The translation/grammar becomes subpar by the latter end - it’s intelligible but gives the story a hamfisted quality that only my desire to know how it ends could overcome. I skipped many chapters. Regardless, it’s a fun twist on the otome game trope and I LOVE that Aurora didn’t have a romance arc that turned her into a damsel, desperately reliant on a man.

I’m tired of MLs who act like petulant boys and still have amazing women chasing after them - this is how subpar men pass on their genetic material to the next generation. These kinds of men should be the ones who’s family lines end with them. 🤣

It’s fine but it gets silly after a hundred chapters - I don’t like silly, makes me feel like I’m reading a book about children. It’s weird enough that all MLs are virgins because they all hate being touched. I don’t like purity culture for any gender, and especially not for people over 20. If it’s your genre though it’s not a bad read.

Everything seems on par for the genre considering there’s a chick being saved that actively asked him to go away and he macho-ed his way into horrible consequences for a slew of innocents, which MC feels little remorse for bc he’s not the original owner of the body. It escalates pretty rapidly and I’m not optimistic on the author’s ability to maintain interest with that level of drama without getting trite. The use of cliche’s aside, it did pique my curiosity and I’d be interested in reading if it were free but it didn’t quite hook me into paying for more chapters.

For this genre, it’s really good. I didn’t like how the FL became focused on being pregnant before she’d done anything useful with her life, but them’s the breaks for FLs on this platform. I was glad to see a ML that wasn’t overly doting or domineering, but he does seem to treat her like a pet, which is gross. I’d like to see a FL that puts her ambitions first instead of being unnecessarily self-sacrificing, but again, that’s what this platform focuses on.

Same as other rebirth novels - is there only one kind of toxic family in China? Why are they all so stingy with eggs?

Meh - nothing new. If this is your comfort genre it’ll be everything you’re looking for.

The aphrodisiac is overplayed - so is the ml that “bullied” a child but feels really bad about it so they get married and live happily ever after. Can we get rid of purity culture please? Seems like the only novels being pushed lately are based on the mistreatment of adolescent girls.
