Letting out a deep breath and wiping all the blood from my face, I glanced over my battlefield. The carcasses of the wolves littered all over, their blood seeping into the grass.

'Status.' I called out, curious about the gains of my battle.

"Wow," I whistled, raising my eyebrows at my new stats.

I had gained 30 levels of strength and dexterity from the previous fight, instantly multiplying it 3 times my original.

I clenched my fist in awe before glancing at a nearby tree.

With a shout, I threw my whole body weight into the punch, my fist instantly coming into contact with the trunk.

BANG!

A cloud of leaves and debris pounded my face as I retracted my arm and examined the damage I caused. I humungous dent centered the trunk of the tree. The hole double the size of my arm.

I could feel the corner of my mouth rising as I mentally screamed in joy.

Breathing in slowly and calming myself down, I looked back at the status screen and tapped the second most curious change that had appeared.

[Species:

Human: 100 (59.6%)

Demonic Wolf: 67.7(40.4%)]

'I'm almost half demonic wolf?' I frowned, looking at my body to see if there was any change, and not to my surprise, there really wasn't.

'Huh,' I shrugged, 'Guess I'll just figure that out later.'

"Now," I muttered, looking around, and finally decided to walk towards the direction which according to the sun seemed to be south, in hopes to find civilization.

—————

Wondering around for a couple of hours and only seeing trees left, right, and center, with no sight of any more of those 'Demonic Wolf' creatures and seeing the sun about to retreat below the horizon, I was ready to camp out the night and continue the journey in the morning, but as if the main character in a novel, the illumination of civilization peered over the distant shrubbery.

Keeping the idea of staying out the night to the back of my mind, I hurriedly made my way towards the glow, frantically cutting through thick branches and vines in hopes of arriving before dusk.

Before long I found myself stood a few distances away from a giant sturdy-looking 10m high man-made stone wall.

From where I stood, I could see the glimpse of smoke slightly peering over the giant wall, rising from chimneys of what seemed to be houses.

Snapping out of my daze, I made myself down from the thicket of the forest and towards the small gates located below.

"ID." A guard who stood beside the gate held out a hand in a robotic manner.

"Sorry, I seemed to have forgotten mine in my room," I bluffed, awkwardly pointing past the gate.

I could see the guard frown from beneath his helmet, his right hand tightening on his spear.

"20 Cels," His hand still held out,

"No money either," I shrugged, showing him my pockets.

"Then no entry,"

The guard held out his spear with a look of disgust and positioned himself to attack if I walked any closer.

"But, my ID's inside," I argued.

"No entry." He repeated.

I was in disbelief from the guy's stubbornness.

'How the hell did all those other protagonists make it in.' I scoffed, backing up and heading back into the forest to think of another idea.

For some reason, the concept of being surrounded by trees under a night sky felt rather refreshing.

It wasn't that I was afraid of attacking the guard, I was just that I had no tell on this world's strength. What if the average strength was over 100? I would be dead before I could even blink.

In a new world like this, I'll have to think and move carefully if I want to survive.

I took a deep breath of fresh air and brought out my sword again to begin slashing out a path once more.

By now, the sun had fully sunken past the horizon and a giant purple moon took its place slowly rising up from the east. Very quickly, I found a small cave from within the forest that seemed suitable for a temporary shelter. The interior was rather flat and empty. Exactly what I was looking for.

I glanced around for a large boulder size object. Something that was large enough to seal the entrance to keep both the wind and any passing monsters from coming in.

Eying a cluster of branches and leaves, I grabbed a whole bunch and began stacking them against the cave entrance until I could no longer feel the breeze of the cold wind, and finally being satisfied with the result, I took the remainder of the leaves and roughly made myself an area to sleep.

Laying down on the ground, I slowly closed my eyes and dozed off, the events of the entire day tiring me out.

From being tortured then speaking to a voice in a void, to being teleported to another world and almost being killed by wolves. The last thing I wanted to do now was to stay awake.
