Chapter 21: The Crowd Goes Wild

I'm sending this early in case I forgot about it

Have fun my readers

_______

Toya made the first move, launching a straight punch as he shot a stream of blue flame towards Ryuji. Ryuji saw this and dodged to the side, moving towards Toya. But as he got in the middle, he rolled to the other side as a whip of flame flew towards him.

Ryuji continued forward, aiming to land a punch on Toya's face. But as he got near, he saw Toya raise his two fingers. Out of reflex, Ryuji took a few steps back as a fire wall appeared in front of Toya.

The crowd erupted into cheers as they watched the fight unfold. They had never seen a kid fight like this before, and they were amazed by Toya's skill and power.

The old man who was watching the fight analyzed the situation, "He has potential," he said, nodding to himself.

Toya propelled forward using the jet of flame beneath his feet, and Ryuji tried to guess which kind of attack Toya was going to launch. As soon as Toya got close to Ryuji, he stopped in the air and brought his palm forward, launching a fiery blast. It had some recoil, but Toya was ready for it.

This time, Ryuji didn't dodge, but got into position and launched a right hook at the fire blast. The fire disappeared after receiving the attack, which surprised Toya. Ryuji dashed towards Toya while moving his head left to right.

Ryuji launched a punch to Toya's stomach, but Toya used his flame to propel backward, hitting the cage. This was the worst move Toya could make, as Ryuji suddenly appeared in front of him and launched a devastating liver punch, causing Toya to puke out saliva.

'He's too fast,' Toya said inwardly, realizing that he needed to be careful if he received another hit, or he would lose the fight. He regretted not finding someone weaker to fight.

Toya flew upward and flew to the other side of the cage, barely avoiding another punch. The punch that Ryuji just made caused the cage metal to bend. That metal was specifically made, and Ryuji managed to do that.

'I need to be careful. If I receive another hit, I will lose the fight,' Toya said to himself.

Toya put both of his hands to the other side on top of each other. Then, a ball of concentrated fire was being gathered in the middle of his hand.

'Hadouken,' Toya said in his mind as he thrust his palms forward, releasing a flaming energy wave.

Ryuji challenged the energy wave as he gathered energy in his hand, causing it to glow yellow. He punched the Hadouken, and it was destroyed.

'Damn, he doesn't even receive any injuries,' Toya said to himself.

"That was a little bit hot," Ryuji said with a smile, enjoying the fight.

Ryuji walked menacingly towards Toya, feeling confident that he didn't need to be careful anymore. "Well, I'm going to end this fight," Ryuji said as he massaged his neck.

Some of the crowd saw this and said, "Well, he's got no chance after all, fighting the champion."

Toya had no other option left, so he got into horse stance and proceeded to shoot multiple fire punches at Ryuji. But Ryuji dodged every single one of them with ease.

"I'm a little disappointed in you, kid. I thought you would exchange close combat with me, but no, you used a smart way. Great praise, but this is the end," Ryuji said, taking a step forward as his legs tensed up. With that, he moved so fast that he appeared in front of Toya, and he decided to end the fight with an uppercut. But he didn't anticipate what Toya had in store for him.

As Toya's hand formed a sphere of fire, it spun in many directions. Toya had finally completed it, and with this, Toya landed the Rasengan straight to Ryuji's stomach.

While Ryuji was a bit surprised by the damage as he missed his uppercut, it only grazed Toya's chin, and the Rasengan launched Ryuji into the cage.

Everyone began shouting crazily, seeing Toya make a comeback of the century. Toya was a bit unstable as the graze had done some damage to him.

As the smoke cleared, Ryuji was on the ground, leaning against the cage. There was a spiral twist on Ryuji's stomach to show how much power the Rasengan packed. That damage sent Ryuji into shock, and he fainted for a few seconds.

"Is that enough? I think not," Toya raised his hand as he created a bigger fireball. Not a Rasengan, because he didn't know how to control it yet.

Ryuji opened his eyes as he saw Toya with the huge flaming ball. This was the last thing he saw as he closed his eyes, knowing that it was going to end him. He never knew that a small ball could pack such a punch.

Toya threw the fireball, and it practically destroyed the arena ground, melting everything in its path. But the cage was made with the same material as some hero weapons, so it remained intact.

Despite the attack, Ryuji was still fine, but his clothes were the only thing that didn't survive. Toya, after throwing the fireball, fell on his knees, as it was too much. Even if it burned him a little bit, he was glad he had won the fight.

The crowd was on the edge of their seats as they watched the intense fight between Toya and Ryuji. The two fighters were evenly matched, and it was impossible to predict who would come out on top.

But in the end, it was Toya who emerged victorious. He had landed a devastating Rasengan on Ryuji's stomach, sending him flying into the cage. And just when everyone thought it was over, Toya had thrown a massive fireball that practically destroyed the arena ground.

"That's it, the fight is over. The winner is Rekka!" the announcer shouted, his voice filled with excitement. "He signifies his name very well as he landed a large fireball, but to note that our streak champion is only burnt up a bit."

The crowd erupted into cheers as they watched Toya, the underdog, defeat the reigning champion. They couldn't believe what they had just witnessed. It was a fight for the ages, and Toya had proven that he was a force to be reckoned with.

....

Toya's thoughts were racing as he lay on the bed in the medical room. He knew that he had been lucky to win the fight against Ryuji, but he also knew that he couldn't let his guard down in the future. "I need to be careful next time," he thought to himself.

His room was small but cozy, with a bed, a table, and a few chairs. He was glad to be alone, as it gave him time to think about the fight and what he could have done better.

The door opened, and a doctor walked in. "Do you want to do any check-up? There must be a broken rib after receiving that punch," the doctor asked.

"No," Toya said, not wanting to reveal his secret identity. He didn't want his blood to be taken or someone to take a bit out of his skin.

The doctor understood and said, "You should be glad that Ryuji held back. If he didn't, you would have lost the fight the moment you received that hit."

"I know. Even I held back. I should have gone full power," Toya said, feeling a bit disappointed in himself.

"If you still want to fight, remember that not everyone is like Ryuji," the doctor said, trying to offer some words of wisdom.

"I understand," Toya said, feeling grateful for the doctor's advice.

"Kid, your age should not be here," the doctor said, looking at Toya with concern.

"I know, but I have to," Toya said, feeling a bit defensive.

The doctor understood and said, "If you need anything, press the small button."

With that, the doctor left the room, leaving Toya alone with his thoughts.
