Eclipse Jister MK III

As Kita began walking again after finishing his meal, he noticed that his tails had also continued their job. From the looks of it, they weren't really in a hurry to do anything. They were just following him.

"I wonder what they want. Clearly they don't wanna attack me or something."

But that didn't mean the tails didn't have any bad intention. if someone was following someone, almost always it meant they had some bad intentions for the latter.

As Kita walked around the shopping district, He thought about how to handle them. He could easily lose them if he walked into the huge mall in front of him. But that would be counter intuitive. Kita wanted to ask them about their employer. But he doubted that he could get that information out of them. And from the looks of it, they probably knew where he was staying. So losing them would be pointless as he still needed to go back to his hotel one last time.

So instead of trying to avoid them or let them be, Kita decided to confront them one at a time. But first he should finish what he had set out to do.

He soon came near the Aftiss Firearm store. He could see the huge store where there was a lot of high end firearms on display. Although he saw quite a few guns that he liked, he decided to get in before anything. Just going in should disorient his tails. But if it didn't and they still persisted, the Kita would be able to handle them.

After Kita entered the store, he was greeted by a salesman clad in a formal attire. From the looks of the store, it was evident that it was a really high-end Store. Everything from the furnishing, to the finishing of the store, the other customers and the salesman, everyone looked posh.

In front of them, Kita was wearing a pretty informal Attire that didn't even nearly looked posh enough. Also, he had a cat on his shoulder. To be honest he didn't consider the environment of the store before deciding to head over to it. But now that he was here, he felt like maybe he should've wore something more formal.

But there was nothing he could do about it, He decided just go with the flow.

"Welcome to Aftiss Firearm. How may we help you?", The Salesman that greeted him asked.

"Hi, I'm looking for a personal weapon, preferably something concealing."

"Hmm, Personal, Concealing. Right this way.", The Man guided Kita towards a specific corner of the store where there was another salesman behind the counter. He was cleaning a gun when Kita sat down. The man pushed a button and the whole ensemble of the gun before him went away.

The Man who guided him till now left him with the person behind the counter.

"Hello, How may I help you today?"

"Hi, I'm looking for something personal and concealing."

The guy behind the counter thought for a before turning. He took out a cases from behind him and presented them before Kita.

He opened the first case.

As Kita looked inside it, there was only a small metallic block inside it, It wasn't big. Only about 15cm in length and 3 cm in width.

"Meson Phaser MK II. Fires High power laser beam capable of melting through solid 10 inches of solid composits. Has 3 power settings, customizable as per your wishes." The Man said as he picked up the metal cube from the case. He pressed somewhere and the block suddenly turned into a full fledged weapon.

"From packed to ready for firing in 0.8 seconds. Fully internal cooling mechanism capable of firing 15 full powered shots before a 30 minute cool down." He said before pressing a button that pushed out a batter pack.

"High density MB8394 Battery pack. Guaranteed for 30 full powered shots before needs changing." The Man said before putting down the gun before Kita.

Kita took it in his hands, There were no batter pack inside so it was okay. From the looks of it, it was a pretty compact solution. As he held the gun, he checked for the feeling in his hands. It was a pretty good fit and he could feel the gun handle change to fit his hands better.

"How much energy is in full power shot?", He asked the salesman.

"About 100,000 watts. But focused onto such a tiny surface, it packs a punch."

Kita was astonished by the number. The gun could chew through about 1.5 Million watts before needing to cooldown! That was really good! It really showed that what he was holding was a quality weapon. Just what he expected from Aftiss Firearms.

But a laser weapon wasn't what he was here for. He knew for a fact that Laser weapons weren't the best of what they offered. Their specialty was actually in Ballistics Firearms rather than laser weapons.

So he put down the Gun before asking.

"Can you show me your ballistics options?"

The man's eyes sharpened. He understood that Kita knew what they specialized in.

"Of course." He said before putting away the gun. He quickly opened up another case that he had taken out earlier.

He opened it up, It showed another similar block of metal. But it was a bit more smaller. Around 12cm.

Kita could guess that it would unfold in a similar fashion to the last one.

"Eclipse Jister MK III. Fires specially produced 17mm high penetration rounds. It can bore through about 6 inches of solid composites with ease." He said as he pressed a button.

Similarly to the last gun, it unfolded into a full fledged gun.

"Fully operational in 0.6 seconds. Has a 35 round internal magazine extendable for upto 50 rounds before needing to reload."

"What? 50 rounds?" Kita asked in a astonished voice.

The man calmly just gave a slight nod.

The Gun was really compact. Kita couldn't imagine it being able to store 50 rounds internally! How the hell did they manage to fit so much ammo inside of such a small form factor? But then he remembered that the bullets were also specially designed by them. So they were probably using some clever proprietary technique to store soo much inside the gun. Kita would absolutely love to know how they were managing this.

Kita held the gun in his hands. It also felt quite nice to touch. The more he looked at it, the more he liked it. There was something about the gun that drew him in. He wasn't quite sure what it was. But the gun was exquisitely crafted. He could feel that everything about the gun itself just exuded elegance.

"Meow." Noir said.

"You also like it huh? Let's take it then." Kita had made up his mind.
