Chapter 4 - Malice
Gormak, Kantor, Randhart and Grimdale. Four kingdoms situated respectively on the south, north, east and west parts of a continent called Heindarth. The continent has been peaceful, but that was until the last century, when the king of Kantor desired to unify the continent under his banner. He began his crusade, going to the kingdom of Grimdale in the guise of working together to suppress the other two kingdoms.
The battle for supremacy began but all attempts remained futile due to the strength and relationship of the Gomrak and Randhart kingdoms. After more than 80years of constant warring and clashing between the kingdoms, a truce was called for as both sides decided to put an end to the countless losses they had experienced. Regardless, both sides have been at odds and have been gathering their forces.
Presently, in the throne room, Martha was staring daggers at King Murdock, waiting for him to say one wrong word so she could send him to the underworld. Like King Andy, King Murdock was a successor to the throne of Grimdale, which he ascended after the death of his father. Cunning and malicious as he was, the only person who could handle him and put him in his place was Andy who was currently the strongest king of the four kings.
"Be at ease Martha. It's a joyous occasion today and I bring good tidings, even though I wasn't invited… That hurts my pride you know; we are both royalty after all." King Murdock said as he flashed Martha a malicious grin. 'That's it, I'm going to kill him and wipe that smug look off his face…' Martha thought to herself as she was about to burn King Murdock to a crisp. Just as she was about to unleash the flames of her fury, she saw her husband walk in front of her, rage and lightning more intense than hers flickering in his eyes.
"Murdock… I suggest you don't aggravate my Queen lest I lose what is left of my temper." King Andy said in a calm manner befitting of the King he was. "Calm yourself Andy, I only came here to celebrate with you all but it seems I have soured the mood with my presence. Oh well, congratulations Andy. I'm sure with your strength you will be able to protect those you love like you protected your dear father-in-law. HAHAHAHAHA." King Murdock said as he turned around to leave with his entourage "WHAT DO YOU MEAN MURDOCK!!! ARE YOU THREATENING MY FAMILY?!?!" King Andy said in anger as the skies rumbled and the castle shook when a suffocating pressure descended on everyone present with the exception of his wife and child; proof of his somewhat controlled rage.
"It's alright my love. We both know that Murdock has always been good at enraging people. There is nothing he can do to us or our son." Martha said as she held King Andy back from going after King Murdock and murdering him where he stood. "Everyone leave; this banquet is over." Martha said as she led her husband to the room where his mother was.
"What's the matter dear?" Anika asked Martha as she felt the intense bloodlust King Andy emitted; but before Martha could explain what transpired between her husband and King Murdock, he erupted in rage. "I AM GOING TO RIP HIM APART LIMB FROM LIMB AND FEED HIS HEART TO THE DOGS!!!" 'SMACK!' A heavy slap landed on the back of his head as King Orion smacked his nephew back to reality. "Restrain yourself boy, remember you are a King!" King Orion berated Andy as he calmed down.
