2 Chapter 21: VOID

For 3 months, there wasn't even an attack from the cult but the school still in an alert for attacks. In those months, Angus trained with more than 150kg shirt and learned to fight close combat from a teacher that expert in close range combat with fist from Lion Guard.

He also tried to make his punched at the speed of 75 miles per hour (MPH) but it almost dislocate his arm from shoulder so he could only do with 30 MPH.

One month ago, the school announced the tournament for officials to show case their strengths to the public and how improved the officials were. The prize is 500 thousand silver and a permit to highest floor of the library where only skills and mystic arts were too rare and hard to learn like Half Mind which was category as Rare cultivation art. Half mind was later put on the top floor after Angus learned from it.

"The price of last year wasn't attracting enough for all officials to come but now, the price is not only attract newcomers but also some seriously strong officials senior and most of them care about the top floor. Fortunately, the tournament only allow rank 5 or below and under 30"

"Void Word is a world that a Portal Gate lead to, the world only allow rank 5 and below to go in and unknown reason why rank above cannot go in. The Portal is in Fort City which is under school rule and there isn't any term about Death Spider"

Portal Gate was something he learned from the school library and he wanted to go to one but he couldn't go during his "school arrest". The portal Gates weren't rare among cities and countries because they appeared way before the age of Elora (chapter 4), the Gates could bring profits but most of the Gate around the continent didn't bring any goods or economic benefits.

Angus accepted the mission and used Thunder to fly to the Fort City. It took him only 2 hours to reach there then he called Thunder to go back to his bag. The city isn't big as the Fang city and it was just Small city, the only thing stood out was the huge looking stone gate with spinning dark space inside. He then payed fee to go in, he saw 3 people felt down when they reached the portal like they walked to a wall.

"Look like some people still don't know or try they luck to go into the portal, only for rank 5 and below"

"Dammit let leave"

The three rank 6 left while Angus passed them and went into the portal.

In space, thousands of stars illuminated but what stood out in view was a hole, NO a planet that darker than black ink. If someone saw it from afar, they could think that there was a small black void in space. There was a green sun near the black planet but even the light couldn't make the planet brighter.

After passing through the gate like he was instantly transferred to a new world. Everything around him was dark but with fire stick and a light fire tower, he could see the small town illuminating in the dark. The sky was filled with stars and a big green fire ball in the sky.

"No clouds, everything is dark and a huge green sun. Maybe the planet is near the sun but why don't the planet hot?"

"Please follow me, I will show you the way to the town"

An old woman appeared with a fire stick in her hand so he followed her to the town. On the way he saw nothing but darkness, even the land he walked on was dark and the fire stick light didn't lighted the dark ground but only the surrounding. When he reached the town, he asked her for information but she told him to look for Rat who was a citizen here. After asking around, he found Rat and he was a teenage boy, the boy was seating under a wide board with words: Void world Info.

"Hey, are you Rat?"

"5 silvers for basic info, 10 silvers for town and its history, 50 silvers for every info you ask and need"

"Straight to business, I like it"

Angus gave the boy 50 silvers then he asked for the world basic info first.

"This world called Void World, like the name, everything is dark as black ink. Even the trees are dark, the sky is filled with stars and the big green fireball. Because the world is dangerous and dark, I don't have enough info about the entire world."

"Has anyone tried to fly into the sky?"

"Yes, there were two rank 5 cultivators used Flying Mystic Art and flew into the sky but when they reached a point, their body was caught on fire. One of them died while other was lucky enough to fly back but died after a few days. The last word he spoke was that DON'T EVER GO PAST THE BARRIER, after that the experts concluded that there is a protection barrier protected us from the huge fireball in the sky"

"Spiders are the only beast in this world, I think they are the ruler of this world. There are 4 kinds of spiders and they are the Worker, the Soldier and the Queen while the last kind is known as Death but we call it, Death Spider. In order to know what kind they are, there are red stripes on their abdomen. The workers have one stripe, the soldiers have 2 stripes, the Queens have 3 stripes and Deaths have 4 stripes. The bigger they are, the higher rank they get. The biggest Spider which was the Queen, rank 5 and it 18m wide and 15m tall. Of course no matter how big they are, the quality still better means that a soldier and a worker fight at the same rank, the soldier win."

"What about the Queen and Death?"

"Queens are rare among spider colonies, they controlled the workers and soldiers but Deaths are different, we only found out 4 Death Spiders and the highest rank we saw was rank 3. They carry a very deadly poison and the antidote to cure is from them. Once there was a case a princess got poisoned by a Death Spider, the king was furious so he ordered every rank 5 to go into Void and looked for a Death and in the end, they captured one and brought a drop of antidote from the Spider before it died. Oh right, I heard that there was a boy got poisoned by One when he and his friends came here, the boy father was a pill maker and delayed the boy death but now he needed a Death Spider to have the antidote"

"Where can I go to found Spiders?"

"Well, we are on the mountain where Spiders hate to live on because of the cold and heights. SO you just need to go down the mountain and reach the forest. I don't know how big the forest but there are Spiders there"

He left the teenage boy and went to the entrance of the town where he could go down to the forest. They asked him to bring a fire torch with him but he declined. When he reached the gate, he asked Phoenix to come out and re size itself so that it needed to light the around enough to see, he didn't need to attract everyone or Spiders when he came down.
