Chapter 7: State your Wish

The next morning before the sun rise in the morning, he was inside the temple dungeon with the katana in his hand. He was teleported to some other region of the forest this time. Every time, he would be teleported into the temple, he would find himself in a new place. He was ready to go on a slaughter spree till he completed his first evolution to Newborn. He checked the basis.

Basis: 114

He started walking straight inside the dungeon without thinking about the dangers there were. His confidence on himself had increase tremendously. He was sure that the giant's heart would heal the injury and he could leave the dungeon at the instant he wanted.

Aser was searching for monsters to start killing and gathering basis. He saw a big cat; it was the size of a earth Boar. He didn't go and attack the cat. He quickly hides himself and observes the cat to know what it was up to.

The cat smelled in the woods, it was searching for something. Aser watched it with interest. He wanted to know as he was watching for quite some time now. It was roaming around the same place and digging at random places. A few second later; it quickly jumped on the spot and stated burrowing, Aser was interested to know what was in it. The white cat was dedicatedly burrowing the land. 

A rat just jumped from the burrow and on to the cat's faced and ran away. Aser understood the cat was hunting down its prey. The cat didn't run behind the rat rather it kept on burrowing the land. As if there was something more inside it. The cat was continuously burrowing the ground and till now, it had created a big hole in the ground.

Aser heard a sound; it was coming from the ground. The next second, he felt sounds coming from the surrounding. He was not the only one who could hear the sounds. The cat stood there for a second, again it started burrowing. The cat was testing his patience. He wanted to go and kill it in a single strike.

The sounds became more clear and louder.

Chimp..Chimp.Chim.

It was the f*cking army of Rats. They were white rats and they were coming closer towards them. He thought about running but there was no place to hide. The rat was coming from every direction. His inner man could not just run away from rats, Seney would laugh on him.

He noticed at the same time, the cat stopped burrowing and quickly picked up something from the burrow it made. There were rat babies. The cat took as many as if could grab in its mouth and run, the cat released thunder and run at the speed of light. Aser was rethinking to hunt down the cat. It was too fast for him. He will not be able to catch it. But the rats went behind it to get their young ones back. Even those rats were incredible fast.

A few of the brave rats had run behind the cat but many stayed behind. There still thousands of rats n front of him.

The rats were growling towards him, he quickly removed his sword and started slashing them. But they were too agile than him. The rats didn't have any strength. But they were too fast. He could hardly match their speed. Since, the rats were not able to hurt the person with their strength; many of the rats started to bite Aser. The bites were small and didn't hurt much; he was waiting for the venom to work on them.

It was a matter of fact, he stood there peacefully and let the rats scratch and bite him. He was getting the notifications of killing the rats. Each one of them was a evolver level creature. That's was the reason why, He couldn't match their deadly speed. He could not even touch them.

Aser was getting notification one after another. He ignored it and focused on absorbing as much basis as possible. There was no notification coming when he was absorbing the basis. He was getting bitten by the rats and also was busy absorbing the basis.

He would feel a few tingling sensations on is skin. It was totally worth. Soon, Aser lost the count of number basis he had absorbed till now. He kept on absorbing till he could get his evolution to newborn.

He sat down and let the rat bite him properly and let them die from his venomous blood. Aser was quiet happy that his sub race attribute was useful to him. He knew that he was stronger than normal humans and also his blood was one of his most power weapons that he had.

He checked his basis.

Basis: 845

Aser just realized that he had absorbed a lot of basis but there was no change in his body. He still feared he would be stuck in this body for ever. If he would rate himself, he would match a late evolver in terms of his strength. But he was not sure if he could defeat a sacred beast or not.

Aser looked at himself; he was completely covered in rats. He was waiting when he could get the message that he was going to go into evolution and he would leave the dungeon quickly.

He saw little big rat coming. Most of the rats were the size of a big eath size rats but this one was a little bigger. It was the size of an earth cat. He let it come by and try its luck. Aser trusted his venom because it could kill a giant, what was a rat in front of a giant.

'haa'

The rat bite hurt a lot and he quickly pushed away the big rat from his body. It had big teeth. He saw a notification.

Aser got a skill!!

He couldn't wait to try it. It was his first sacred level skill that he gained without doing anything. He could not wait to try it. he already understood it was about speed. He was about the get their godly speed and be invisible and vanish when a undefeatable enemy shows up.

