Blade of The End

Since ancient times, there has always been a terrible war between humans and demons. The demons held a great advantage, possessing a powerful energy source known as the demon core which granted them enhanced physical abilities and a wide range of other powers. The humans, however, were slowly being driven to extinction.

Then, a warrior named Zach Demetriou emerged. Known for his love of swords and his ability to fight demons even without the power of energy, Zach trained and meditated with his sword for years until he attained enlightenment. His impeccable sword skills, combined with his newfound energy, made him the strongest human alive and a match for even the strongest demons.

As the humans learned to control and manipulate energy like the demons, their potential became limitless and the war began to shift in their favor. Despite this, the demons refused to consider peace and the fighting continued, with both sides suffering heavy losses.

Then, about a decade later, the gods descended to Earth. Five human gods and three demon gods clashed in a battle that devastated the surrounding landscape. When the fight ended, the demon gods had been subdued and the human gods were left wounded and exhausted, except for the first god who had not even seemed to try and exuded a domineering and dangerous aura.

The human kings and emperors met with the human gods, who revealed that they had come to stop the war and bring balance to the world.

But by no means did this mean peace, infact the next time these two species clashed spelt a blood soaked disaster engraved into human history.

The first demon god who had somehow obtained immesurable strength went on a bloody rampage. Kingdom after kingdom fell, and all gods and mortals who stood in his way were all terribly defeated.

He was known from then as tahataba— The chaos god.

That day the sky was grey and rivers dark red with blood

It's remembered as 'The war of black waters'.

A terrible day for all humans, one that almost made us lose hope in the gods ,and in ourselves.

An unfathomable existence which till this day is known as the strongest being.

The moment he joined the battle millions of demons were wiped out in a instant and the chaos god hopelessly defeated. Then, after the night of sorrow, this seemingly invincible god was never heard of again.

Decades After the war of black waters, the humans and demons rarely fought, and after the god of death disappeared, the humans lived in fear of the demons attacking them now that their strongest ally was gone but strangely the demons never attacked again.

But these small moments of peace were short-lived as

"And that will be where we stop today's class,ill be taking any questions at our next class, now remember the demonstrative test next week, i hope you all come prepared,dismissed." Miss serian said before leaving class.

"Who knew history could be slightly interesting"

"Yeah,this is the first class i didn't sleep through,i wonder where the first god disappeard to"

"I'm just saying the ..."

The class chatted on

Azrael sat at the back, failing to not listen to the students discussions while scribbling on his notepad.

He opened up his palm and stared at it

"Power like that...." he mumbled under his breath

Azrael remained in the classroom, waiting for the next class to begin after the professor had left. However, the chatter of the other students about the recent fight kept distracting him. The whole academy seemed to be talking about it.

Nina expressed her thoughts, "What if Ryo actually won?"

Lola replied, "I doubt it. The gap between the top ten and normal students is really large."

"But Ryo has always surpassed his limits," Nina argued. "I mean, he did go from rank 190 to rank 11 in just over a year."

"I really don't think it's likely, but I am rooting for him though. It will be interesting to see him do the impossible," Lola responded.

As the students continued chatting, Azrael's thoughts drifted over to Ryo. He wondered if Ryo could really win, even though nobody, including Azrael, had seen the full strength of the top ten. The rumors about them made it seem like they were untouchable and had an unfathomable level of strength.

Throughout the academy, Azrael and Ryo were known as the "crazy rank climbers" because of their obsession with climbing the power rank. They often requested rank duels, and impressively, Ryo had gone from rank 250 all the way to rank 11 while Azrael had gone from rank 400 to rank 166.

This was especially impressive for Azrael since he was expected to be the weakest student in the school, as he had not possessed ki. Even a skilled warrior with ki would be no match for the lowest-ranked student in Ryzel.

Azrael and Ryo's shared obsession to climb the ranks at Ryzel had led them to clash against each other several times. Most of these duels were Azrael's attempts to take Ryo's rank, but he always ended up losing. Nevertheless, these duels sprouted a strong friendship built on their shared determination to get stronger. They quickly became the best of friends, and their passion for self-improvement became the driving force behind their bond.

As Azrael was still lost in thought about the rank fight, the professor walked into the classroom. "Sorry, I'm late," he said. "My name is Professor Valdy, and I'll be teaching you history from now on."

Azrael sat up straighter in his seat, eager to learn. He had always been interested in history, and he was curious to see what Professor Valdy had to offer.

"Now, I'm sure Miss Serian has already covered war history," the professor continued. "So instead, I'll be teaching you all about the history of some other things. Let's get started, shall we?"

The lecture began.
