Chapter 7

"Not so fast my children..."

That voice... I recognized it.

As if I'd know it for millions of years...

Alexander is the one to break the tension.

"Zeus"

My eyes immediately widened, my surprise was apparently evident to Alexander, as he immediately tried to comfort me.

*I'm sorry about this Agápi Mou, Zeus is very overbearing. He will be gone soon, please do not strain yourself*

"Zeus...." was all that I was able to mutter.

I was somehow not tired, but my heart and brain were in overdrive all at the same time.

"Father, why would you do something like that? I though-"

His father cut him off swiftly, with such rudeness that I was inclined to defend Alexander.

"I was testing your mate. She seems to be... very powerful. This is a concern I have to take up with Hades.

Now Sarina, would you like to meet your father god?"

His face was dangerous, as if he was just waiting for me to slip up. To do something that would deem me unworthy for his precious son.

"You don't have to do this, Agápi Mou-"

"SILENCE."

Zeus' voice rumbled through the room, igniting the air with electricity.

'I'm done with this'

I felt my powers deep in my core, as if I'd had control over them for centuries. I clenched my fist, concentrated on the electricity in the air, and made it fizz and crack until it was gone.

Zeus looked as if I'd surprised him, but also as if I'd... angered him?

Alex just looks unbothered, as if he feels he has no place to butt into my matters with his father.

"Now CHILD, do not mak-"

Just then another voice, much darker than Zeus', appears.

"ZEUUSS!"

The voice was angry in a way as if it had been betrayed.

Zeus, though he is king of the Gods, he is matched in power with the big three. At times of intense emotion even weaker than one of his brothers.

With this new presence I felt stronger, fortified almost.

Instead of clashing with my powers, they merged with them.

I immediately knew who it was, I had never been more excited or happy to see someone, let alone a God that I should be scared of.

"Father," is what came out of my mouth once I caught a sight of Hades.

"What a pleasant surprise, daughter"
