Vibrant Little Angel

As the sunless sun gradually rolled down and the Sunday night neared closer and nearer, dark-heavy clouds fashioned with periodically striking purple lightning flashes within their embodies soared lowly all over Anyway city. Relatively, the big, noisy, busy city was becoming less busier than it had been some moments back.

A Strong whistling current of air blew throughout the city without a single direction in mind, carrying within itself weightlessly flying objects and haphazardly disorienting small free fall of water that soon started making wet dots all around. Random pedestrians that were in open places had to double up their pace as the word "HoMe!" reigned in their minds.

In the midst of the approaching heavy rain, Maximus and Evelyn — their hands intertwined — walked in between the crowd of people, also making their way out of Happy Panda Amusement park.

Just like Evelyn, so many color paints were over the young man's face that made him look disoriented and funny, therefore hiding his grumpy expression.

Amusement park was never his place of pleasure but due to little Evelyn, here he was about to be beaten by a raging rain on a Sunday dawn. But then, Evelyn meant everything to him and to say no to her inquiries was one of his greatest weaknesses.

On making their way out of the park, she slowly removed her hand out of his own, as if she was in a daze, her eyes locked on the panda toy she had been seeing on a TV promo for long ago.

Maximus had to stop walking, not feeling the warmth of her little hand. "Are you alright?" his calm voice asked the five year old girl with frizzy maroon hair who didn't reply to him.

Squatting beside her after a while, seeing her frozen like a statue made him guess what the problem was, so he traced his sight down to where she was staring at.

'Damn my goodness,' Max thought with fright. 'this is a wrong timing, somebody should help me.'

"Big bro are you seeing what I am seeing! This big panda has to come along with us back home." Evelyn declared with firm finality, her eyes still locked on the toy, her finger pointing straight at it — She looked like someone who just found her soulmate.

A bright blue-purple light zipped down through the sky in the shape of cobwebs.

The powerful sound following that act of nature made everyone within the park double up more in order to leave as fast as they could, meanwhile Max was getting stuck in it more and more.

"Look my little angel, ah promise to get ya something better than that but for now, we need t'go as ya can see everyone's leaving." Max held Evelyn's shoulders to turn her about and to look into her twinkling eyes. "Not those eyes. The rain'll pour anytime soon... Ya don't want t'get wet, right?" he tried to explain in an understand-me voice.

Shaking her head in disapproval, "I loved this big panda for my entire life. I can feel that it will need me tomorrow, or some day. Its eyes look lonely, big bro." Evelyn retorted, her expression saying "We get it or I cry!" as she pressed her teeth together.

"Wow my little angel, then we must get it with us." Max smiled, he was defeated. "Stop pressuring your teeth harder." He pinched her small nose.

After reaching the mini sized Balloon Busters homing several toys — Evelyn having tried shooting the last yellow balloon many times but missing to burst it nonetheless, who was now on the verge of screaming in fury — the joker inside the shop kept grinning at Max for no reason.

"What're y'looking at?" Max addressed the joker in a dead tone of voice, his Vampiric side urging him to smash the mocking grin into blood that he could delightfully suck to dryness using his fangs. Of all places, he was stuck in an amusement park, it was drizzling, and someone was grinning at him for no reason in a shooting gallery.

Shrugging, "Big girls always have no issues with getting wet, I see. Why don't you win it for her, brother funny face?" the joker blurted, his grin widening from ear to ear. "I need to close in a haste for a while." he added with a giggle that sounded creepy, causing Max to wonder what was funny in his statements while looking at him picking one of the pop guns.

Making a deep sigh, Max received the pop gun from the joker, gesturing for Evelyn to hold on from attempting bursting the thing. "Ah never liked jokers but ah like ya idea." He pointed the gun at the extremely yellow small balloon as he activated his black and white Spider Vision to narrow his view. "Ah feel like one day, their jokes would mean the end of humanity."

Pap!

And then Evelyn screamed at the top of her lungs, meanwhile the joker hurriedly untied the hanging panda. "The big thing is all yours sweetheart." He gave it to Evelyn instead of giving it to the real winner.

"Why is the present very big?" Max questioned absentmindedly in helping Evelyn receive the toy that was as tall as herself.

"Only big things can satisfy big girls that have no issues with getting wet." The joker replied, already closing for some while. Max had to glare at him because he knew what his words really meant.

"My little angel, we should move far away from this place."

Leaving the joker on his own, the duo tried to squeeze their way out of the park in between the crowd of people; and the crowd was so thick that despite the fact Max was doing his best to hold onto Evelyn's wrist in a way that she would not be injured, he had to let go or else he might easily break it. As a Vampire, he was always cautious of his superhuman strength when dealing with the girl.

Evelyn could feel his hand slipping away. "Big bro, hold on tightly!" Her hand slipped out and she couldn't stop walking as people kept pushing her from behind, now hugging her panda quite tightly as she moved not nearly out of the park.

"Evelyn! Just move straight and it'll be fine. Let's meet ahead!" She heard Max's last statement and therefore, she walked to the right.

By the time the two of them were out of the crowd, but in separate directions, they started searching around to see if they could spot one another. The number of people passing was making things worse and worse.

Max slightly used his Vampire speed to move back into the crowd after some trials of calling her name, all frightened thinking that the small girl was having herself matched by the people rushing out. He tried to distinguish her scent as he moved which proved futile due to the number of different scents from different people mixing up together.

'Please Evelyn, no Evelyn.'

'No, no, no.'

Another thunderous lightning flashed down through the sky for the drizzle to get faster.

"Are you lost, vibrant cutie?" A female officer that saw Evelyn's worried face had to ask. Evelyn was a smart girl not to talk to strangers but seeing the woman's official uniform, she quickly responded back with squinted eyes: "I'm looking for big bro. Did you see him?"

Smiling in amusement, "Nope, didn't seeh any big broh." the woman scratched her supernaturally white hair. "Does he has a vehicle?" Her eyes rapidly flashed red. "I mean where did he park his car if he has any?"

"I know big bro's car but I don't exactly know where he parked it."

The woman pouted artificially. "I can take you there if you would gift me your big pandah." She laughed at Evelyn for freezing because of her words. "Just playing, come ohn, I'm naht tahking your pandah, let us go find your brotherh's car." She then guided the girl by the arm towards the parking space.

The rain began getting serious that forced people out there to literally run to their cars and shades; it was definitely a weird weather swing because normally, it doesn't rain in Anyway City by this month. For that reason, the woman guiding Evelyn had to carry her in her arms and run by the guidance of the small girl within the cars in the parking space.

Shouting, "This is the car!", Evelyn pointed at a black, expensive, mysterious-energy radiating black sports car that defined Max's financial status.

The woman carrying her in her arms ran through the blowing wind in silence without any hesitation — Strange enough that her eyes were not blinking even with the amount of dust they were receiving.

She simply opened the car and kept Evelyn inside. "You shouldn't panic and stay inside qui..."

"How did you open the car?" Evelyn interrupted the woman before she brushed away her wet maroon hair from her right eye.

"It is a long story. Say hello to your new brother when you are there." The woman shut the door close;

And the black car standing under the dark, heavy rain was soon ignited by someone who was actually not Maximus.
