Familiar Forest

The next day went by in a flash with Adam waking up with Mikasa hugging him as tightly as possible. Nothing strange happened besides him being looked at with hatred by Saji and Koneko looking at him more often than normal.

The day after that, Adam was making his way to school with Mikasa and Asia since she had been enrolled in the class for second years, the same class as Issei and his friends. He wasn't really worried about anything happening to her since even if Issei is a pervert, he wouldn't do anything that crossed the line. Well, at least that's what he hoped for.

At the end of the day, Adam was walking with Mikasa and Asia saw the student council group heading for the ORC building so he decided to follow them.

Once inside the room, Adam heard Rias and Sona introducing Saji and Issei to each other.

He stood behind all of them while Asia went to go and talk with Issei, making both Saji and Issei argue about something.

Sona and Rias then talked about who would get to get familiars, since only one of them could go at a time. They decided that they'd play a tennis match to see who'd get the rights to use the guide.

Adam, who heard that they were going to get familiars, was also interested since he remembered that a Hydra was living in the familiar forest. He actually wanted to try Hydra meat since he could cook it with his gate and all the spices he has. There was also a license in there that only someone that could cook Hydra meat owns. It should have been that Gilgamesh would be the only one with it but once it turned to Adam's treasury it gave him all the information he needed to own that license.

He didn't need to have the guide show him the way in there since he could find his own way once in there.

Watching the tennis match Adam began to think about what he had yet to do. He still had to worry about the holy grail war that would happen later on. While he knows that he could destroy the holy grail he still doesn't know what will change with him being there. But he doesn't need to worry too much about it since it still is months away from happening so he should be fine for now.

Knowing that no one was going to win Adam decided to head home.

The next day he waited for Mikasa and Asia so they could head to the familiar forest.

Soon both of them arrived where Adam was. "Are you guys ready?" asked Adam to both of the girls.

"Of course" Mikasa replied confidently

Asia replied with a simple nod and that was all Adam needed. He then teleported them with his gate right next to where Rias' group teleported.

"So I see you guys made it as well" Adam was the first to talk.

"Yes, we came to search for a familiar for Issei. What are you here for Adam?" Rias replied to Adam.

"I came here looking for the Hydra that lives here."

"That's a problem, I wanted Issei to make the Hydra his familiar" Rias said acting troubled.

"N-no that's fine with me President, he can have the Hydra if he wants it" Issei responded sacred by the thought of trying to tame a Hydra.

"What a nice guy," Adam said. "Also can you guys take Asia with you? You don't have to worry about taking care of her, that's what Mikasa is here for" Adam said while pushing both of them towards Rias' group.

"If they can take care of themselves then I don't see a problem with it, "Rias said. She then asked Adam a question "Will you be going to tame the Hydra by yourself then?"

Mikasa was also looking at Adam confused since he never mentioned anything about him going alone.

"Tame it? What are you talking about? I came here to kill it and use its meat for food" Adam said casually.

Everyone was dumbfounded by his answer. Who would have thought that a feared mythical creature would only be seen as food by a human. Now that he was done explaining what he was going to do he kissed Mikasa on the forehead hoping that it would be enough to make up for not bringing her with him

Seeing how Mikasa was now in a daze while touching her forehead he guessed that it had worked. Sensing that the guide for them was arriving Adam made his way toward one of the biggest magical reactions he could sense in the forest.

Now that Adam had left Rias was looking at Mikasa who was still in a daze. 'How is she supposed to protect anyone in that state' she thought to herself. Asia was looking towards Mikasa with a little bit of jealousy since Adam hadn't talked to her much since she moved in with them.

Once their guide had arrived Rias and her group made their way into the forest.

Trying to get more information on Adam, Rias started small talk with Mikasa. "You guys seem to be really close".

Mikasa who was still in a daze responded "Of course we are, we've known each other since we were nine"

"That's nice, it must've been a nice meeting between you two," Rias said trying to keep the conversation going.

Remembering their first meeting Mikasa woke up from her daze. That's the most important event that has ever happened to her. "When we met each other both of us didn't trust each other, it took years for us to get used to each other. I don't know what happened to Adam before we met for him to be wary of people. But I'll never know since he doesn't talk about it." Mikasa said.

Changing the topic to something else Rias asked a question that she wanted an answer to "Where do you guys live? I haven't seen any records of you guys living in Kuoh Town".

