CHAPTER: 4

  Title: Screwed

  Ivan POV

"This is not about wealth, you're a bloody flirt!" I blurted out, before I could stop the word from coming out.

His face dropped, as he stared at me in disbelief, looking extremely hurt, but I don't give a damn how others feel, when it has to do with my sister, he can get angry all he wants, but fuck!, I can't let my sis get hurt by him, not now, and not forever.

"Really?, are you the one saying that Ivan? What the fuck does that supposed to mean you bloody fool?, what are you, a saint?" He scoffed, as he bit his lower lips, trying so hard to control his anger.

  "I'm sorry Audrey, but..."

"Are we different? We're both fucking into this together man, you're no different from me, but even worse. You even have the guts to talk about being a flirt?" He scoffed.

"That's enough, ok?" I said, trying to calm the situation.

He rolled his eyes and sat on the chair behind the counter, still looking very furious.

We talked about random things, before I finally left the place and drove home straight, looking forward to seeing my lovely sister.

Driving into my compound, I halt my car at the parking lot, and I stepped out, before walking over to the entrance door, before walking in. I was welcomed with the aroma of cooked pasta, which filled my nostril, as soon as I stepped into the living room.

"Hey mommy, I'm home." I shouted from the living room, as I slumped on the couch tiredly.

I heard footsteps descending down the grand staircase, and I snapped my eyes opened, before looking to the direction, to see Mira, my high school sweetheart, climbing down the stairs with a smile on her face.

"Mira!" I called surprisingly, as I stood up with a smile on my face.

"Look who we have here." She said in her sweet voice, as she walked over to me, and threw her arms around my neck, hugging me tightly, like she was never gonna let go.

Mira was my high school mate back then. We both were so into each other then, we started dating while in grade three, and trust me, we had a very great time then. Things became rough for us, when her parents decided that she studied in paris. She tried convincing her dad not to send her to Paris, but his mind was already made up. She left Chicago after our high school, and that was the end of our relationship, we never got to see each other since then, and here she is, hugging me tightly.

"Oh my God Mira, look at you, you've grown so big now." I exclaimed happily, scanning her with my eyes.

She chuckled softly, as she hit my chest playfully.

"You're not looking bad yourself. I've really missed you so much." She whined, and hugged me again, pressing her body hard on mine.

"Hey don't choke me, ok?" I chuckled softly, as I pat her back. Truth be told, I've really missed her, I've missed everything about her, the smiles, the face and everything, her crazy part, is what I can kill to always see.

She chuckled, and pulled away from me, before dragging me to sit on the couch, making sure to sit beside me.

"When did you arrive Chicago?" I asked surprisingly.

"Let's say I came back just yesterday, and I couldn't wait to see you, so I had to rush down here this morning, but unfortunately, you left quite early, so I had to wait till you get back." She rushed her words, looking extremely happy.

"Wow, so how have life been with you over there?, I bet you have so much to tell me girl." I winked at her.

She rolled her eyes dramatically, waving her hand in the air dismissively. One of her attitude I've missed so much. She always has the habit of doing that alot.

"Cmon Ivan, don't be such a chatterbox, you haven't changed a bit, always being curious, well, sorry to disappoint you, but trust me, you won't hear a thing, not until you have something to eat. I already made pasta with beef, your favorite, and with spices, just exactly how you want it, come over to the dinning now." She winked at me, as she stood up and dragged me to the dinning area, where a covered plate was already laying neatly on the table.

She made me sit down, and opened the plate, revealing the most delicious sight to behold. My mouth salivated, just at the sight of the delicious looking food, and I just couldn't wait to start devouring it.

"Trust me, you'll like it." She smiled at me, as she poured some water from the jug into the glass cup, before going to sit across me.

"Thank you." I said with a smile on my face, and grabbed my cutleries, before feasting on the delicious pasta, like a hungry lion, who have been starving for so long. How much I've missed her food, she always knows the way to a man's heart, which is through stomach. Everything about her, is just so perfect, beauty, sense of fashion, cooking skills, just everything.

"Hey calm down, don't choke yourself." She chuckled amusingly at how I was feasting on the food.

She stared at me, with so much emotions in her face, a happy smile was plastered on her lips.

"What's with that stare?" I asked, with my mouth full of pasta.

She chuckled, and tilted her head to get some strands of her hair off her face.

"You still look as handsome as always." She complimented.

I smiled at her compliment, she still had the habit of complimenting my look, at any slightest opportunity.

"You can say that again." I winked at her.

  She chuckled softly.

An awkward silence filled the atmosphere, as the only sound that could be heard, was that of my cutleries, coupled with our heartbeats.

"So, how was life in Paris?" I broke the awkward silence, after I gulped down some water.

  She shrugged casually.

"Nothing special, everything was boring without you." She flashed a smile, and frowned again.

I just couldn't help, but stared at her, with so much emotions, running through me. I can't deny the fact that I missed her so much, but one thing I'm not sure of, is if the feelings are still there, I'm not sure if I still love her, the way I used to back then.

  "That's..."

"Ivan...Ivan..." I heard my name coming from the living room, and I froze on my seat.

  Oh no...
