Third Day

Jin woke up early in the morning while the sky was still dark.

He looked to the side and saw their father snoring softly as he slept beside them, he also saw Tanya who was snoring like their father.

Jin smiled, 'Dad must've had a tiring day.'

Without making a sound, he got down the bed and went downstairs.

After eating some leftovers from yesterday, he hurriedly went to the mini library to read the Book of the Sun.

An hour or so later…

Jin was in a state of focus as he read the book with all his might.

The First Solar Sacrament consisted of about 30 pages, while the Second Solar Sacrament consisted of 50 pages.

He had only read and fully understood about 10 pages of the second sacrament recorded in the Book of the Sun.

'I'm close…' Jin thought as he read and analyzed each word in the book.

The reason why he's so determined in decrypting the technique of the Second Solar Sacrament was because unlike the First Solar Sacrament which he would be unable to use due to lack of aura, this would be of help to him.

Although he could recover from any injuries, his body was still too weak.

In order for his body to get stronger, he would need to train and in order to train, he needed stamina.

Stamina was what he was lacking in the most.

'If it really enables the believers to worship the sun from dawn until dusk… then this is exactly what I need…' Jin excitedly said in his heart.

And from the 10 pages that he had read and analyzed carefully, it seemed that this was really something that could help him.

He kept reading until the rays of the sun awoke him from his concentration.

'Oh, it's time to prepare…' Jin thought as he went to cook breakfast.

After he cooked, he went upstairs and saw both his sister and father sleeping.

He silently woke up his sister without disturbing their father's sleep and went downstairs to eat and prepared to leave afterwards.

Jin left a letter for their father telling him that they'd already left and that they left him some food to eat.

The siblings arrived at the Training Center and went to the training grounds where the other trainees were gathered.

They were now on the location where there were racks full of wooden weapons and training dummies.

"Mornin' trainees! As I have said on your first day, I'll be your instructor for your Weapon Proficiency Subject." Oswin spoke in front of the trainees.

The trainees each saw him as someone who looked unkempt, but at the same time, carefree.

He walked around as he spoke, "Now, I myself specialize in the art of the sword. However, rest assured for those who are thinking of training in other weapons such as spears, war axes, war hammers and other weapons as I can still provide guidance for them."

"I'm not really that good with words, so let's just get on with it." He then looked at the trainees and said, "Now, go to the weapon racks and pick a training weapon of your choice."

The trainees obeyed him and walked towards the weapon racks, each excitedly picking a weapon that they wanted.

However, some of the trainees still weren't sure of the weapon they wanted to pick.

Instructor Oswin noticed this and said, "For those who are still hesitating what weapon to pick, just pick a sword for now."

'Hmmm, what should I pick…' Jin thought as he looked at the weapon racks in front of him.

There were a variety of weapons like swords, spears, daggers, scythes, maces, and many more. There were also variations for each weapon.

For example in the sword section, there were different variants like rapiers, katanas, longswords, shortswords, greatswords with different shapes and others.

He turned his head and saw that his sister had already picked up a weapon.

It was a great sword with a wide blade with a length of over a meter which created quite the contrast with her small stature.

Jin expected it since it was similar to the sword she used when training with their father's Burning Sword Style.

Still, he found it quite funny since the sword was even taller than her.

He kept looking around and saw his "friend" Marco picking up two daggers.

As his eyes looked around, he came up with a decision and picked a longsword like the one on Instructor Oswin's waist.

Jim smirked as he went beside his little sister.

Tanya noticed the weapon in his hand and became confused.

After all, he was already good at the swordsmanship of the Burning Sword Style their father taught them.

She wondered why her brother picked up a longsword instead.

After a few more minutes, every trainee had already picked up a weapon of their choice.

They went to the open area of the training grounds without any training dummy or any equipment in sight.

At this point, Instructor Oswin said, "Before we get to swinging, slashing, thrusting or any of that stuff, we'll first start with the most basic aspect in mastering a weapon; Stance."

"Stance is the correct posture which will lower your chances of sustaining injuries while training. At the same time, it makes your training efficient."

Then, Instructor Oswin unsheathed the longsword on his waist as he spoke, "I'll start first with those who picked swords. First, stand with your feet shoulder-width apart. This provides a stable base and allows for proper weight distribution."

Instructor Oswin went on and on about the steps of achieving the perfect stance, as well as the benefits of each step.

As he finished explaining, he saw a white haired boy raising their hand.

"Yes, you. Any questions?"

Jin smiled excitedly as he asked, "Instructor, can you show us your swordsmanship?"

The children also whispered among themselves, curious about how strong their instructor really was.

Instructor Oswin widened his eyes in surprise before laughing, "Haha! Since you asked, then it would be rude not to show it to you."

It was very obvious how he wanted to show off his skills, making the children speechless.

"Alright then! Make sure to keep your eyes open. No matter how little you understand, it will still be beneficial to you."

The children could all feel the mood in the atmosphere turned strange as Instructor Oswin's eyes sharpened.