"We live in a mansion bordering Kuoh town in Fuyuki City," Mikasa answered since Adam never told her that she couldn't speak about any of the questions Rias was asking.

'Fuyuki City? Isn't that the city filled with magus that my brother told me to not have anything to do with? Why do they live there?' Rias thought to herself once she heard the name of the city. "Why do you guys live there?" Rias asked, hoping to get an answer.

"I don't really know either," Mikasa answered honestly. "Maybe it was the only place he could find a mansion that was near Kuoh" she continued speaking after a brief pause.

"You guys live in a mansion? What do Adam's parents do for a living? They must be super-rich." Issei was the one to ask this question. It's been on his mind ever since he saw Adam pull out multiple gold bars and give them away like they were candy.

"That's all his money. He told me he never knew his mom or dad since they both had died by the time he could remember anything" Mikasa responded to Issei.

"Then where does he get all his money from?" Rias questioned.

"I'm sure I've heard him making business calls with different companies but I don't actually know how he gets so much money," Mikasa replied since it should be obvious that Adam had a lot of money.

"How much money does he have?" Issei questioned since his dream of being a Harem King wouldn't be possible without money.

"I don't know either. I don't think even Adam keeps track of the money he makes. I've heard him countless times state 'I can't count the amount of money I have' so it should be a lot" Mikasa told everyone. She also unintentionally crushed Issei's dream of having more money than Adam.

They continued following the guide through the forests. They saw an Undine that had the body of a bodybuilder.

They then saw a Sprite Dragon on top of a tree. That was when a slime came down from the sky. It landed on everyone and it began to melt the clothe's off of them.

Seeing what the slime was doing Mikasa summoned her sword and cut all the slime that came towards her and Asia into little pieces. She'd kill herself before she'd let someone who wasn't Adam see her naked.

Issei was still gawking at the bare bodies of all the other girls in the group so Mikasa decided to end the cursed familiar. She quickly went around slashing the slimes that were covering the other girls.

The last slime was right next to Issei and he was protecting it. "Don't kill him, we were fated to be together" he said with tears almost falling from his eyes.

"Don't exaggerate Issei" Rias told him.

The dragon who was watching from the beginning came down from the tree to shock Issei, killing his slime in the process.

"NOO!!" Issei screamed on top of the burn slime.

"Stop shouting Pervert" Koneko reprimanded him as she threw a punch aimed towards his stomach

"Alright I guess we weren't able to find you a familiar today Issei, don't worry you'll find one that is right for you when the time comes," Rias said "Now let's go find Adam" she continued saying.

"That's something I can agree with you in," Mikasa said she tried to sense where Adam was.

"BOOM!!!!"

Everyone was scared by the huge explosion that came from the northern part. Not that long after hearing the sound, a huge shockwave hit everyone.

'This feels familiar' Mikasa thought.

"It's Adam's mana again? What the heck is he doing!" Rias yelled.

They all went running in the direction where the explosion came from.

When Adam left the group he didn't go straight for the Hydra. He needed to get items from other creatures to make a weapon he needed. He wanted to make a weapon that would kill Immortals. There are a lot of people that can be considered Immortal such as; gods, vampires, and other creatures. He already had a couple of weapons to kill Immortals but he needed materials from other creatures and the Hydra to make his own.

Once he was done collecting all of the materials he needed he went to find the Hydra to get the last item which was the Hydra's immortal head.

The place where he felt the Hydra was a cave on the north side of the forest so Adam waited for it to come out of its cave. After waiting for it for 10 minutes Adam was beginning to think that the Hydra was not coming out on purpose.

"You forced me to do this," Adam said as he took out a pair of golden swords and combined them at the hilt. He then unsealed his mana causing an explosion to take place with Adam at the center of it. The shockwave continued to the end of the forest and everyone else around the world felt it again.

Making an arrow from his mana Adam shot it towards the entrance of the cave. At the same time in the sky, seven stars appeared and were focusing around the star in the middle.

Once the arrow landed on something, the six stars converged into the middle star bringing down an energy beam from outside the earth's atmosphere. The beam hit the cave in an instant blowing it up and along with the area around it. Once the smoke cleared you could see an enraged Hydra that was regenerating its heads along with an extra head for every single one that was destroyed.

