65 Promise

"Kim Seokjin, let's break up."

Anger, hurt, fear, every possible feeling a person could feel when dejected came and suddenly left, leaving various of emotion inside Jin. Everything was slowly falling apart. She was breaking her promise once again.

Why did she have to leave him? He couldn't understand why they couldn't be together when they both love each other.

Yes, she did lie to him, but he doesn't care anymore about that. Her lie was not toxic like those other girls. She cared for him when he was at his worst state. She was still the only person whose touch made his heart tingle. His heart and body knew her scent and touch. His body reacted to Jisoo when he saw her again. He should have known then. He should have connected all the dots when he first saw her as Min Jisoo at her school. She was his drug that he's grown addicted to.

Jisoo turns around and opens the door, but Jin refuses to let her go. He was quick to push the door shut, holding it tight while she tries to jerk it open.

"Kim Seokjin! Let me go!" She screams while pulling on the doorknob.

The door opens just a crack before it's harshly held shut again by Jin. Jisoo turns around and tears fells endlessly down her cheeks as she tries to push Jin away from holding back the door. He grips both her wrist and they struggled with one another before Jin moved closer into Jisoo's body to pin her against the door. Both her hands were now also pinned next to her face.

They were both were panting from exhaustion. Jisoo from trying to break free and Jin from not letting her go. They were both were stubborn in their own way.

Jisoo was growing weak. She used most of her energy. Her breath and heart were pacing at an incredible speed with the proximity between them. But she still didn't dare to look Jin. She couldn't look at him for the fear of giving in to his cries and pleas. She needed to get away from him. She needs to stay sane.

"Jin, let me go... please," Jisoo begs while letting out soft pants and shutting her eyes close.

He felt like his heart was about to explode inside his chest. Seeing her shed tears was ripping every inch of his heart into billion of pieces. He's never been the type to be so possessive. Why was it only this girl? He wanted her and only her. So he wasn't about to give up.

Instead, he moves in even closer to her. He leaned his head down into her neck and gave her soft kisses. He leaves a trail of kisses that lead up to the corner of her lip. He gave it a quick peck before speaking, his lips brushing against hers.

"I already told you Min Jisoo. I'm never letting you go..."

His hands let go of her wrists and he was fast to cup her face and then he's kissing her, deeply and passionately.

Jisoo found herself kissing him back. Her hands clutching onto his back and lips moving in sync with his. She was losing herself into the heated kiss. They made out for a few seconds more before Jisoo suddenly breaks away, catching her breath.

Heaving heavily, she locks eyes with Jin who was equally out of breath with his hands still holding her face near to his.

"What do I have to do?" Jin asks, voice barely above a whisper.

"How do I get you to stay with me? I want nobody, but you. Can't you see I'm going insane here?"

He closes his eyes and leaned his forehead onto hers, resulting in her own two eyes to close shut with his. They were silent for a minute. No words were spoken while they stood in each other's presence.

After a while longer, Jisoo finally opens her eyes and broke the silence.

"I told you already. I can't forgive myself. I couldn't face you as my real self, Jin. I had to use a fake identity to lure you to love me. I'm a bad person."

"And I already told you too that I love you and only you, whether you are Jisoo or Minji. I loved the girl who cared for me. I love her and she was you. You could have been a little old lady and I would still love you."

Silence was all that Jin got from Jisoo.

"Please say something Jisoo. Tell me you'll stay. Tell me you love me too. Tell me I have nothing to be scared of and that you'll never leave me again."

"I'm sorry Jin..."

Defeated and heartbroken all over again, Jin slowly back away from Jisoo and stood tall in front of her. Every word that was spoken next hurts him, but it had to be said.

"Is that what you really want? You want us to break up?"

Her heart was equally broken, just like Jin's, but she nods her head yes anyways.

Jin felt a deep cut that was gradually getting ripped open inside his chest as he watched Jisoo open the door and walked out of his room. Soon after he heard the front door open and then shut closed. His knees and body were growing weak, but he took slow steps out of his room. He walks out to see an empty apartment. Jisoo really had left.

He walks up to the front door and he held the door handle wanting to open it and chase after the girl, but he couldn't bring himself to open the door. He let go of the handle and turn around and slid down the door.

His breaths were short and he felt like he couldn't breathe. He grips his shirt by his chest and fist it into a ball. The pain was unbearable and soon he let out a painful and silent sob into his hands.

Jisoo ran out of the apartment and once she was outside his door, she turns around and slid down the door. With the door being the only thing separating the two of them from each other and oblivious to the one they love on the other side of the door, Jisoo's cries fill the hallway of Jin's apartment.

"Give me another one Namjoon. And one for Taehyung too."

