"Have you ever heard of Black Eyed Susan?" Her grandmother asked again. "No. "Why all these questions Mama Liya?" She raised her eye brows and stretched her neck. She wasn't in the mood to know about any flowers at all, not when they are more important things to face right now. "I guess you are dumb in some aspects hun." Mama Liya mocked. Jane just rolled her eyes. "Who in the world spent alot of times learning about flowers?" "People who are dumb like you." Her grandmother said sarcastically and laughed lightly. Chapter Eight:

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas went to welcome Mr. Nelson who just entered their mansion.

"Mr. Nelson, what a wonderful surprise!" Mr. Thomas greeted.

He suddenly wondered what brought Nelson Ebuka here for he knew that, he is a proud and hard to see person.

Mrs. Thomas joined her husband.

" Yes Mr. Nelson, it an honour, coming to our house personally."

Mr. Nelson sneered at their words.

"Yes, I happen to visit a friend around this area, so I thought of gracing you guys a visit too. That way, I can see how your mansion is, though it can't be compare to mine, but at least it is pleasing to the eyes."

"Ohh, that's explains it. Well, we are nothing when it comes to you, so it is normal for our mansion to be low compare to yours Mr. Nelson."

Mrs. Thomas said through gritted teeth.

She really felt like tearing Mr. Nelson into two for his stabbing words.

Just who does he think he is? Because he is the Senate president? Rubbish! She thought.

"Please, come in." Emmanuel said to clear the tensed atmosphere.

~~~~~~~~
"Firstly before anything, who was that girl outside your gate crying?"
Nelson Ebuka asked, still not able to get the thought of the little girl he saw, out of his head.
Debby Thomas frowned. "Which girl?"
She inquired back innocently, hoping for it not to be Jane.
Ebuka chuckled. " Don't play games with me Debby."
"Just one useless girl from no where." Emmanuel Thomas answered.
Ebuka hummed and at the same nodded.
"But why do you ask Mr Nelson, she is of no significance and root. " Emmanuel arched his right eye brow and asked.
He was somewhat confused and wanted to know why Ebuka was curious about Jane.
"I was just somehow curious about her and that's why I asked but it okay since you have explained it now."
He replied and cut it short, not wanting the couple to suspect anything.
Debby smiled. " Mr. Nelson, you are a big person in this country, so why should you be curious about a girl like that.
"I mean, it's strange and unexpected or are you somehow,,,,,,...... attracted to her? Ohh, I don't mean that please... Christ! Where are my manners! "
She tried to teased him annoyingly and also wanting to mock him a bit. She didn't really want to believe that Ebuka will fall for someone like Jane and not her own female children, who are more okay, even though they are out of the country.
"Anyway you put it ,I don't care!" Ebuka exclaimed annoyingly.
He really hate arguing with people below him like Debby. If not because of Jane, she won't have the gut to say all those words.
"Debby, mind your words please. Don't try and offend Mr. Nelson, or am sure you are aware of the consequences my dear."
Emmanuel reminded his wife
Debby just rolled her eyes. " Fine, fine."
Mr. Nelson stared at the couples with alot of thoughts going on in his head.
"So, Mr. Nelson , we discussed sometime ago about that 200 million contract. You haven't given me your conclusion."
Emmanuel said whilst sipping his vodka drink.
"Oh about that one, well it part of the reasons I came here. Initially, I wanted to cancel that contract but on a second thought now, I will not cancel it but give it to you. Only that, there will be a condition, if you are ready."
Ebuka gave a comeback calmly and relaxed.
"What condition ?" Emmanuel inquired, not liking the direction of the discussion.
Ebuka smiled mischievously.
" Get me that girl and I guarantee the contract will be yours.
"I don't know how you will, but I must have that girl. So, if you really value that contract , make sure you bring that ....... Name please ?"
He paused and questioned.
"Janet."
Emmanuel whispered.
"Good." Ebuka nodded his head and stood up heading towards the door.
After he left, Debby exhaled sharply.
"That man!"
She barked and clenched her fists.
Emmanuel gritted his teeth. " The nerve of him!"
"What are we going to do?" Debby asked.
Emmanuel replied,
" To be honest, I really don't know, but I guess we have to follow the condition he laid."
"No!" Debby retorted immediately and continued,
"I can't take that, over the hell of me!That little useless girl? No way!
"So, you mean we will go and meet her again, after we chased her or what? Or, are we going to kidnap her? "
"No, we are not doing that. I want her to meet Mr. Nelson on her free will. That way, things will really be easy."
Emmanuel said calmly.
"But why that? We are rich, and we can just kidnap her with no one knowing.
" Since we are rich, of course all traces will be wipe out and not to forget, that's way easy and less stressful."
Debby sat down and tried to convinced her husband.
"Debby! Sometimes, I wonder how airhead you can be, and what really goes on in that brain of yours. Can't you see that Ebuka is only trying to set a trap for us, and if we blindly fall into it, that's will be our doom. Don't forget he is more powerful and influential that us."
Emmanuel retorted angrily at his wife.
But seeing the confused look on his wife, he sighed and massaged his temple.
" The trap is, if we kidnap her, he is going to know, and we will be jailed for sure despite our connections.
"Even though, he said we should get her by any means, he didn't really mean it that way. But if we follow his words and act anyhow, I assure you Debby, me and you are going to spend the rest of our lives as a prisoner. And with that, our hardworks and wealth empire will be acquire by him. I hope you get it now."
Debby slumped on the coach with her mouth in an "o" shape.
She faced palm her self and hissed. " Why didn't I think of that earlier? Oh my, am so stupid."
Emmanuel chuckled at his wife's stupidity.
"Do you now want that? "
"No." she responded quickly.
Debby really wanted to kick her self for being so stupid and such a narrow thinker today, then she started to hate Ebuka the more.
"Good! So, drop your ego and let's think about our merits on this mission. Two hundred million is not a peanut you know, think of it."
He grinned.
Debby smiled and thought of the big incoming money.
She already started thinking of how she will patronize different big jewelries shops and stores, putting on trending cloths, shoes, and bags and showing off to her elites friends.
Oh what a blissful life!
