12 Chapter 1️⃣2️⃣ - Mission (3)

After bumping into some people I'll roam down the alleyway.

'I did notice a faint of curse energy near the middle of the alleyway'

Getting my phone from my sleeve I scroll through my contacts & call Momo.

*Ring

"Did you notice anything?" Momo questioned

"Yeah In the middle of the alleyway there was a faint of curse energy. I look at where the curse energy was & I saw a door to the left of the alleyway where there was a one-way in. I don't believe we dealing with a curse." I said to Momo.

"I'll call the auxiliary director to tell him the information. Stay there until we get permission from Principal Gakuganji." Momo said hanging up.

A few minutes later I get a call.

*Ring

"Hello, What did Principal Gakuganji say?" I asked

"He said proceed with caution. The backup will be there if needed." The auxiliary director said.

"Thank you?..." I questioned

"Nakagawa. My name is Nakagawa" He says

"Thank you, Nakagawa." I said hanging up.

After that I called Momo back.

"Nishimiya, Nakagawa informed me that Principal Gakuganji said to proceed but with caution." I declared

"Ok. Umm...who is Nakagawa?" She asked

"It's the Auxiliary manager's name. Since the people will be hindering me I will be on the rooftops. I'll meet you in the middle of the alleyway." I said hanging up.

On the roof I started sprinting leaping through the gaps in the buildings. After doing some parkour I reach the middle of the alleyway & seen Momo with her broom.

"I'll approach the door concealing my curse energy. You go up top & be my eyes suppress your curse energy."

Nodding she goes up in the air.

Walking to the door slowly I opened it a little to see what was inside & noticed a sorcerer.

'Don't look like a sorcerer from jujutsu high. Must be a curse user'

Outta nowhere the Sorcerer kicks the door. Pushing me back from the force.

'I suppressed my cursed energy? How did he spot me?'

"It took them this long & all they send is a couple of brats after me. They must want me to continue killing." He declared looking up & catching sight of Momo on her broom.

The curse user was wearing a business suit with a brown overcoat.

'To be able to sense me & Momo….He must be a grade 2 or above'

"Jujutsu sorcerers are occupied. Don't worry we are more than enough to take care of you." I said rubbing the back of my neck.

Sidestepping Momo came flying down swinging her broom launching a strong gust of curse energy wind toward the sorcerer. This attack pushes him back into the wall so far that he broke the wall of the building pushing him inside.

Taking this opportunity I began to retreat.

'We don't know his innate technique or even if he has a cursed item. The best option is to retreat'

Sensing his curse energy fluctuation I took out my Sai.

'His curse energy is around semi-grade 1. He's strong'

- Flashback

"We should have like a cue or something for you to attack." I said

Talking back & forth about ideas. I finally thought of one.

"How about this when I rub the back of my neck you attack. Like as soon as I rub the back of my neck you attack." I said

"What about you?" Momo questioned

"I should have enough time to dodge as you have to come down from the sky right?"

- Flashback over

Running I started bumping into people.

"Sorry."

"I apologize."

'Tch I need to go up on the roof'

Using curse energy on my legs I jump onto the roof of the small apartments.

Taking my phone from my sleeve I contacted Momo.

*Ring

"Nishimiya I need you to make a curtain. When I'll call your phone just come & create a curtain. You won't need to answer it." I said hanging up before she could respond.

Outta nowhere my sleeve gets hit creating a hole.

'What?' Looking at the ground I see an Icicle but it wasn't melting.

Turning around I see the curse user with Icicle's circling his palm.

'Is his curse technique Water manipulation? If so I'm fuck'

The curse user waved his hands as a barrage of icicles moved toward me.

I swerve some Icicles as the other Icicles broke with my Sai one by one.

As I look forward the curse user wasn't there.

'Tch the Icicles was blocking my sight'

Dodging a little too late I get cut by an Icicle that the sorcerer was holding in his hand.

Seeing as his arm was still out from his attack, I hook his arm with my middle prong.

Now that I got his right arm stuck I move it down to the ground with my right hand. With my left hand I'll go to slash his neck but he evades it.

Shifting his left hand up I felt my right foot get stabbed. As soon as my foot got hit I kick him with the same foot in his face but he blocked it before my attack could hit.

Due to the icicle in my foot one of his arms got impaled. My kick forces him back providing us space.

Seeing as my foot was bleeding I halt it from bleeding any further.

'I need to end this quickly' I thought

"I should explain my technique." He said taking the icicle out of his arm.

"Well, I can generate & launch icicles with a wave of my hands. It's called Icicle Generation pretty boring name. It's not a powerful technique but useful." He said bringing his hands up. "Your strong brat I can tell stop holding out of me."

'Showing one hand a binding vow. I need to get serious & use my technique. He has experience as a sorcerer.'

"You're the person who killed Twenty-one people. Why?" I requested

"Because they are weak & because it's fun. Looking at their face before they die provides me enjoyment. But now it's about to be Twenty - three people." He said as he released his bloodlust. "You & that little girl I will kill. Just to send a little warning to jujutsu high that I'm not a sorcerer who a bunch of brats can take care of." The sorcerer answered.

"I see." Getting my phone from my sleeve I called Momo. Before it rings a second time an icicle goes through my phone.

"Calling for backup? Not going to happen." The sorcerer said

'Flowing red scale' an X pattern over my right eye appear opening my eye fully.

'Tch I just got that phone with my paycheck a month ago'

Momo appears hovering near me.

"Emerge from darkness, blacker than darkness. Purify that which is impure." She chanted.

'Good a curtain is up. The civilians are unaware of what's happening meaning I can stop holding back. Plus the curse user can't leave this barrier after all the three of us are trapped within' I thought as darkness oozed from a specific point in the sky & stretching out into a dome structure.
