only the Zombie's left arm that is still working, it can hardly move from its spot. Pati even started playing with it, giving the Zombie that is waving his left arm a high-five playfully. It's too funny to see a Zombie in real life.

Soon a realization dawns on him when he realized that it's a real-life Zombie!

At first, he finds it funny to see a Zombie, but he realized that it's an actual Zombie. His time playing games in his room makes him sometimes intertwine the gaming world and the real world so the realization just hits him.

Remembering the status window from before, Pati frowns in thought.

"Huh... my gaming senses are tingling. Something tells me that If I kill this Zombie, I'll get exp and level up!", Pati mutters before his eyes lit up in joy.

He ran back to the cafeteria, taking a sharp wood shard the size of an adult's arm.

Nodding his head in satisfaction, Pati went back to the Zombie that hasn't even been able to move from his spot, "Don't worry bruv, I'll end your humiliation for turning into a Zombie"

After saying that, Pati holds the wood shard with both hands and thrust it at the Zombie's head.

"What the fuck?! Class restriction?", Pati mutters in surprise.

It's the basics in each and every game that killing monsters or in this case, Zombie will give him exp which will raise his level, he never heard such a class restriction that can negate the exp that should've been his.

Feeling a bit annoyed, Pati opens the status window again.

Right beside the class section of his status window, Pati finds that his class is called Brain Eater. Treating the status window as a game, Pati tries to tap the Brain Eater word with his hand but failed.

Not giving up, he then tries and taps it with his mind but this time it works.

[Brain Eater]

[Chaos has detected your abnormal obsession with eating fried brains! Brain Eater is a special class designated just for someone like you. You will not be able to gain Chaos from killing other creatures, to get their chaos you will need to eat their brains directly]

"What do you mean people like me? Brain lovers are people too you know!", Pati rebutted with a rough exhale, he doesn't like this system already.

His attention then falls to the latter part of the explanation, 'I need to directly eat their brains? I do like to eat brains and have an open mind to try the human brain, but I like them fried. Raw brain is just no go'

But then suddenly, Pati realized something, "Wait if Zombies are becoming real, then does that mean James is going to become a Zombie too?"

Feeling a little bit of hope of killing James properly, Pati went back to the cafeteria.

Pati's eyes then landed on James' corpse before he sit down in front of it, waiting. Even after waiting for almost five minutes, nothing happened, "Come on, wake up already", he said while poking James' corpse with another sharp wood shard.

Just as he did that, he suddenly heard a growling sound.

The growling sound came from the side, Pati looks to the side and finds that James' two other friends starting to wake up. Both of them wake up abnormally. The reason for their abnormality is that their bones are twisting as they stood up.

"It's not as I expected. Why do their bones need to be twisted like that?", Pati mutters.

While standing up with the wood shard in hand, Pati prepares to kill these two Zombies who were once students. They're not classmates but Pati knows them like he knew James, bullies that he hated the most.

Bashing their heads with the wood shard is a delicacy for Pati, at least he can kill them without any repercussions if the world did turn into a dead world.

Pati watch as both Zombies finally turn their attention to him. They have finally finished awakening if it's the right term for what he was seeing, and while waving the wooden shard in his hand and even whistling, Pati approaches them.

"Sorry guys, but I really am going to enjoy this", he said with a wide smile.

Swish!

Thrusting the sharp wood shard to the male one that he forget the name was, Pati expected that the wood shard will pierce the Zombies' head. But when it landed on the forehead,

Clank!

"Hmm...", Pati gazes at the Zombie and finds that the wood shard only pierced its skin.

There's a good couple of seconds of silence between Pati and the two Zombies, soon Pati widens his eyes in realization, "It didn't manage to pierce through?!"

Graah!

Pati saw the Zombie he trusted trying to claw him but thankfully it was too slow.

Just like any other Zombies in novels and movies, they are very slow. Even a kid can probably dodge their attacks, but their bones are very hard almost like iron and this caught Pati off guard.

The other Zombie raises both arms and claws downwards.

Stepping back once more, Pati manages to dodge the attack easily again but as soon as the Zombie's hands slam the ground. Something shocking happened.

Crack!

"What the- It cracked the ground?!", Pati exclaimed in utter disbelief.

Although he already expected the Zombie is stronger than the average human since they attack without having the conscious of feeling pain, it's still shocking how much power they got. It is probably the capability of a human that exerts every strength they have in their body.

