Fighting Back

1st PoV

I was conflicted between taking the hit and blocking it. I was scared that I would get beaten like usual. I finally decided I am going to change and blocked it using an improvised upper block and step back.

Then I said, "I don't want any trouble".

The bully seeing me blocking the hit and speaking like that got flustered and angry as that did not happen before.

He ran towards me and tried to punch my nose. Again I did the same block but this time after blocking I pulled back my wrist and punched. I twisted my punch and the last second to add more power as the kid got pushed back because of the punch.

The bully fell as he was groaning in pain. Seeing this I kicked his shin. The bully started crying.

I then started walking back outside. At the last second, I turned back and said "Don't mess with me. I will do worse to you".

The kids were a bit scared hearing that cold tone from me. One of them wanted to speak back but hesitated seeing the bully. I then went back to my home with a satisfied expression on my face.

The next day when I reached the school, the students of the school weirdly looked at me. I could hear whispers about saying audacity, is he stupid or brave and other things like that.

I then went to my classroom as I heard the principal speak through the speakers "Axel, come to my office immediately".

If it was like my original personality I would have run down to the principal's office but now after yesterday, I didn't care. I would walk to the principal's office calmly. If the principal wants to talk to me, he needs to have a bit of patience. I knocked on the door as the principal said to enter. I got in and I saw the bully and the kids.

The principal then asked, "Did you beat him up yesterday?".

I said, "If self-defence includes then yes." The principal then had a small smile on his face as he said "Violence is allowed in the school".

Hearing those words I said, "Though I said I beat him up yesterday, I didn't say it was inside the school. It was outside the school".

The principal lost his smile and he said "You are lying. They said you were in the school."

I said, "So you are going to listen to them no matter what I say. What an impartial principal".

The principal had a nerve popping out as he said "Don't get too cocky. Violence isn't allowed in school. You will get 20 days of suspension and you have to write an apology letter."

Hearing that I said "No". The principal and students had a surprised expression as the principal said "What do you mean no? You will do as I say".

I said "I forgot how illiterate the principal was. Anyway, what I meant to say was I can handle the suspension but the apology letter, no.

The principal became angry and said, "40 days of suspension and the letter. If you don't write a letter you won't be able to take the exams".

The principal had a smirk on his face as he thought he succeeded. I then took out a piece of paper and gave it to the principal.

The principal read the paper and became angry as he begrudgingly signed the paper.

I left the room as I heard the bully ask "Why did let him go?" I waited to hear how the principal would answer as I was curious. He then said, "That brat had a transfer certificate. He knew this would have happened. He planned this. No wonder why he was so confident".

I then left the school and walked back home.

Flashback end

Seeing the bitter start and the sweet ending was memorable. As those moments defined me. I saw other memories of me with my family and recent memories like spending time with Iris, Noah and Lily.

I had a smile on my face as I saw those moments. Soon darkness fell and I could see light in the distance.

I walked towards the light as I saw crystals breaking down. I couldn't count the crystals as they looked like they would keep on going forever.

After all the crystals broke only 3 remained. Two big crystals and one enormous crystal. It was almost twice as tall as me.

The two crystals had yellow and blue colours while the enormous one had a pale black colour.

Curiously I touched the pale crystal. As soon as I was about to touch it I returned to the real world.

I woke up with sweat covering my entire body. I checked Iris and she was still sleeping. I carried Iris carefully and put her in the bed as I returned to the living room. I thought about what these crystals are. I then said "Manipulation Magic Water Manipulation Control".

I tried to do the spell but it didn't work. I tried to do it a few more times. Only after the 4th try, I could do it.

I then tried to check the other magic as I said "Fire Magic Flame Creation".

Earlier when I did this spell, I could make a huge fireball in my hand. But this time I couldn't use it at all. It was like my mana was blocked out. I tried to do it again and again but it simply didn't work. I tried another manipulation magic spell. After a few tries it worked but other magics no matter how many times I do it don't work. I got fed up and decided to rest as I was still tired.

I went to the other bedroom and slept in the bed. The next morning I woke up as Iris was making tea. I then asked her "Are you okay? You didn't wake up yesterday".

Iris replied "I had some memories to watch. I heard the King's announcement. We can't use any magic other than Our magic, Mana, Mind magic and sealing magic. Our access to other magic has been completely cut off.
