Chapter 27: Memories(part 1)

On the way to the designated location, they encountered several zombies that suddenly appeared, all of which were precisely eliminated by Danny with a single shot.

Directly above the center of the circular clearing on the third-floor roof hung a small card suspended by a line. Both sides of the card featured devilish symbols and lines.

Did unlocking this level involve obtaining that card?

With no other option, they headed to the third floor, the closest point to the card, though it was still ten meters away.

Tammy discovered many plastic sticks at the base of the wall that could be assembled into a fishing rod, along with a fishing line. She said, "Brother, we should assemble these into a fishing rod, cast the fishing line over, entangle the card, and then pull it over."

Her guess was correct. The card required considerable force to be pulled over, making this level a test of strength.

However, Danny shook his head and said, "No need for all that."

Danny said, "I can directly get that card. Will you wait for me here, or do you want to come with me?"

Tammy guessed what he was thinking and pretended to be weak, saying, "I'll come with you. Otherwise, I'll be scared staying here alone."

Thus, Tammy held two submachine guns, and Danny embraced her waist with one hand, leaping towards the card hanging in mid-air, ten meters away.

With his other hand, Danny effortlessly grabbed the card and pulled it down. They began to descend slowly from the third-floor roof to the first-floor ground.

Although pulling the card in place was challenging, the combined weight of the two adults was just enough to bring it down.

Unexpectedly, the moment Danny pulled down the card, all the eerie music in the apocalyptic city ceased, and pleasant and melodious music started playing.

Meanwhile, the roof slowly opened from the center.

The line attached to the card was connected to a large string of brightly colored fluorescent balloons!

Like the colorful balloons in "Up," these balloons were not only vibrant but also fluorescent!

In the originally dim environment, these beautiful and dreamlike balloons, like colorful bubbles, were extraordinarily romantic. It felt as if they had suddenly entered a fairy world dotted with starlight!

The balloons descended slowly, and a gentle and melodious female voice echoed in the music:

"Wow!" Tammy raised her head in Danny's arms, gazing at the multitude of balloons above. Suddenly, everything in front of her seemed like a brilliantly colored dream, like glass candy wrappers.

Tammy's gaze shifted slowly from the fluorescent balloons in the air to Danny's eyes, sparkling like a galaxy.
