Chapter Ten: Hope again 2

Both couple were really made for each other.

"So then, what are we waiting for? Who knows what can happen in the next minute."

Debby said, more to herself.

"Relax. I still need to sort some things out."

Emmanuel replied his wife, whilst his fingers were fastly tapping the key board.

After some minutes, the couples and their envoys were on the road, heading to Jane's place.

The outskirts area was a place where people who ain't financially stable could stay, and it was a place filled with tranquility.

They never expect big people and never thought of seeing one, cause they believed, with wealth comes lots of enemies and problems.

But the sudden appearance of big three cars astonished them. They started murmuring, and soon the whole place was filled with the news of the big people arrival.

Jane and her grandmother were in the kitchen, enjoying their peaceful family time.

Still oblivious about the news going around the area.

"You seem to be in a good mood today dear." Mama Liya teased her.

Smiling sheepishly she responded,

" Am I? Well, I guess.

" I just thought about a lots of things and decided to be happy. That's the least I can do for myself I guess and you also."

"Oh my! Hahahaha that's good."

Mama Liya laughed heartily.

Jane joined her grandmother making the atmosphere merrier, until they heard a......

Knock.

Startled, both of them looked at each other, before Jane proceeded to opened the door, and immediately she slammed the door and ran back inside.

"What's wrong?"

Her grandmother frowned and asked.

Grasping, Jane said in between her breaths,

"It can't be...no way,,,,,,,why ... No, maybe something is wrong with my eyes."

Mama Liya frowned deeply. "Talk Jane..."

But was interrupted by the knocking of the door again and this time it was constant.

She then strode towards the door and opened it.

Her eyes widened. She was beyond shocked but managed to stay still and uttered sharply, "What do you want?"

"To mock me and my granddaughter right? Or, tell me cause you are not welcome here."

Debby rolled her eyes.

" Mama Liya, you shouldn't stress yourself too much. And on the contrary, we came to apologise to Jane and help her."

Mama Liya hissed and barked,

" Fools! Who do you think you can deceive here. I won't fall for your tricks this time, and I don't need your help, cause I don't know you.

"The day you turned my family apart, I already removed you from my family and forbid this idiot husband of yours!"

" As if this family is that special or what? Do you also think, I want to be in this family, and besides all the evils I did in this family was necessary.

"Killing your first son, well he deserved it for been too fortunate"

Debby thought and sneered.

Emmanuel cleared his throat.

" Mama Liya, we are not here because of any ill intentions. We know what we did was wrong, but we are ready to make amends now, so please gives us a second chance. Just a second chance, and we will set things straight. You'll see."

"Yes, Mama Liya, that's all we asked." Debby chirped in.

"You...... " Mama Liya pointed at them and exhaled loudly.

Jane standing at the corner, immediately came out and held her grandmother's arms.

" Don't stress yourself too much grandma. They don't worth it."

She was still mad at them for throwing hurtful words at her.

"Jane please, I know I said a lots of bad things, but am sorry. I realized my mistake now, and am ready to set things straight."

Debby begged with a pleading eyes and thought,

"Acting really suits me."

"Yes Jane. We are deeply sorry, and we will do anything to make things right. Just say it, anything. "

Emmanuel held his wife's hand and looked down.

Jane been the soft one immediatelyl fell for their acting.

" It okay. We are still family no matter what, so I forgive you."

Mama Liya looked at her granddaughter and sighed.

"It okay grandma."

She assured her.

"Come in." Jane faced the couple and gestured her left hand as a come in sign.

"So, we won't be long. We just want you to know that as from now on, all your living expenses will be on us, including your education and Mama Liya's health bills. It will all be on us, so you don't have to worry again. "

Emmanuel said gently with a serious gaze.

"Yes and just take that as an apology gift."

Debby smiled and added.

"Uhm"

Jane was short of words and fiddled with her fingers.

Mama Liya sighed again and stared at Jane.

"This is odd."

Debby exhaled. " I know it might sound strange, but we are for real. Because of the things we said and did, you might have a hard time trusting us, but that's okay, you guys should take your time."

Jane smiled. " Honestly, I really didn't expect this and am glad right now, or are not Mama Liya?"

She turned to face her grandmother.

Mama Liya suddenly beamed. " Sure, I am. I also didn't expect it, but I guess luck is also on our side my dear."

"Thank you aunty and uncle. "

Jane faced the couple and uttered with a deep sense of gratitude.

"Oh, it nothing please."

Debby replied her.

"Yes, this is what am suppose to do since all this years, but I neglected my duties. Am such a bad person."

Emmanuel uttered sadly.

Jane and Mama Liya just stared at them, with many waves of emotions dancing inside them.

"It okay. Past is past."

They both chorused..

Debby and Emmanuel stood up, and handed the two people still sitting down some bundles of cash and few provisions.

"We need to go now, and please manage that for us. We are really sorry once again."

Then, they left.

Jane jumped and screamed after they left, still not believing what just happened.

"This is all too good to be true!!!!"

She exclaimed excitedly.

"I know right." Mama liya clapped and smiled.

"Please Mama Liya, wake me up!" She begged.

"It is real my dear." Mama Liya chuckled and piped happily.

"Oh, my new good life!"

Jane squealed and can't stop trembling.

Mama Liya just shook her head.

" Now, now, dear. "

" Sorry grandma. Just got too excited."

Jane inhaled and tried to calm herself down but seems not to be working as her heart was still beating fast.

"I understand dear." Her grandmother responded to her and sat down.

Jane now thought, " Finally, hope again!!!" And she smiled.
