3 Chapter 22: SPIDERS STRENGTH

Angus went down from the top of the mountain and with Phoenix's fire light, he could see around but the problem was that it was really dark, even with Phoenix. It like he and Phoenix were the only people left in this world.

"I can see the trees"

They reached the trees and like the ground, even light cannot light up the trees surfaces.

"How can this world work this way? It is unscientific"

"Perfect, we are in cultivation world. Nothing can be explained in term of science."

"NO, the only different is Ki. From our side, the planet is in the right range of the sun and can support life, everything is the same like Earth but this is more than science, this is defying everything we have learn about life and planets. How can this planet don't reflect the sun or light even it is close? The barrier that protect from the sun radiation and heat, I don't believe someone or something can create such thing on planet scale."

"Maybe the legend rank 20 or something much stronger?"

"You need to reach higher rank, Ape. This world is more exciting than the novels you have read, I need to know more"

After talking to Perfect, Angus went deeper into the forest. The light only make an outline of trees so he could still see. When he reached webs of "Spider" that spread around the trees, he webs were pure white like silk and there was a nice smell coming from the webs.

"This seem like the way their hunt preys for food, nice smell lure them but what kind of preys they want to lure? The boy said only spiders are the beast of this world, maybe we human are preys to them"

Suddenly something came down from the tree and it attacked him from behind but it was too slow for him so he attacked it back. He felt that he was hitting a metal board and he saw a red stripe on its body, a Worker. The spider only landed a bit then it crawled back and attacked him again.

This time he put on his arm guards and used 100{K}, the Spider was killed with one punch and it look as big as a big dog. The light could reflect on its body, its appearance wasn't much different from a normal spider would have and the 2 things make it special were it size and the red stripe.

He heard more noise from around him, he saw spiders everywhere and mostly he saw Workers but he saw 3 Soldiers.

"This is going to be tough, Phoenix feel free to use fire to burn down trees. Release mode"

Every times Workers came near him, his flame punch easily killed them but for Soldiers, they moved in order and spited out "acid". He found it in a very hard way, the acids burned his right leg so he couldn't move without feeling hurt but his leg was healed. The fire couldn't even burn the trees so Phoenix kept using flame blade and fireballs freely.

His leg healed after dodging acid from soldiers and he speeded up to break Soldier's formation. Once the Soldiers was killed, the Workers ran away.

"Dam, I don't know their rank but they are really tough to handle when come in numbers. I should have ask the boy for more information about spiders."

He felt a burst of Ki from the direction where the Workers ran away, it gave him goosebumps. He didn't know what kind of Spiders emitted such enormous Ki but he didn't want to stay here to find out. He ran away with Phoenix and it turned off its flame so they couldn't attract more spiders.

When Angus ran away, a huge Spider and it was bigger than a truck appeared at his previous battle spot. It found out that bunch of Workers and 3 soldiers were killed so it "roared" to the sky, the roar was so loud that Angus's ears from far away were hurt. It then proceeded to split a mountain of acid everywhere around it, smelted the trees and spiders dead bodies.

"What the hell was that?"

"From its Ki and the roaring power, its strength even stronger than rank 7. Ape, run away quickly, that thing has found you already."

"What? How?"

Angus saw a something huge was coming at him by knocking down trees on its way to him. He saw 2 stripes on its body, A Soldier and its fckng huge. He started to run again and this time Phoenix created flame for them to see, there wasn't any point to hide if it already find him.

"The hell with rank restriction, that goddam thing is even stronger than a rank 7"

The huge Soldier spited out more acids to smelt down trees so that it could ran faster to Angus. When it was about 50m away from Angus, it roared again and this time, Angus had headache and almost knocked out from the roar. He asked A.I to send shock to his brain to keep him awake.

"I have enough of this, want to chase me? How about taking 650{K} punch you goddam monster."

He stopped and used all his Ki onto his punch. The punch was now 166 times stronger than adult. (Ki give him 130x while his muscle give him 36x)

His launched himself at the Soldier and hit it with all his power. The spider was pushed back and it skeletons body got cracks all over its body. The power from his punch didn't kill it but enough to give it life threatening injuries.

The spider was almost killed and for the first time in its life, something born from inside it, FEAR. It saw human as prey for its kind and never met any strong human but this time, it was different. It stood up despite its injuries and ran away but Angus already attacked again after exchanging Energy for Ki. Destroyed it legs and used Penetrate punch to destroyed its head, a high rank Soldier was killed.

In a mountain, a humongous Spider with 3 striped on its body and seem to be sleeping on a network of webs but suddenly it opened its 8 eyes then looked at the direction of where Angus killed the Soldier. It stood up and "spoke" in a very strange language but in human English tongue, "A Human killed my Soldier, Children prepare to hunt"

Upon her words, thousands of smaller spiders, some even bigger than the Soldier that Angus kill ,crawled down and they moved to Angus direction. The Queen waited for all of her children to move out then she grew out "wings" like a butterfly and flew above her children.

"Rank 5 my ass, its strength is overpower a rank 7. The boy gave me wrong information."

"I don't think so, the information about the spiders maybe old or outdated. They can be evolved and become stronger over the years"

"Hum, what that?"

He saw people and they ran away with panic. Some are even heavy injured.

"The spiders gone crazy, they are killing everyone"

"Did you see the size of those things?"

"Who cares? Their power weren't like the boy said, they aren't rank 5 at all, they are above that"

Cultivators all ran to the mountain so Angus followed them. When they almost reached the mountain, Angus and others saw something in the sky.

"Compared to the boy said the largest Queen they found, like compared to an ant to human"

Angus was more shocked to see its size and its Ki. The Queen saw Angus so it opened its mouth and spited out Gas. He didn't know what Gas could do but he didn't want to take the chance to see it.

Angus ran faster to the mountain and some people got caught into the gas, they stopped and started smelting down into water pool. When they reached the mountain, the Queen and its children stopped. The Queen kept staring at Angus for a second then it ordered the spiders to leave.

"Why do the spiders left?"

"I don't want to know, I just want to leave this place"

People ran back to the top of the mountain while Angus sat down and thought.

"I doubt they are afraid of cold and height, maybe something in the mountain"

"We don't have time for this, we need the Death spider, Ape. Next time you should fight less, look more"

Angus then ran back to the top as he came up with more plans for the next days.
