Responsible Weapon

"I lured Aximus to Warriors so as to stop him from, urgh, forget it. Why does he have to make me evil? Tsk... How can I keep some of the Gifteds from one another... Such as Evelyn and Aximus? Are they intentionally clinging to blur my clarity about His Majesty."

Natural silence established itself with that question being said because Nobody really didn't know its answer. The Gifteds were in thousands and keeping them apart from one another sounds more like a story tale.

In some minutes time, Penelope's growing smile could had darkened the orange light litting the place. It was such a dark smile. She looked up and asked Nobody: "When is the mating ceremony going hold?" She chuckled mildly with that said, weaving some devious plans in her brain.

Nobody hesitated for a while, then he said with a chuckle, "Hazel Bhojadev's?" He laughed afterwards before adding, "The more you age the more insane you become. I know why you are asking." In his voice was a slight, friendly mockery.

"Last night, I had to go and find something treasurable from the Dragon Descendants, there far away from Anyway city." A blue bottle was summoned by the old woman, bobbing in air before she gently caught it. "I am going to make Aximus a blind decisions maker and whosoever comes close to him, because he is too smart to be easily lured to a prison..."

"Prisoning him is a smart way to keep the two Gifteds apart." Nobody finished her statement with amusement. "But why not keep them away by brute force? Why taint his decision making using this blue... blue thing?"

And she nodded with a smile. "You have asked me the most ridiculous question you ever asked." Opening the bottle with a "bob" sound, a blue smoke freely rose out through its cracked rim. Penelope simply turned and glared at the only creepy door behind her, then, the blue smoke lively moved towards the same door.

Smoking its way through mini old cracks, it passed through it entirely. It silently navigated in the air with a wild sense, searching for its victim. And then, it saw Max silently swirling a red drink he was thinking of taking at the empty bar. In a flash of a second, the blue smoke silently sped and struck Max through his back, which he never knew had ever happened.

Max had been seeing this same alert right before his eyes now for almost an hour. Nobody could provide him with assistance — Penelope earlier explained — by allowing him to select any weapon that would pair with his Vampire System in this room which was full of wide-ranging weapons.

He needed this in order to fill in the blanks before he began his rescue/search mission.

Vampires were generally considered to be the best in the aspect of technological advancements and in terms of having systems that could be used with System Based weapons, Melanin, and so many more.

They had become very advanced.

Weapons and the rest were things that Max still had too little idea about but still to say, he knew that System Based Weapons were most useful to Vampires only, and any weapon could be a System Based one, depending on its origin.

When the system accepts to pair with the weapon, the weapon would belong paired with the wielder's system even after death, only to be unpaired when the weapon has been damaged beyond repair — something Max still didn't know.

He saw a trenchant mask on one of the tables that caught his eyes, his face brimful of lack of humor. It was a midnight black mask with red trim designs on the side. The eye covers were ok in shape and whitish in show. He walked over to it and when he touched it, he felt a feeling interchangeable with... love, probably due to the eloquence of its appearance in proximity, and its size fitting perfectly into his palm.

'I can see my adventures with you on my face, baby, only if we can pair.'

He allowed the system to scan the mask.

'Damned fuck's sake? Finally! Something wanna pair up!' Max shouted out inwardly. He wanted to shout out loudly that he had eventually found a weapon to pair with but unluckily for him, Penelope was somewhere "hiding" in the weapons room, so he sealed his delight in his heart, smiled as he examined the weapon.

As Max pasted his eyes to the black mask, he rubbed his hair. "Penelope, a' think am only so lucky t'find this tiny object," he said. He brushed his hair again while revealing a wry smile on his lips. After all the searching and naturally built efforts to find something worthwhile, he ended up

'Nevermind.'

Out of the blue, Penelope stood beside the Vampire boy. She snatched away the weapon and observed it close to her eyes. "How many fibers does it have?"

Slightly dismayed, "Only one." Max responded, ensuring that he didn't tell Penelope about the weapon bearing a hidden Character Ability. Indeed, she had taught him little about weapons and the virtually usual weapons used by Vampires in combat. And he'd really have loved to hear about what hidden Character Abilities were but he remained silent even though he trusted her to the lip. It was not all about him she should know, he believed.

"Nobody, what do you think?" Penelope asked without caring to ask about the weapon's Character Ability or if it has a Hidden Character Ability. Max found that to be very odd but nevertheless, he shrugged off the feeling; To him, oddness could be the name the old woman bore in a parallel universe.

"Pair up with it, young man," said Nobody. "I guess out of the entire weapons in this grand place, there are only a few that you didn't check on. Most of them refuse to pair with you. And, by the way, it suits your skin tone."

Max's face twisted. Skin tone?

"Trust in Nobody's taste for weapons and think of the word pair." said Penelope.

'Alright. Pair.'

[You have successfully paired up with the weapon 'Void Emotion' for the rest of your life.]
