One must always sell something to survive in this society.

But all of this was too cruel for Xiaozheng. On the first snowfall of winter at the train station, he lit the last cigarette he owned, using his meager wage just enough to get him home.

As Lin Xiaozheng exited the station, he saw an old man fidgeting with skewers from afar. Under the orange light, the tantalizing aroma drew him in.

Suddenly, his mind was filled with numerous things. Before he could react, right in front of his eyes in this alien body, the very man who fired him appeared once more.

The corpulent body hadn't changed, except this time, he was dressed in an extravagant silk robe, with a decorative rapier at his waist, mainly for its looks. Nonetheless, what caught the eye the most was still his bald shiny scalp.

Under the orange oil lamp, his hairless head was shiny as ever, even adding some brightness to the dim tavern.

Lin Xiaozheng, or rather, Violet, was staring blankly at the impatient middle-aged man in front of her, then looking around at the surrounding environment.

Currently, he was sitting in a medieval-style tavern, with everyone's attention on him. From what he remembered, the bald man in front of him gesturing and pointing about was the mayor of this town.

"Listen carefully, wench, it's written black and white in the contract. If you can't repay these five thousand Gold Coins, you'll have to be my woman."