Taehyung let a small smile form on the corner of his lips before quickly resuming as actor Taehyung. He clears his throat and tries to play it off as if Yoongi's presence next to him didn't affect him one bit.

"What do you want Yoongi? Speak so I can leave."

"What are you trying to do Taehyung?"

"Huh? What are you talking about?"

"Jin isn't really blind is he?"

Taehyung let out a deep and loud throaty laugh.

"Nah, Jin Hyung is perfectly fine. Minus the little fever that he had caught."

Yoongi was right. He read all of Taehyung's signs this morning and he assumed right away that this was all Taehyung's plan. Regardless, Yoongi still sent Jisoo to Jin, because he knew that she needed to come clean to Jin. If not now, she would never tell the truth to Jin. But that doesn't explain why Taehyung wanted anything to do with Yoongi again. It doesn't explain why he's here sitting next to him when he has hurt Taehyung so severely.

"Why did you come back? I told you to leave us alone."

Taehyung's smile falters at Yoongi's serious tone. He turns his head to watch the older, tilting it just a tad bit to see his face better.

"Because I heard everything you and Jisoo talked about when you purposely lied to me that day."

Yoongi whipped his head to face the younger.

"Y-you heard us?"

Taehyung nods, his grin widening into his famous boxy smile.

"I heard you two and I heard how important I am to you Yoongi Hyung."

Yoongi's face flushes red all over and he let out a deep fake cough to avoid the subject.

"I also saw you crying because of me. I didn't know you cared that much about me," Taehyung teased Yoongi a little more.

"Yoongi Hyung, you cried because of Tae?" Namjoon asked shocked written all over his face that the Min Yoongi actually cried.

"I didn't cry!" Yoongi protested.

"Right. Whatever you say Hyung. I already saw it all."

Taehyung let out a laugh as he kept nudging Yoongi before hooking his arms around the older's shoulders.

"Yoongi Hyung, you're important to me too," Taehyung says as Yoongi turns to look at the younger. Yoongi shrugs Taehyung's hand off his shoulder and gulps his drink down in one go again.

"You're gonna get drunk if you keep drinking like that."

"How did you hear our conversation? I saw you drive off already," Yoongi asks changing the subject.

"I came back to give you this," Taehyung replies while handing the sheet of music that he had brought with him, but was hidden inside his jacket to Yoongi. Only Taehyung had changed the whole song. He had written his own song and lyrics. He felt content with it but was still honestly looking to see Yoongi's reaction towards it.

"When I first heard you play 'I Need U', I felt like the song was meant for me. You asked me to help you write the lyrics to it and when I was helping you with the song, I was going through so much agony because of Jisoo. So at the time, the song and lyrics were written with sad and dark lyrics. Even with 'Save Me' that I was helping Namjoon Hyung with was dark."

'I'm Fine' was written on top as the title and while Yoongi examines the sheet of music and reading the notes written on the paper, he could already hear the tune inside his head.

"You turned 'Save Me' into 'I'm fine'," Yoongi softly spoke, more to himself than to anyone. Feeling proud and impressed by the younger's talent, Yoongi's face broke into a huge gummy smile. He scans through the lyrics and his gummy smile never left his face.

Watching Yoongi's eyes lit up at the sheet of music that Taehyung had written brought warmth and joy to his heart. Yoongi's gummy smile that he rarely showed was on his face and Taehyung never felt more proud of himself then this very moment.

"You did a good job Tae. I like it a lot. Let's work on this one as soon as we can Namjoon."

Namjoon took the sheets out from Yoongi's hand and read through it as well.

"Yahhh, didn't know you were such a talented kid Taehyung. I would have recruited you a long time ago, had I known."

Taehyung let out a shy and kid-like giggle hearing both his Hyung's compliment him.

"Thanks guys, but it's really because I had a very good teacher," Taehyung spoke as he met Yoongi's gaze, smiling warmly at the older.

Yoongi returns the smile back to Taehyung. He hooks his arms around Taehyung's shoulder before speaking.

"I know Jisoo loves Jin, but I would have preferred you as my future brother in law."

Taehyung let out a loud laugh and tossed his head back with amusement at hearing what Yoongi had just said. He shook his head and hooked his own arm around Yoongi's shoulder.

"I didn't get the sister..." Taehyung softly spoke before turning to lock eyes with his Hyung.

"... but I got the brother who will be my dear Hyung for the rest of my life."

They shared a tiny bromance moment before Namjoon suddenly interrupts.

"Yah, what about me Tae?! You've only met Yoongi Hyung for a few months and he means more to you than me?! I grew up with you and changed your diaper at one point!"

The two broke apart and they let out a laugh at Namjoon's jealous statement.

