24 [Take Flight]

//"Fear me, I have killed hundreds of Time Lords."

"Fear me... I've killed all of them."

Arguably one of the most unforgettable lines I have ever heard.

Sorry about the pause in updates but there was literally nothing I could do about that, wasn't home at all during these past few days, many apologies.

An often complaint I see is that Louise forgave Kirche too easily, and I have this to ask: Are you guys on crack? She hasn't forgiven her... yet. She agreed to tolerate her enough to not fucking argue over every little thing. Another complaint is that this shouldn't be a harem fic, bro, most of the FOZ plot REVOLVES around harem! Ordell can very well just save Siesta out of his own goodwill and not make any romance out of it... but that's just a waste at that point in my opinion. I do harems because I like women, I like waifus and I don't wanna make a separate book for all of them.

Also, I may or may not be high while writing this so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯//

================================================================

"Master! Emergency meeting!"

Louise was practically swept off her feet, or rather, her butt. She'd been sitting down by the library, silently waiting for her familiar to return with the food he's promised, even if quiche wasn't actually a sweet dish like he previously thought (my bad~). However, a little over ten minutes later he had come running, his white coat blowing in the wind as he didn't slow down at all to pick up the shortstack pinkette.

Louise yelped and screamed lightly, a reasonable reaction to someone pulling you into their arms and sprinting away fast as the wind. Ordell carried her in his arms like a princess, but the sweet notion was lost on both of them as their minds were on two completely different things. Louise was... well, BEYOND confused and surprised by her familiar's actions while Ordell's mind was a mess of half-formulated plans to save Siesta from her servitude to a lecherous lord.

"W-What are you doing?!"

But Ordell grunted in response, he had been running towards the first place he knew he and his master could have privacy, and that place turned out to be none other than Louise's own room. Coming towards the stone tower, he didn't have time to use the stairs. So, instead, he ran up the side of it by kicking his feet into the stone-made wall like a blonde fabulous vampire.

Coming up to the window ledge took no time at all, although quite a few passersby couldn't help but wonder where the holes in one of the towers came from. Perching on the ledge for just a second before pushing open the window and gently throwing Louise inside, onto her feet of course.

"What is wrong with you?!" Louise's voice shrieked throughout her empty room, clearly surprised, confused and slightly terrified of the rollercoaster that was just forced upon her.

"Master..."

Ordell's cold, serious tone all but shut her other thoughts away. Not once had she seen him so deadly serious, not once had she seen such malice in the otherwise warm, crimson eyes of her familiar. The sight and the feeling alone told her volumes of what atrocious events had to transpire before this man accumulated so much turmoil.

"Please... tell me everything you know about Count Jules de Mott," Ordell's request... confused Louise, to say the least.

Why would he of all people be interested in someone like that? Was that noble the one responsible for Ordell's odd, uncharacteristic behaviour? And if so, what the hell did he do?!

"W-Why?"

"Do you recall the duel between me and Guiche? More specifically, the maid that he had wanted to blame for his own inability to handle multiple women at once?" trying to ignore the hidden message in those words, Louise thought back to the rather warm and pretty maid that first instigated the engagement between her familiar and the blonde mage.

"Oh! Of course, I do! This has something to do with her, doesn't it?"

"...Yeah, unfortunately, it does."

Louise thought back to the other person Ordell mentioned, that person is... Count Mott. Her eyes widened in surprise and realisation once she pieced the information together. A noble of lecherous desires and a well-endowed female servant just spelt a bad future for the latter party involved. Louise wanted to feel jealous, she thought it was only right she would. But, really, she couldn't really blame Ordell for trying to save the poor maid from her fate. After all, being Count Mott's bitch really is not something she wished upon anyone, not even that top-heavy Germanian girl.

"...Count Mott isn't someone we can really go against though..." Louise's tone was down, a little sad for having to ruin her familiar's need to be the hero.

"Why?"

"Because he's the Royal Palace's messenger, even if his standing is lower than my family's, his connection to the Palace outweigh that."

Silence reigned over the master and her familiar. It was an uncomfortable, electric silence that made Louise's gut do twists and turns. She didn't like it. She didn't like the silence and the fact she couldn't do anything. Louise doesn't dislike Siesta, even if the maid was quite obviously swooned over by Ordell's charm. Even if she doesn't like to admit it sometimes, as can be the case with her blasted headstrong personality, Louise is a good person. And as a good person, her morals screamed profanities at her conscience for even allowing such an innocent girl like Siesta to be taken by a perverted pig, like Count Mott.

"Master... I have a favour to ask of you. A very big favour..."

