What an unreal moment;
What an awaited moment;
What an emotional moment;
'Evelyn? Is that Evelyn?'
Shocked as hell, the Max in the Valley of the Dead slowly stood up from the ground;
'Spider Vision? Is this a joke?'
Frozen as ice, the other Max in the high school dark corridor had his silent brain covered in a thick fog of emotional turmoil;
Unconsciously but happily, a smile was weaved on Max's both lips as tears of victory accumulated in his already teary brown eyes. The useless world around him faded from existence and all important that remained was his lonely self, and his little angel, and the images in his mind.
Coming to Royalty Pack, encountering Robert, accidentally clashing with Gold, journey to the Royal Castle, jumping into an endlessly black hole, deaths of the thirty Blue Forces, becoming a Wild Vampire, killing an innocent human... they were all worth it.
This moment alone... deserved it all;
This moment alone... deserved each and everything he did to be redone if time was to reverse itself.
As Max's emotions were busying his already emotional brain, his rational thinking was already doing its rational job:
'Seeing Evelyn right now...'
Instinctively without any voluntary command, Max's Spider Vision moved in an amazing speed.
'...just this moment defines to me what it means to achieve a goal...'
Instead of properly inspecting how was Evelyn doing, the unique vision snapped backwards and out of the room he saw the girl.
'...After countless of sacrifices, to see someone I silently acknowledged has died a long time ago coming back to me alive...'
Since his Void Emotion was still cooling down, seeing the only door which was standing on his way, Max put everything he got of Spider Vision into focus.
'...She is all intact...'
The black and white vision moved like a wild snake in every horizontal direction. It searched and looked, and investigated, and learned, and moved, and moved as fast as possible.
"...She is all in flesh and alive!''
The vision had seen everything it needed to see, and at that moment, Max snapped out of his thoughts enamour. His two eyes were red, not glowing but literally red due to the emotional spider-webs-like blood vessels there that could be found.
Gliding to his right like a blur, Max powerfully punched his right fist through one of the red lockers. Plugging his hand out of it, he deactivated Spider Vision and suddenly seemed like he vanished due to his pure Diurnal Vampiric speed.

Having the map of the place and the the location of all the Vampire Slaves engraved in his brain, Max started zipping through the air as if he was attempting to tear it apart. As he moved like an invisible blade:
He entered a big room that resembled an old class room. Everything here was disheveled, and broken, and rotten. And the air was depressed, and saddened, and standing. And the old black board he saw had the words "Help me!" scratched on it;
He entered an empty, eerie glass-green room and passed it with an amazing speed. The floor had old bones all about, and it was rottening by dessicating dead bodies;
He entered another room, this one with a big door stopping his speed assault. Currently amongst the obstacles stopping him from carrying Evelyn back to Anyway city was a machine based locked door, so he suddenly appeared standing in front of it;
He entered the password locking the door by placing the card on a greeny square screen — the same card he earlier picked up from the locker he broke by plunging his powerful Vampire fist. He could have used Void Emotion to pass through the door but it was still cooling down;
He entered, he entered the room with big cages of the stone ceiling height, his joyful eyes settling on his little angel that was peacefully and unmovingly lying down in a big cage.

The same instant was the instance of the Vampire Slaves from the Valley of the Dead finally arriving. Unceremoniously, the four of them stepped down the teleporter, one and later on the others.
Having his hood covering the details of his face, the one amongst them with the most predatory presence swiftly did what he was commanded to do by Lucas. His move was just too fast for any sort of reaction from the Disguised Gifted who was pretending to be a Vampire Slave.
Suddenly summoning a Blue Fibered System Based Weapon that resembled a typical sci-fic pistol gun, the Vampire Slave pointed it at the Disguise Gifted by his right hand. In the next second:
Paaa!
An unalerted head exploded and its now headless body fell backwards. Blood, brain matter, bones and the rest were all over the place. This was the end of the Blue Force sent by Robert whom was tasked with spying on the Vampire Slaves' activities. A very cold likewise a cruel end indeed.
As the cold killer was summoning back the weapon into his Vampire System, with the exception of Max, a message from Lucas reverberated into every Vampire Slave's mind:
«Your unwelcomed fellow Slave is visiting this place. Right now, everyone of you should go and test your weapons on him. Move your bodies to the children's store and do as you want with him.»
Without any protests, every Vampire Slave silently summoned any System Based Weapon that they had in possession before heading to where Max was to be found.

Unbeknownst to the message of Lucas, Max was here standing in darkness. "Evelyn." he whispered more to himself.
Not caring about the remaining four cages nor about the children in them, his legs moved on their own until what separated him from Evelyn was the rusty metal bars and the brighness of her cage. Not pondering meaninglessly, his hands moved on their own, grabbed random two bars and forced them apart.
Now it felt more real to him. Going on his knees and crawling closer to her sleeping body, as he was about to touch her, his both hands froze mid-air.
Evelyn had sharply turned her head in alert, her eyes widened in fear, her heart racing in her chest. She was scared, hell scared that her frightened expression squeezed out the familiar pain in Max's chest to now spread into every bone in his body.
Not scared anymore, "BIG BRO!" In the next second, Evelyn sat from lying and paused for a while. In the coming second, she was tightly hugging Max. His frozen hands still in the air.
'She is alive. She is alive.'
Max tightly hugged her small body back. "Shush... my Evelyn." He whispered as he severally deeply kissed her maroon hair. "Shush..."
Knowing that time was against him, Max didn't waste it hugging the girl. He suddenly but gently brought her to an arm distance and hastily examined her face.
"Are'ya hurt anywhere? Why're ya so scared?" He was struggling between breathing and speaking. "What... What happened? What did they do to ya!" His tears finally rolled down, and he hated it, he hated Evelyn to see his tears for the first time ever.
But he managed a smile. Evelyn and her panda toy were both covered in the Melanin he transfered to them. At least, that... that should do some little to protect her when he's gone, right?
"Big brother Max. Those people..." Evelyn looked to her right. "they kidnapped us! They are scary, they even killed the boy over there. His name is Sam. They killed Sam."
One of the sleeping children was awoken by Evelyn's voice.
Max turned his head to his left. Under a single lamp light, a small dead body in a cage was what he saw. Looking back at Evelyn, he examined her again to make sure she was all intact.
She was intact. In fact, she looked older than the time she got lost in Happy Panda amusement park. He was sure that it wasn't his eyes, his five year old Evelyn looked seven year old right now.
"I'm scared big bro, please let's go back home."

Seeing the notification, "I'm sorry," Max staggered. "Evelyn, we can't go right away. Look... listen, don't be scared alright? Don't be scared. Calm down and listen to what I have to tell ya."
Evelyn violently shook her head. "Pleaseeee let's go back home. I don't like it here." She began to cry harder like the small girl she was.
"Calm down, mah angel." Max hugged her again. "Ya're not a freaked baby that needs to calm down, remember ya told me so? I'll come and take ya home very soon."
"No, let's..."

'Oh fuck!'
"Just listen to me, don't ever resist what they want from ya, okay? Just do whatever they need from ya. Don't ever resist, and don't ya cry when am gone. That's not like my angel, ya're strong, ya just have to bare for a while and it's gonna be over, okay?"
Moving his determined eyes to look at Evelyn for the last time, the inevitable happened. . .