"You're special to me too Namjoon Hyung. You, Yoongi, Jin, and even Hoseok Hyung are all special to me."

Namjoon smiles before his face suddenly turn into a face of realization.

"Oh Yoongi Hyung, since you were looking for someone to sing our songs, I asked Hoseok to look for people. I forgot that Hoseok called me earlier. He said he was gonna bring two friends along to meet us today. They go to our school but they are majoring in dance. According to Hoseok, they have very beautiful voices."

Yoongi nods to answer Namjoon. Since Hoseok, Yoongi, and Namjoon raps for most of the song, Yoongi felt like Taehyung singing alone was too much work. He brought up the idea a while ago before all the drama between Taehyung and himself, but he didn't think anyone had heard him.

Soon, the door opens and enters Hoseok along with two male. One of them was short, around Yoongi's height. He has such a round and cute face and his eyes had disappeared when he smiled at the three male at the bar.

"Hi! Nice to meet you all. My name is Park Jimin," he spoke while shaking hand with them.

"And I'm Jeon Jungkook," the tall and shy looking muscle male said and he shook their hands as well. He hid behind Jimin after the handhshake as they all introduced each other.

After formally getting to know one another and hearing the two singing voices, they all agreed to let the two Busan boys join their little gang.

While Namjoon, Hoseok, Jimin, and Jungkook talk to each other, Taehyung and Yoongi had some unfinished business that still needed to be taken care of.

"I wonder how Jin and Jisoo are doing right now. I have a small fear that my sister might be a stubborn hardheaded idiot and won't forgive herself for lying to Jin."

"Yoongi Hyung, don't worry. Everything will be alright."

"How can you be so sure Taehyung?"

"Because they love each other," Taehyung simply replies before giving the older a small grin.

Yoongi returns the grin before speaking his mind.

"You know what Taehyung? I have this strong feeling that we were meant to find each other in this lifetime. Like we made some sort of pact to find each other again. Weird huh?"

"No. It's not weird at all. In fact, I feel the same way too. Thank you Yoongi Hyung, for finding me and being a great Hyung to me."

Yoongi let out a chuckle.

"Yah, this is serious deja vu. Instead, I feel like I was the one who told you to come find me and I'll become a better Hyung to you."

The two laugh it off before finishing their drinks and regroup with the rest of the boys.

[Just a little FYI, this conversation is a little reference to my first fanfic ever 'I Have Loved You, I Will Love You.' If you have not read that fanfic, then you will not understand the deeper meaning behind this tiny scene for Yoongi and Taehyung. 😁😁😁]

**********

After calming down from her cries, Jisoo finally stood up and made her way towards the elevator. She pressed the down arrow and soon she saw her own reflection in the metal door.

Her posture in the door was totally different from her real self. She was weak, tired, exhausted from everything, but her reflection stood tall and strong. She had her hands on her hips and she screamed at Jisoo.

'What the hell is wrong with you?! You were scared of him finding out about you because you said he was going to be disappointed in you. He clearly was not disappointed one bit Min Jisoo! He loves you for goodness sake! Did you not see how much he was fighting for you to stay with him! Go back to him, you idiot!'

"But-"

'Don't you dare but me. I will only ask you one thing. Do you love him, Min Jisoo?"

"Yes, I love him. I love him so much, but I can't be selfish and greedy. He doesn't deserve me."

'No buts. Min Jisoo, do you love Kim Seokjin?'

Jisoo stared at her reflection.

'Do you love that man who is probably crying his eyes out right now because you left him. You broke your promise.'

Jisoo could feel her cries slowly coming to a stop as she talked to her reflection.

'Didn't you promise him you'd never let go of his hand?'

"I..... I promised him that I'll-" Jisoo was hit with the sudden recollection of their promise that caused her to stop mid-sentence.

'Not just a nurse or a friend Jin, but I want to be your eyes too. So if you let me and don't let go of these hands, I'll never let go either. I promise.'

'You promised me Minji..... So don't let go. Don't leave me....'

'I won't.'

Memories of when the promise was first made flashes through Jisoo's mind. The way Jin held tightly onto her hand with hopeful eyes. Soon her memories flash back to earlier.

'Jisoo, you promised me! You promised to be my eyes. You said if I don't let go of your hands, you wouldn't let go either. I'm still holding on so please don't let go.'

The pain and despair in Jin's voice rung throughout her ears.

"What, what am I doing?" Jisoo asks her own reflection as it stares back at her. Her breath was heavy as she stares back at her reflection. No matter how much she tries to run away, how much she denies it, she was head over heels in love with him, with Kim Seokjin.

The elevator door opens up causing her reflection to split into two before it vanishes into the sides, but she doesn't enter the elevator. She turns on her heels and runs straight back to Jin's apartment.