Comin out of a pile of debris from the explosion, Adam's clothes were in a mess. His shirt was barely hanging on him and his jeans had cuts everywhere. Adam's wounds were healing at a faster rate than the Hydras so before it was able to heal all of its heads, Adam pulled out a sword he had forged using the heart of a fire dragon.

The sword was silver with a hint of red coming from the blade. The handle was golden and you could see Adam's signature. It's the same one he has put on all of his weapons up to this date.

"This is your fault, you wanted to do this the hard way, don't hiss at me for it," Adam said towards the Hydra.

Charging up the sword with his mana, it started glowing red until it became yellow and switched to blue not that on after.

Even with its low intelligence, the Hydra knew that the sword was trouble so it did the only thing it could, it charged a combined attack with all of its heads. The ball was a glowing purple and it was filled with strong toxins that would usually be able to harm gods and kill any other human.

'I guess it always goes like this' Adam thought as he looked at the ball of poison.

The main head of the Hydra made eye contact with Adam and released the ball towards Adam at a ridiculous speed.

Adam was also not too behind the Hydra, he swung his sword in a parallel line towards the ground, cutting everything in its path right down the middle. The beam that was released was in the form of fire so the Hydra's heads weren't able to regenerate back up. Adam was also hit with the ball of poison sending him flying into a nearby mountain.

"Goddam that hurts!" Adam said as he pulled himself out of the side of the mountain. The poison was so strong that Adam could still feel it even now.

"HisSsSsSSSSsss" the remaining Hydra head hissed at him.

"You want to end this too bud? I guess we can understand each other" Adam said as he pulled out a long cane with a hook at the end of it. This weapon will make it so that the Hydra wouldn't be able to use its monstrous regeneration to heal its immortal head.

Adam also noticed that Rias and her peerage had just arrived and were standing on the edge of the mountain. So to not get them involved Adam decided he'd end the Hydra.

"I guess this is it. I appreciate the fight you gave me" Adam said as he used his full speed along with his mana as a boost to reach behind the Hydra and bring its neck to the inside of the hook where the blade was located, decapitating the last head of the Hydra.

Now that its regeneration was the same as a normal human the Hydra wasn't able to regenerate its head in time to not die. So it took its last steps before collapsing on the ground.

Adam fell on top of the Hydra and decided to lay down for a bit.

Issei was now thankful that he didn't try and take the Hydra as his familiar.

Mikasa was the first to run down the mountain and go to where Adam was. "Adam are you alright?!" she screamed.

"Same as always" Adam replied as he got up to catch Mikasa. "Well, I guess I was able to get the Hydra meat hahaha," he said and began laughing.

Mikasa knocked him on the head "Don't just try and laugh it off, idiot".

"Yeah of course, but I wasn't in any danger, to begin with," Adam said as he took out replacements for his tattered clothes.

"That was quite the fight," Rias said as she tried to hide her shock.

Nodding, Koneko commented, "Indeed, It was the best fight I've seen"

"Yes it was quite a good fight," Adam said, agreeing with them. "Is that another Hydra?!" Adam said as he pointed to the opposite side of where the Hydra was.

Everyone turned their head ready to attack, even Mikasa. While they had their heads turned, Adam placed the Hydra body parts into his treasury.

"There wasn't another Hydra don't lie to us like that" Issei complained, not noticing the Hydra had gone missing.

"Oh my, it seems he tricked all of us," Akeno said, staring at the place where the Hydra used to be located.

"Don't let it bother you too much, I'll bring you all a piece of the Hydra tomorrow as thanks for taking care of Mikasa when she wasn't in her top performance," Adam said with a smile. "So let's get going Asia, you don't want to miss out on any of the meat," he said and began to leave.

"Ah yes wait for me, Adam," Asia said. She then bowed towards Rias' group " Thank you for taking care of me today" she added. She then went running towards Adam with her dragon following close behind.

"He really killed it to just eat it," Rias said, dumbfounded by Adam's strength.

"Don't worry President, he said he'd give us some of it as well. I'm sure it'll taste great" Issei said, missing the point Rias was trying to make.

"Well I guess you're not wrong," Rias said with a tired smile.

"We should get going as well Rias" Akeno interrupted their conversation.

"You're right it's already late, let's go guys," Rias said as she made a teleportation circle to head back to Kuoh.
