Chapter 1Bloody Orb

It has been years since the first portal appeared on Earth in different parts of the world.

Spewing forth multitude upon multitudes of monster on Earth.

Not sparing a single continent from the invaders.

A lot of solutions were brought forward.

Several weapons were used, bombs were detonated, missiles were launched atomic bombs was used turning some part of the world into wastelands killing some of the monsters but the numbers killed were negligible.

It was to no avail as those monsters were faster, stronger and a little bit smart.

They feel danger and before they could get hit, they flee.

After several setbacks and pointless sacrifices, humanity has learned it's lessons.

In order to effectively combat this otherworldly threat, was to harness the power of the monsters and evolve themselves through defeating these monsters, absorbing their genome in their body, collecting blood orbs.

Defeating the monsters this way, humanity grew more resilient and resistant than ever before.

Humanity turned the tide from the brink of extinction to being at a stalemate with those beasts from he other side...Or not.

..

A young boy whose age one could guess after some examining 16, could been seen bickering in a store with a trader who is an old man.

Though the man is old, the way he counteracted Archie's price for the catalyst made one think he was still in his fourties but he was actually almost 80 years of age.

Spittle flying everywhere from the old man's mouth but Archie didn't care about it.

He was determined to get this catalyst to assist him in digesting the blood fragment into his body.

Blood orbs are created 10 minutes after the death of a foreign beast.

The power contained within the beast would then coagulate to form a bloody orb which has a jelly like feel to it.

In the past, some people desperately tried consuming the blood orbs directly into their bodies only to explode due to too much energy introduced to the body from the bloody orb.

Scientists from every parts of the world gathered together to determine the identity of the bloody orb and it's uses.

Discovering the vast amount of energy contained within, they brainstormed, searching for ways for make good use of the bloody orb.

Finally, they pulled through and created the serum called the CATALYST.

They also discovered that a mysterious element in the atmosphere causes a type of chemical reaction making every ounce of energy in the foreign lifeforms body coagulate to form the bloody orb containing berserk energy.

Precise calculation states that the bloody orb has the power to raze everything in its path and its range is 10 meters. Twice the power of a hand grenade used by the military soldiers.

The job of the catalyst is to compress, calm and confine the power of the orb preventing it from ever leaking out through a series of complex and precise calculations causing a controlled chain reaction forming a type of membrane confining the rogue energies within.

Though constricted by the reaction from the catalyst, the energy in the bloody orb would still breakout from its confinement but in tiny amounts. Leaking straight into the body and sinking straight into the blood stream of the human.

But instead of exploding from the berserk energy, the human would gain a steady increase in strength, agility, dexterity, physique, etc. Breaking through the limits of the human body making one seem superhuman Till the energy within the orb is exhausted.

Some take decades digesting the energy, some take years digesting it while the top geniuses in different institutions might actually use just a couple of months digesting the energy.

Well, they've got the legendary rare Genetic map which contains secrets about the human body in which helps them locate what techniques to use in different situations to help absorb the energies within their bodies a lot faster.

...

Meanwhile, Archie was getting increasingly frustrated by the old trader or scammer like he'd like to say straight into his face but he really needed the catalyst to turn his life around, to show his friends and family, it wasn't necessary a dream for him to become a really powerful phaser.

"But it was just yesterday I asked the cost of the catalyst from you and you told me it was only 100 geno points that was just yesterday so how the h*ll did it increase from 100 Geno points to 170 geno points today?!! That's a whole 70 geno points difference where do I get that kind of money from?? How did the price even get higher in just one day??"

Archie shouted out loud at the old trader frustratingly.

Originally, he had no hopes of ever becoming a Phaser in his life four years ago but he accidentally, coincidentally or by arrangements obtained a fragment piece of a blood orb through a series of coincidence and luck making up for the years of bad lucks he had had throughout the years.

He wasn't even clear on how he got it but that didn't stop him though.

He worked himself tirelessly day and night for 3 whole years. Saving up his points to purchase the catalyst because without a catalyst to absorb the bloody orb, he would either explode due to his energyoverload or maybe turn into a puddle of blood owing to the fact that his DNA sequence couldn't accept the changes given to it causing his organs, bones flesh to collapse turning into a large pile of blood.

Even though what he had was just a fragment of a blood orb, if he consumes it, its still enough for him to die over and over again even if he has 10 lives, he would still die, painlessly though.

He had spent three years saving up exactly 105 Geno points. He had long since calculated how he was going to make use of it.

