23 I Just Can't Let You Go

Li Na sat silently sat on the sofa and gazed into the air. Her eyes were dull and had bags under them, she didn't sleep a bit because she had been up all night waiting for Zhang Wei, she had called him severally but he didn't answer. She closed her eyes and opened them and saw Zhang Wei standing in front of her,she was a shocked but also relived. She got up and quickly hugged him.

"where have you been?" Li Na asked

"I was in a meeting" he said as he walked towards her and gave her a hug.

Later in the evening, Zhang Wei walked round the garden thinking of what happened between him and Mei and the more he thought about it, the more angry he became. His phone lit up and he looked at it and saw that it was Mei that was calling him. He switched off his phone and hit his hand on the tree opposite him causing him to bleed. He was in deep pain because he had cheated on his wife, he quickly went upstairs to treat his wound.

"what happened?" Li Na asked as she helped him treat his wound. Zhang Wei didn't answer. He quietly looked at her and drew her closer and lowered his head and kissed her deeply, Li Na was caught off guard but later complied.

At night, Zhang Wei couldn't sleep,he caressed Li Na's forehead and moved down to her lips while she was sleeping peacefully. The more he thought about the previous night with Mei, his heart became filled with guilt and pain.

"I'm sorry" he said faintly.

The following week,Zhang Wei didn't set foot in his office he was at home thinking of whether to tell Li Na everything or not. The thought of Li Na leaving him swept through his mind,it scared him.

"no I can't tell Li Na" he thought to himself

"I'll just find a way to deal with Mei. I'm sorry Li Na I just can't let you go"
