Second Class

While observing Jin's expression, Leo chuckled and continued, "Like demon beasts, warriors, mages and priests were also divided into Trainee, Third Class, Second Class, and so on."

Then he looked at Jin's eyes, "You're asking me how strong I am, right?"

Jin gulped and nodded.

Holding up two fingers, Leo smiled proudly and said, "I'm a Second Class Warrior."

"Woahhh…" Jin widened his eyes. Since he had read books about demon beasts, he could also roughly imagine how strong they are.

Second Class Demon Beasts are those who not only had stronger physical bodies but also stronger magical capabilities.

Then it also meant that his father was very strong.

"T-Then I would like to be as strong as Father!" Jin said with excited eyes.

Facing his son, Leo shook his head, "No."

"Huh?" Jin was confused.

"You must strive to be stronger than me!" Leo said while smiling. He hugged his son tenderly.

However, one could see pain deep within Leo's eyes. He knew that if someone was born without, energy core and energy circuits, then it would be impossible for them to be a warrior, mage or a priest.

'Am I doing what is right? Is giving false hope to my son alright?' Leo wasn't sure, but he knew that giving Jin false hope was not good.

However, seeing his son's smile brought both joy and pain in Leo's heart.

Knowing that his body was weak, Jin trained harder than anyone else. He woke up earlier than anyone else and worked harder than anyone else.

There were even times where Leo was startled by Jin's perseverance and independence.

It was traits that a 6 year old would not normally have. Leo wondered just what was in his son's mind.

Unbeknownst to him, only one thing was in Jin's mind at that moment, 'I hope I could be as strong as Father one day! I'll make sure to work harder!'

'What would his expression be when he learned of this fact? Still, I want to see my son's happy smile.' That was all Leo wished.

To see his son's happy smile.

"Honey, you're back!"

"Bwothew, yoo awe so sewfiwsh! Let me hug Dad two!"

At this moment, Tiana and Tanya walked down the hair with sleepy expressions and messy hair.

The two of them resembled each other so much, making the father and son look at each other and giggle.

"Hey, Bwothew! What's so fwunny, huh? Gwoup huggg!" Tanya energetically ran towards them and beckoned her mother to quickly follow, "Mom, come, come! Hehehe~"

Tiana giggled and went to join their group hug.

2 years later…

Jin and Tanya were now 8 years old.

Haa~ Haa~ Haa~

Jin was currently running and exercising in their backyard.

It was convenient because their backyard was surrounded by trees, making the air fresh to breathe.

There would also be no people to disturb him so it helped with his peace of mind.

He had reach his limit long ago, making him breathe heavily with every step. Still, he didn't stop.

Jin was aware of how weak his body was. That was why he worked harder than any other person.

Plop!

Unable to bear the fatigue any longer, Jin lied on the ground while panting heavily.

He could see the moon and the stars that were still in the sky. It was about 3 in the morning when he started exercising.

Jin estimated that it had only been an hour and he was already exhausted.

Still, he was improving.

He started exercising when he was 5 years old. Normally, children would like to play games and pastimes.

However, he and his little sister were both mesmerized by their father's training figure.

As such, they liked training with their father

"Well, compared to when I was 5 where I can't even walk without panting, I've improved for sure." Jin said to himself while smiling brightly.

Then, he turned his attention to the glowing particles in the surroundings. He discovered a year ago that these particles were what his father called mana.

Jin also discovered that the glowing particles that seemed different from the ones in the surroundings were called aura.

Every living being has an aura and they would leave faint amounts of aura when moving from one place to another.

He further discovered that he seemed to be the only one who could do this. Furthermore, it seemed that this trait of his was being developed over time.

"However, this complicates things…" Jin remembered that moment 2 years ago where he saw faint amounts of aura in the window at the hallway.

Now, he was sure that there was a person there. Fortunately, that person seemed to have left shortly after that.

"A thief? Or a robber perhaps..?" Jin muttered to himself.

After a short while, he shook his head to chase away those unnecessary thoughts.

'Oh well, nothing much happened so let's stop thinking about it. Unless that person comes back…' Thought Jin as he strode over to the door.

His daily routine consists of waking up early, exercising, reading books, eating and the like. He also played with Tanya every now and then but she always liked playing outside.

Arriving at their mini library, Jin browsed for books to read. He could confidently say that he had read about 15 to 20 percent of the books here.

"Ahhh! That one!" Seeing the book with the title "Introduction to Worldly Energies", Jin's eyes lit up and hurriedly picked up the book.

It was on the second section of the bookshelf. Fortunately, his active and healthy lifestyle made him grow tall enough that he could reach it.

Unable to extricate himself from reading, he read for an hour or two, directly finishing the book in one sitting. It wasn't a thick book so Jin was able to read through it before his family woke up.

After an hour or two, he closed the book. However, the expression on his face was unreadable.

Sighing, he softly whispered to himself, "So that's how it is… I thought my only problem was my weak body. However, reality was crueler than I thought."

Such words that seemed to have experienced the cruelty of life could be heard from an 8 year old boy.

Jin's childish voice and the words he said made quite the contrast with each other.

He closed his eyes for a minute. However, one could faintly see a tear streaking across his cheek.
