Overprotective
Ivan POV
"Alex come over here." Coach's voice sounded through, cutting me off.
"I gotta go man, let's talk about it later, ok?" He pat my shoulder, before walking over to coach.
Letting out a sigh, I bade them goodbye, before walking out of the place, and straight to the parking lot, after which I hopped in on my car, and drove off crazily.
The sound of my ringing phone forced my gaze off the road, and as I picked it up with my right hand, while my left hand was on the steering wheel, a hiss escaped my lips, as I checked the caller ID, and found out it was one of my flings. I have too many flings, I mean, what do you expect from a handsome dude like me?, I can't possibly be so crazy, to settling down with a lady, right?
Letting out a scoff, I dropped the phone and pressed the bluetooth, which was fixed in my ear.
"Hey babe, I've missed you so much, where are you?" Mia's annoying voice came on.
"I'm driving, can we talk later?" I said sarcastically, rolling my eyes angrily at nothing. I mean, why the fuck is she disturbing my line?
"Ok babe. I'll call you later, I love you." She whined.
I rolled my eyes and pressed the bluetooth again, before increasing the speed, my gaze fixated on the road, as my hands did magic on the steering wheel.
After driving for minutes, I finally arrived Lucy's bar, where one of my friends works as a waiter.
Stepping into the bar, all eyes were on me, as the ladies couldn't help, but drool over me, with pure lust on their faces, and trust me, I wouldn't leave here without having one of them.
"Yo man!" I smiled, as I walked to the counter, where Audrey, my friend was arranging drinks on a tray.
"Look who we have here. My workaholic buddy that's always busy is finally here to see me after so many months, bet I'll have loads of surprises today." He said excitedly, as he shook hands with me.
"That's not funny Audrey, you know I'm always busy, so don't blame me for not coming to see you for so long, and stop exaggerating man, it's not been so long since I last saw you, I remembered coming here last two weeks." I rolled my eyes.
He chuckled and excused himself, before taking the tray to serve one of their customers. This dude is really trying, working here, and people ordering him around like he's some slave, fuck that, I can't tolerate that shit.
"Hey handsome." I heard a voice behind me.
Turning to see where the voice came from, I was welcomed with two deep blue eyes, which were as sexy as anything. I shifted my eyes from hers, and looked at her whole face, she has a long red hair, which were falling freely over her shoulders.
"Hey." I said simply, but seductive enough to sweep her off her feet.
"You're heavenly cute I must say. Anyways, I'm Lilian Sanchez, you?" She smiled sweetly, as she held out her hand to me for a handshake.
I flashed a smile and took her hand in mine, but retracted almost immediately. I hate being into ladies in public, so no one would mistake us for some shits.
"Thanks for the compliment, I'm Ivan Romero." I said with the most seductive smiles ever.
"So can I have your contact?, maybe we can hang out some other time, I wouldn't mind grabbing a drink with Mr handsome." She said seductively, as she winked at me.
"Sure." I smiled wryly, as I held out my hand to her.
She smiled and placed her phone on my palm.
I inputted my number, and gave it back to her.
"Alright thanks alot, I'll call you later." She said, before walking away, wiggling her ass.
"Hey man." Audrey called my attention.
I turned to see him leaning on the counter, with his palm supporting his chin.
"That lady, she's a big fish." He winked at me.
I glanced back at the Lilian girl, who was busy discussing with her friends, and peeking at me with a smile on her face, before turning to face Audrey again.
"Who's she?" I asked.
"Senator Sanchez daughter." He whispered to my, and I mouthed an 'oh'.
"Yo, so what's up man, it's been a while man. How have you been?" I asked with a smile on my face, changing the topic.
"Nothing much buddy, just struggling to make a living here. So tell me, how have you been coping with your swimming stuff?" He asked, curiosity clear in his tone.
"Cool with it, just that I've been busy with some things lately, that I haven't gotten enough time to go for training." I replied with a sigh.
"You don't have to joke with your training man, remember you gat contest coming in a few months, and you have to get yourself prepared, both physically, emotionally, and psychologically." He scolded.
"Now you're sounding like my sister, so annoying. Do I look like a baby, that can't take care of myself? Snap out of that man, I know all of that, and I'm still working towards it." I rolled my eyes.
He scoffed and stood erect.
"Speaking of your sister, how's that damsel?" He smirked foolishly.
"You will never cease to be crazy. I've told you to stay away from my sis, so why the fuck are you asking of her?" I feigned annoyance. I know he has a crush on my sister, coz he had spoken to me about it sometime ago, and I told him to get rid of that feelings. I'm not comfortable with the two of them being together, maybe because I'm overprotective of her or because I don't trust my friend enough. I've been with them almost all my life, we're partners in doing dirty things, which includes sleeping around with ladies and all that, so how can I trust my sister's heart with someone like that? I know you may say that what about the ladies I do sleep with, don't they have brothers and all that, but fuck that, that's their business, I'm talking about my sister here, the only family I have, the only reason why I'm doing dirty things to raise money to give her a good life.
"Cmon man, you know I have a big crush on your sister, and it's already turning to love, why saying that, huh?" He rolled his eyes.
"Snap out of that Audrey, I told you to stay away from her, things can't work between you two." I said, trying to control the sudden anger, trying to take over me.
"Why?, is it because I am not wealthy enough?" He scoffed, obviously hurt.
"This is not about wealth, you're a bloody flirt man!"...