The next moment, he go the notification he was waiting for.

Aser shouted "Leave"

He appeared on the temple craving.

[Evolution process begins.]

Aser saw his clothes were torn due to the fight with the rats, he had cuts throughout his clothes. He needed to get new pair of clothes. He wondered how he was going to go back home wearing his clothes. Even his underwear was torn. He felt good, that the rats didn't bite him over there.

Aser was lying down on the underground temple his evolution could start at any second right now. He checked his basis just to know at what number he was going to get his evolution next time.

Basis: 1000

'Oh, Shit'

Aser understood the fact that for the next evolution he needed 1000 basis. It was still fine but for the next one again 1000 basis. He knew how tough it becomes after being an Evolver level hunter. His grandfather had told him many times, sacred hunters were the once that took the longest time because the monsters had their own specialization in few attributes and were extremely difficult until you have tyrant hunter in your team. After the sacred level, when one becomes the tyrant….

He felt his inner organs getting swore and heart was pumping slowly as if he was going in hibernation. He had a tinkling sensation all around his body. He tried to pull himself up. But he was not able to. He felt his muscles were swelling up, he was getting bulged for some reason. He spat a mouthful of blood on the floor of the temple dungeon. His muscles were crumbling and his bones were growing thicker. All his veins in his body were turning green and it was visible on his skin. He didn't have such a terrific evolution last time when he evolved from a human to a newborn. But this was far worst.

He spat another mouthful of blood on the carvings of the floor.

He was completely bank, his surroundings were dizzy.

The carvings on the floor quickly lighted up, Aser saw it but he was not in his conscious to do anything.

The young man was lying on the enlighten carving of the underground temple. It was a few meters under the ground but sun light could enter the temple from different parts of the place. It was an ancient temple in the middle nowhere and soon about to get collapse.

It was covered in the bushes and vines; even if one past by. They won't be able to notice it. The temple was different than temples. In the place of the status or picture of the god, there was just a stone rose. The temple was more ruins as everything had corroded with time. Its charm and its structure had crumbled into pieces. Anyone could tell in a glance, it was an ancient temple god made by some ancient civilization generations ago. Now, no one remembered the god or the temple anymore.

Hours later, Aser woke up. He saw that something was still glowing up below him. There was a small notification on his screen.

[State your wish]

Aser recalled something about the sacrifice. He quickly stepped out of the carvings, just to make sure he is not the sacrifice. He could only see his blood spilt on the carvings, he wondered if it was the sacrifice.

"Give me power" Aser stated.

The next second, the mouthful of blood which was on the carving on the floor visible to everyone had disappeared. The temple started glowing in light; the ruins were getting to restore it. The temple shone in some divine light which was coming from the statue of the rose. Aser was mesmerized seeing such a view in front of him.

Aser was shocked to get a title just like that, he was not sure if he was going to get anything in return or not. Honestly, he didn't even care about it. The rats had eaten more blood than he had sacrificed to the temple unknowingly.

He was checking his body, he felt muscular and strong. He wanted to step inside the carving and go inside the dungeon and check his new strength. But his intuition was telling him to wait.

He was looking at the rose in the center back of the temple. He was wondering what it was. He thought the temple to be a gate to the dungeon and nothing more to that. But there was a lot to know and learn about temples what was significance and why were they in the first place. He deeply interested in knowing about the temple.

He stepped in the carving to go to the dungeon but nothing happened. He felt like the carving will continue to work after the wish was granted.

Should he come back tomorrow?

The next moment the temple glowed again, he saw a small green stick of a rose appearing out of nowhere. There were small thorns on it, but there was no rose on it. He was curious what he should do with the stick. It was too small for a weapon.

The rose stick was floating in the air above the carving of the temple. He raised his hand touched it. The moment, he touched the rose stick. The rose stick quickly rotated around his middle finger forming a ring type of structure. He was looking at it. It was tight on his hands. After a few seconds, the ring stopped moving and it became stationary again.

[Sacred level Skill: Rose gained]

He got another sacred skill without doing anything. He wondered what it could do. It was a not a rose but a ring made of rose stick.

He was about to check the ring but before he could do that. The ring shines and his whole body disappeared in the air.