Louise should have liked the sound of that, to finally be able to do something for her familiar, but she hardly did. She suspected what the request might entail, and as much as she wanted to go with it... could she really?

"Give me the order to rescue Siesta. Please."

"...How are you going to do that? You can't go against Count Mott directly, he'll have us both executed for treason!"

Ordell looked directly into Louise's desperate eyes with a strangely ominous but reassuring look, "Don't worry, Louise, I... have a plan."

"And that is?"

A brief moment of quiet silence passed over them, Louise impatiently waiting to hear Ordell's plan. She wanted to save as many women from that bastard's clutches as she could, unfortunately, even if she was technically on good terms with the princess, her word against the palace messenger might not even be worth considering.

Louise's breath hitched lightly when Ordell walked close to her and leaned down, she almost thought he was going to kiss her, but he didn't, instead, he looked right into her eyes, "...Do you trust me, Louise?"

"Yes."

There was nought a shred of hesitation in her voice, her answer coming not a millisecond too late after Ordell's words were uttered. She did, she trusted him with her life, such is the familiar bond the two shared, something that should be the norm for every master and their familiar.

"Then please..."

Much to Louise's surprise and confusion, the male walked back a little before turning around, took off Derflinger and placed him against the wall, showing his back to her. On the white trench coat, the male so iconically wore, a bright, glowing mark appeared. It was a ring, and to it were six wings, three on each side.

"Undo this lock, and send me forth... on a moonlit walk..."

Louise understood the hidden meaning behind the familiar's words. The lock symbolised the tattoo on his back that restrained his power, and the moonlit walk was, at least she thought, a sort of way for Ordell to say that the next action he takes will not see the light of day. A wise man once said; "The sun watches what I do, but the moon knows all my secrets.", Louise didn't know if Ordell was aware of this saying, but the meaning was still there.

The indecisive pinkette bit into her lip, she really wanted to let Ordell loose, but she couldn't afford to cause trouble for her family and familiar! Anything Ordell does is reflected on her, and so, whatever drastic measures he was willing to take just to save a maid girl's life could not be allowed to take place.

"I-I... I can't-"

"Master... please, believe in me."

...Could she really? Her familiar's power is vast, but he can't just fight Count Mott head-on... that will lead to an uproar in the royal palace, even the royalty themselves could get involved!

"If I... give you the order, will you tell me what you have planned before you do it?"

Ordell was silent for only a second before giving his answer, "Of course."

"...Okay then. Please... don't do anything stupid."

"I won't."

"Phew... okay... here we go."

Louise took a deep breath as if preparing for some manner of an incantation when all she needed to do was give Ordell her command and he'd execute it immediately. Still, theatrics were half the fun of being a mage, and Louise wanted to further appeal to her prowess.

"I, Louise Françoise le Blanc de la Vallière, command you... my familiar..."

As the words slowly but loudly crawled out of her mouth, the tattoo on Ordell's back intensified in its white glow, before that glow turned into an ominous, jet-black mist with white outlines. Still, Louise would not stop.

"I order you to go forth, and do as my will dictates..."

The strange, fog-like energy began to take shape. The tattoos on Ordell's black became larger, and larger until the black wings detached themselves almost completely from his body. The ring disappeared completely, and the six wings began to take their true form.

"Against my foes, against the evil and the might of my enemies..."

The black wings burst forth into their true glory, jet-black feathers lining their large, human-sized form. They reflected barely any light whatsoever, having an ominous and dark appearance equal to that of coal. Black feathers gently floated across the room, swaying from side to side as they gently touched the ground and disappeared in a brief puff of smoke.

"...I will send onto them..."

Louise spoke like she was in a trance as Ordell began to slowly turn around, his large black wings nearly knocking down the furniture in the room as they brushed against the wooden closets and drawers.

"...Only you..."

Louise's eyes became hollow, missing their former, life-filled glow that Ordell commonly associated with his master's beautiful pupils. Any emotion was gone from her voice and face, leaving behind a stone-cold stare that was directed straight into Ordell's own, eerily crimson glowing red eyes.

...

...

...

"...Rip and tear... until it is done."

================================================================

//I know Louise technically didn't have this whole "in a trance" scene until she was sort of mind-controlled in episode 11 but I just had to do it. Think of the "in a trance" kind of Louise as a "fight or flight" response to great stress, or a state of mind where she gets tunnel vision and pretty much forces all other thoughts to the side. Also I once again forgot about the damn sword while writing this so I'm sorry if there's little Derflinger dialogue.

Also are lewds illegal in the comments?//