First, he would buy the catalyst which would contain and compress the power inside the blood orb, making it easier for his body to absorb the energy within it, increasing either his strength, his agility, dexterity, physique, etc.

Some incredibly rare bloody orb increases mental faculties. Making it incredibly simple to make complex calculation using the brain alone. Since it was incredibly rare, Archie couldn't even be bothered placing his hopes on the bloody orb increasing his mental faculties, he ignored it directly.

After ingesting the bloody orb fragment, he would submit an application form to join any League willing to accept him. Since the requirements for joining a league is to have ingested a bloody orb. If one could pass the test given to them, One would be accepted regardless of their talents, gaining access to different techniques, resources and the precious knowledgeable information to be gained.

Thinking up to here, Archie was about to continue negotiating with the man when...

"Get out of the way!"

An awfully rude but flat voice sounded out from behind him.

Arch was already frustrated with the old man. it didn't get any better and now some idiot thinks he would just move out if the way just because he said so??

Archie thought angrily in his heart before completely ignoring the person.

He was about to keep on bickering with the old trader but before he started, the old man cut him off.

"Look kiddo, I will tell you the truth. The young man behind you already paid half the amount of the catalyst which he priced at 100 Geno points, he went back to get the rest of the payments which is 200 Geno points altogether.

Honestly, I was willing to give it to you for just 170 Geno points assuming you had that kind of money on you since you've been pestering for the past 3 years but you obviously can't.

The old man sighed while gazing at arch with pity.

The old trader pushed some type of secret typing signs on his thigh which pulled open a secret compartment from his hips.

Taking out the bottle of purple liquid from the compartment, he raised his head up, smiling skillfully at the young man as he was making his way forward, ignoring arch's dumbfounded expression.

"Transfer the rest of the payments then the bottle is yours." The old trader said with a hint of shrewdness in his tone.

"Now you see?" she shouted in a mix of annoyance and disappointment. "You can't outsmart Scrients! They're the most intelligent beings across the two realms." "You're right," I muttered, averting my gaze with a heavy sigh. "I made a mistake. I was too arrogant to think that a mere human like me could fool them." —BOOM!! "Heik! Wh-What was that?" "Hmm? I'm not sure. Maybe you should go and ask the most intelligent beings across the two realms. Oh wait, you can't. I killed them all.” ______ My name is Samael Kaizer Theosbane. On the last day of high school, I got into a fight with a kid I used to bully. It was a stupid, pointless scuffle, and in the middle of it, I tripped and hit my head on a rock. That’s when the memories came flooding in - the memories of another life, of a different world. Suddenly, everything made a twisted kind of sense. I realized two things. First, I was in a game I used to play in my past life. Second, I was a villain. A villain! Not the cool and mysterious kind, either. No, my destiny was to be manipulated and die a dog's death! I was the worst type of cliché: an ungrateful, privileged, insufferable young master. The sort you'd find in those poorly written fantasy stories. The kind everyone hates — a snobby brat from a powerful noble family who thinks he owns the world just because he was born with a silver spoon lodged in his mouth. You know the type. The one the hero beats to a pulp to prove his worth. Yeah, I was that guy. And the hero? The hero was the kid I’d been bullying all this time. The same one I got into a fight with. He was the supposed savior of this damned world. A world teetering on the edge of destruction, beset by wars, calamities, and a grim future that only I knew. And at the end of it all, the final antagonist of the game, the undefeatable boss… the Spirit King, was waiting. But could I even make it to the end? Could I conquer a game where defeat was the only certainty? A game that was now my reality! “Ah, fuck it.” I had no idea if I could, but I sure as hell was going to try. Extorting extras, manipulating main characters, twisting the story to my advantage, stealing the hero’s cheat items, killing villains before they could become threats - nothing was beneath me. Would the main characters be affected? Who cares! Would the story change? Even better! All I cared about was me—my survival, my life, my choices. “I will live this life with no regrets.” …But as I soon discovered, fate was not easily changed. And the price of altering one's destiny was steep.

Disclaimer: I'd received a few complaints from some readers that my MC is not a real villain, and I have to agree; if you're looking for some complete psycho MC who burns random farmer villages down just for fun then don't read. The MC is a ruthless man who does evil things from time to time, but only to his enemies or those he considers to be true scum. He gains no joy from tormenting strangers. Also don't read if you want a story about buying s*x slaves and r*ping them, that doesn't happen in this novel. He will treat the women he wants to be with as if they were normal people, whether they're slaves or not.
