Please," Avery replied as she began to roll her hips to get some friction. “Even if it's your life?" “Yes," she affirmed in her dazed state. Sebastian smiled at her reply and gently raised his hands towards her neck. “Fine," Sebastian pulled the lady onto his thighs a little bit back, and he could see she was overdosed. A witch

Tessy couldn't believe it, but she knew the great and ruthless Sebastian would never joke about something like this.

'She is dead?'

"Did you kill her, Mr. Sebastian?" Tessy asked, but Sebastian chose not to reply. He drinks the Americamo before dropping it back on the table.

"If that will be all. Then I would love to go,"

"Wait. I didn't tell her to do anything," Tessy quickly added in haste, her eyes wide open.

Her hands didn't stop shaking against her side as she tried to look into Sebastian's eyes. "I—I only told her to find something about you for me."

"And that was the reason why she tried to kill me in my abode. She confessed that it was you who sent her," Sebastian said.

He already figured out that the lady in front of him is one of the demon descendants cast away in the past to live on Earth.

"No! I didn't tell her to do any of that. I would never do that. I just—I just," Tessy stated, startled by Sebastian's sudden outburst. She couldn't bring herself to finish her statement.

She never sends her maid to find something else other than to look for Sebastian and find out if he is interested in a woman. What happened?

"Then you will need to bring some proof, Tessy. If that will be all," Sebastian said, rising to leave the chair, but Tessy stopped him.

"Her corpse. Please, where is it?" Tessy asked. Sebastian halted his movement and turned his head towards the woman in front of him.

"I thought you would be crying by now, begging me to spare your life." Sebastian said.

And yes, Tessy knew he was supposed to feel like this, but she knew about one of his powers. Her father had told her everything.

"I know you read people's lips, and you could tell if I'm lying or not," Tessy replied. Her eyes mellowed as tears trickled down her face.

"I can help you, Mr. Sebastian," Tessy added.

"You will get her corpse today," Sebastian replied, leaving the restaurant in his long strides.

His eyes darkened with every step he took, but he noticed something and was also able to gain two things.

"She doesn't know about her death, and she knows more about me compared to others."

"She is not an ordinary demon."

"A witch?"

"Then who was it?" he asked in his mind as he headed towards the car. Damien was already waiting for him in the car, humming a song.

Alex got into the driver's seat while Damien sat beside him.

"Who is that woman, Seb? She is like us," Damien said, and Alex didn't interject because Damien was right.

"You figure that out straight. That's cool, buddy. She is a crazy witch," Sebastian replied with sarcasm, and Damien rolled his eyes at his choice of words.

"I thought they all died a long time ago. This is fascinating," Damien said with a smug smile.

Sebastian's lips pulled up to form a smirk, but his demeanor changed instantly.

"She came to demand for a corpse. Isn't that nice?" Sebastian added. Damien saw that it wasn't sarcasm, and he didn't find it funny one bit.

"That beautiful woman is working as undertaker. I can't believe it. A cops? A hunter?" Damien asked, not sure if they would be dealing with hunters now.

"Just a witch. You should drive, Damien."

Damien nodded his head, wondering why a witch was suddenly interested in Sebastian.

However, he could see Sebastian was not joking. Damien starts the car and drives towards the city.

"I hope she didn't come asking for your hand in marriage," Damien asked, looking in the mirror.

"It's just a minor issue. I got it settled out."

"But it seems she is interested in you; don't you want to know more about her?" Damien teases Sebastian.

"I should just send your corpse to her then."

"Oh, are you going to be committed now? Well, it wasn't that hard to believe. I mean, you are getting married, so you should remain faithful to your wife."

Sebastian turned his head in Damien's direction. "You should watch your front, young man," Sebastian said.

Damien left Sebastian alone to take a peek outside the window.

The two chat about the hunters killing some vampires and some other lowly demons in some parts of the city while the car trails off the road.

Sebastian got into his sitting room. The TV was playing while the girl slept soundly on the couch. Her head was thrown to the back while her eyes closed shut. The AC is on, but Sebastian noticed the sweat on her forehead.

"Is she having a nightmare?" Sebastian wondered as he walked towards her. His eyes darkened when he saw Avery in this state with her dress pulled up, exposing her thighs.

Still, he just wanted to tell her to sleep in the bedroom if she felt like sleeping.

"Humans and their foolish actions," Sebastian clicked his tongue before walking away from the sitting room, leaving Avery there.

The rest of the days went by fast. Avery didn't see Sebastian that much except in the morning, but apart from that, they didn't encounter each other.

However, the wedding day is finally approaching. Tomorrow, to be precise.

Just like Hazel promised, she brought the wedding dress a day to the wedding.

"What do you think about this dress, Avery? I later picked this." Hazel said, showing Avery the wedding dress.

It was already 5 p.m., and the sun was already about to set.

"I love the dress, Hazel; thank you," Avery confessed. She truly loved the dress.

"I will be going now, then. See you tomorrow morning."

"You too,"

"Please sleep well and make sure he doesn't come in," Hazel whispered, audible enough for Avery to hear.

"I won't," Avery promised, smiling.

Avery couldn't sleep well. that night as she dreamt about seeing a ghost in her wedding dress.

___

The gentle knock on the door made Avery realize it was finally today. She will be stepping into a new world from today on.

Hazel came into the room, smiling wide at Avery.

"Good morning, beautiful bride. I hope you slept well." Hazel asked.

"I slept well. All thanks to you." Avery chirped in. She finally needs to start dressing for today.

"I need to get you ready for today. You need to brush your teeth and take your bath first," Hazel said, and Avery nodded her head in agreement.

She knew she had to comply with whatever it was. Hazel and Avery walked into the bathroom.

"You should brush your teeth while I prepare the bath for you," Hazel told Avery.

Avery took her brush and toothpaste and began to brush. Hazel went back to the bedroom and brought out a box.

She brought the box inside the bathroom and put the things inside it out. Hazel poured the fragrance oil into the bath. She spread roses on it and added some other flowery scent to the water.

By the time Avery turned her head to look at the bathtub, The fragrance assaulted her nostrils without warning. Invading her senses. The beautiful view rendered her speechless as she stared at the bathtub.

"I'm glad you like it. You should wash up. When you are done, come out. I will be waiting in the bedroom for you." Hazel explained, her voice laced with excitement.

She left the bathroom, leaving Avery to wash herself up.

Avery was dumbstruck; her eyes mellowed and her gaze blurred with every step she took towards it.

"No, Avery. You have nothing to lose. Just go ahead with the flow, Avery," Avery said aloud in the room. She pulled off her dress and submerged herself in the water bath.
