Declan stared at me for a moment and then nodded, conceding. “What I meant was that I’d like to take you anywhere in the world that you’d like to go.” He tilted his head to the side. “Is there any place that you’ve always wanted to go?”
I lifted one shoulder. “Ireland, Italy, or Scotland. Maybe Hawaii.”
He chuckled. “We can go to Hawaii any time. So, Ireland... or the French Rivera, perhaps?”
I laughed, knowing he was teasing me. “Which place would you rather go?”
“Well, I’ve never been to Ireland, but it’s more laid back than the French Rivera—”
“Perfect!” I shrugged. “We can dress up any time. Right?”
“Yes, we can.” He bit his lower lip. “Ireland could be fun—”
“Then, Ireland it is!” A thrill went through me at the prospect. “But will we be able to get back in time before my classes start?”
