10 Chapter 29: Jealousy

After the battle started, Angus suddenly felt danger from behind and it was close.

He dodged the attack, it was a short spear and it flew pass him until it came into Ken's hand. He didn't know where the spear came from but he didn't have time to think as he used 100{K} enchant to attack Ken.

Spear was a range weapon and Ken was a spear user so Angus couldn't reach him in close range. Every time he got close, Ken used the short spear to force him back and with the other long spear in his hand to attack from distance.

Angus saw that this wasn't going to work so he tried to catch the spear handle but he felt danger from behind again and this time the sneak attack left a big wound behind his back after he barely dodged.

The sneak attack didn't stop as more short spears came from behind and his feet. The spears were "growing" from the ground and all aimed at him.

Ken didn't move because he needed to focus on controlling the spears and regenerated the spears that Angus broke. Angus was surrounded by more than 20 spears and he was in his release mode already but it wasn't enough to go against them.

"They are made from Ki, so a Ki shockwaves is the best chance to destroy them at the same time."

Angus heard his A.I advice and he thought a great way to do it. He enchanted his legs with Ki and jumped high into the sky then used 150{K} on both his hand.

Ken controlled his spears to the sky when he saw Angus jump. All the spears flew to Angus but when Angus's hands hit each other, it cause a Ki shockwave and destroyed all the spears. The moment all the spears destroyed, Angus used the Ki to boost him to Ken with great speed in the air.

Ken created a Ki wall in front him but Angus used 300{K} and broken the wall then he hit Ken with the same power. Ken was blew away but he didn't panic as he controlled 5 spears to attack under Angus.

2 out of 5 spears went through him while he destroyed other, they didn't damage any important organs but they were major injuries. Angus had went against cultivators but Ken was different, he was strong.

Ken stood up and controlled the spears that were on Angus's body. Angus felt a pulling force from the spears and he was pulled to Ken. He saw Ken summoned a chain and tried to restrain him.

Angus escaped from Ken before he could chained him. After that he and Ken exchanged move but Angus was in more disadvantages.

"That Ken guy is strong. Use your trump card"

"I was saving that for high rank officials but he is worth it"

"Great Change"

A new trump card developed before the tournament began. The new card he made was also from the Block, he knew it would be dangerous for him to changed his life code but he could endure the change for sometime before his value changed back to normal.

Great Change changed his eyesight, reaction, bones, body muscle. The moment he activated it, everything around him slowed down, he could even see the small dusts in the air and the slow spear attack from Ken. The bones inside him were now all connected like glue and he could now punch extremely fast without disconnecting his arms his shoulders. His muscles density increased to 250.

From the A.I reported, he could only last for 7 seconds. But 7 seconds was enough for him.

When Ken's spear attack almost reached, Angus side step away from the attack and it was like touching his clothes but it didn't do any damage. He used 200{K} and punched Ken 4 times within 2 second.

He then kicked him in the stomach then grabbed his arm and wrestled him down, those actions were in 4 seconds.

The moment Ken hit the floor, his trump card ended and it almost made Angus fainted because of exhaustion. Ken was totally knocked out.

From audiences view, Angus taken Ken down in a very short time and seem like effortlessly. After seeing Ken didn't stand up, the judge came and checked him. Knowing that Ken lose conscious, he announced Angus as the winner of this match.

Angus heard that he was the winner so the exhaustion hit him and he also fainted. The doctors came and took them to the pill house while the tournament went on.

When Angus was in his new mode, Leon and all his family except Tara saw how he changed and it shocked them as the change was huge and made him way stronger than they expected.

"Interesting" Leon's wife was interested in Angus's new mode.

*few hours later*

Angus was fully healed thanks to the doctors then he was sent back to his home.

"Perfect, can I increased the value?"

"If you increased the value, you will only stay in that mode for 2 or 3 seconds only"

He thought for a moment and he decided not to change anything until he got stronger.

*Next day*

Leon announced that today they would finish all matches and find the winner.

There were only 10 contestants left and the 3rd round began.

After 3 matches finished, Angus was called and his match began. His opponents was a huge guy who specialized in body cultivation.

Angus immediately used his trump card to see if he could finish the guy in seconds. After being hit 20 times with 200{K}, the guys didn't went down and still could fight him.

Angus didn't panicked as he exchanged Energy for Ki and fought the guy purely with Ki because his muscles and bones were now weaken. His opponent was only a body cultivator so he easily taken the guy down only with Ki. After that he came sown and rest.

The doctors came and gave him a pill to restore stamina and Ki. After that, he watched other matches, Shiro and the sleeping guy ended the matched as fast as he was.

After an hour of resting for the contestants, the 4th round began and Angus was first to be called.

His opponent was .... Shiro and looked at his angry face yet delighted, mean that he had been waited for this very long time.

As soon as they came on the platform, Shiro asked him.

"Do you know Lady Tara?"

"??? Yeah?"

"You are DEAD"

Angus was so confused right now because the guys question and his face was filled with jealousy.

*Flash Back #3*

Shiro was sitting in-front of Tara and his face was smiling creepily.

"Tara I knew you will eventually fall for me"

"Shiro, this had nothing to do with that but I will go out with you for a week if you win the tournament and give me the money"

"A week? Of course I will do that. Oh wait, the Angus kid? Who is him to you?"

"Hum, very close friend I think"

The moment he heard that his brain processed the information in his way. Close friend - potential rival in love.

(Marry In cultivation world really doesn't matter in age because they can live up to hundreds of years.)