But that is blocked by the pain nerves that put restrain how much power a human can consciously generate without hurting the body too bad.

Pati points his gun at one of the Zombie and pulls the trigger,

Bang!

Thankfully the bullet pierced the Zombie's head before it falls to the ground weakly, with this Pati confirms that the weak spot of the Zombie is still the same. Right on its brain.

With a smile on his face realizing that he's still able to level up, Pati points the pistol to the other Zombie and pulls the trigger.

Click!

Pati stopped for a moment when he realized that there was no bang sound after he pulls the trigger, he looks at the pistol before pulling the trigger again a couple of times.

Click! Click!

"Fuck, I'm out!", he cursed remembering that he fires two bullets at James' corpse earlier.

"Now what am I going to do with this one", Pati mutters while keeping a couple of feet distance, he's racking his brain while looking around trying to find something hard enough to penetrate this Zombie's head.

After a moment, he remembered something.

Looking to his back, Pati ran to a store counter a couple of steps away from him before he opened the drawer. He soon finds a butcher knife that is as big as a basketball. Pretty big because the owner of the store counter is selling satay and usually use this to cut meat.

Pati inspects the big butcher knife with excited eyes, it feels heavy and surely will be able to break that Zombie's skull.

Getting out of the counter, Pati saw the Zombie is only managed to walk two feet despite him searching through the drawer and inspecting the butcher knife. It's very slow, even slower than a kid trying to learn how to walk.

Holding the butcher knife firmly, Pati whacks the Zombie's head with all his might.

Slash!

The slash cuts through its skin and even turns its head to the side, when the Zombie looks back at Pati he finds that the Zombie has its lower jaw broken. After checking the power of the butcher knife, Pati then kept whacking the Zombie to the ground.

It can only do nothing except for getting butchered by Pati, and after about six powerful swings the system's message finally appears once more.

Finally, the Zombie died, Pati wipes the sweat on his forehead before rotating his shoulder, "Damn I'm stiff, it's been so long since I move around this much", Pati mutters to himself.

His eyes then fall to the dead Zombies he killed, "It's so hard to kill them..."

"There's definitely higher-leveled Zombies out there, I need to become stronger fast or my brain will be their food. What is this Chaos anyway?", Pati rubs his chin before opening his status window again.

'My stats raised by 1 point, but my hp got raised by 50. Maybe 1 point means 50 hp?', Pati thought but soon he saw a plus mark just beside each stat he had, he then decided to try it out and taps the plus mark beside the strength stat.

Just as he did that, his strength raised by 1 point and his Chaos decreased by 100 points.

"So that's how it is, Chaos can be allocated freely. Focusing on obtaining Chaos will be a better route to get stronger fast. Maybe I'll give it a try..."

A moment later,

Psshh!

Inside one of the store counters that has a stove, Pati turns on the gas. Searching around the counter, he finds the oil inside the cabinet below before he puts it on the frying pan.

Waiting for a moment, Pati then takes the brain he puts on the side.

Of course, without a doubt the first fried human brain that he will be trying is James' brain, "He's a dumbass, I hope I will not become stupid after eating his brain", Pati mutters before putting the brain into the frying pan before the oil started to spark and bubbles.

Putting the spices into the frying pan like a pro chef, Pati then looks at the final product.

"As an expert and master of the fried brain dishes, the presentation is not that bad. It's more similar to other fried brains that I ate", Pati said to himself slightly nodding as if he was really giving the dish in front of him a real review.

Using a spoon, Pati takes a chunk of the fried human brain before putting it into his mouth.

Crunch!

Since he cooks brain for a long time and already mastered the way to cook it, the crunch is surreal. Even the spices are spot on, the perfect synergy of spiciness and sweetness. It's a bit mushy though compared to other brains that he has eaten.

But when he reaches the center of the fried brain, "Yuck... What the fuck was that?"

Just when he bites the middle of the fried brain, a surge of bitterness welled up in his mouth. It ruins the flavor of the fried human brain that even a brain lover like him feels disgusted.

Waiting for the system message to pop up with a ding, it never came.

"Do I have to eat all of it? Fine...", Pati rolls his eyes before he quickly finishes the entire plate.

Feeling excited after the system's message finally came, but soon Pati's expression darkens when another message from the system appeared.

"I thought even dumb people's brains like James will at least give me something...", Pati started chuckling to himself while shaking his head, the veins around his head then bulged not long after, "But it didn't give me a fucking thing!!"
