21 Chapter 21: Infinity stones

Seeing the red wall of flames, I made a tower shield using Earth and Fire-resistance trees combined with Vajra strengthening to block the hot temperature of the flame. Unlike me, the soldier and the Tank only used the Vajra skill that has already been imbued to them to block this attack.

Although my plant army can only use Vajra, the protective shell of their epidermis is strong enough to block this flame attack. After the flame dissipates, the soldiers and the spider tanks start their counter-attacks as many bullets and cannon shells drill into the skin and flesh of Hydra.

As the white/light elemental head starts to heal the wound of the remaining 2 heads, the Earth elemental heads start to defend the white and black head behind it from further attack. Although cannon from the tank is no longer shot out from the back, there are still dozens of small bullets from the soldier that is enough to injure all heads with the exception of the yellow head.

Seeing this situation, I don't want to continue destroying the heads of this Hydra as I want to have some samples remaining later. As for the three destroyed heads? They still have some of their necks for me to get their skill. Other than that, their skill is not as important as the white and black head.

"Alice! Let the tanks reload their cannon for an emergency measure while a part of the soldier advances and tries to capture the Hydra!"

The army does as it instructed to be as the 60 soldiers of melee and ranged type get closer to the hydra. The soldier moves quite fast with its 6 legs in this terrain as they come closer to the Hydra. Of course, these moves will not be unnoticed by the Hydra.

Seeing the army trying to capture it. The Hydra shows more anger in his three pairs of eyes as I can see that the Earth bites into one soldier and immediately destroys it with his teeth.

A crisp sound comes out from the destroyed melee soldier who became the yellow head snacks. Despite most of its body parts destroyed, the plant soldier still tries to damage the soft part of the mouth of Hydra.

Of course, He immediately spits it out with a very disgusted expression as He stared at me with anger. This is not because of the soldier that is still capable of injuring the Hydra in almost-dead situations but due to the fact that my soldiers are basically a plant.

I could feel the hydra's irritations as it probably vows to never eat my soldier and tank anymore in his entire life that will end soon. On the other hand, the dark elemental Head starts to use an illusion to me as He can see me being the commander or the leader of the group of plants.

I can feel a wave of mana start entering a part of my brain before it is being dispelled from my natural interference and resistances. This is the basic mechanism of many illusions, genjutsu, or any mind-controlling technique and magics.

"Chuckle… Trying illusions on me? Muda da! After all, I have resistance toward... No! As a holder of the famed kekkei genkai dojutsu Sharingan, your genjutsu is futile! Now, taste my counterattack!"

"Dojutsu: Mangekyou Sharingan! [Sekka no shisen]!" (petrification gaze)

I shouted with my second graded illness coming back to me as I feel that I can no longer do this once I go out of this dungeon. With no one watching, I use my [Multi Camouflage] skill to change the color of my eyes to become red with a black radiation symbol pinwheel in the center.

With my Mangekyou abilities that I obtained from my dear basilisk, I turn some part of the black/dark elemental head of hydra into stone as I move my gaze down to petrify one of its limbs, sealing its movement.

This is why fighting monsters is more fun than fighting humans. When dueling humans with my sword in Japan, I can only shut my mouth if I don't want my opponent to get a hand on me. As for monsters who don't know what the hell are you saying? It will serve as a distraction for it instead sometimes!

With me sealing its movement, the hydra can only stand helplessly as more melee soldiers climb its body and pierce its skin with an electric conductor spear that electrocuted him. Seeing it being trapped helplessly like that, He could only roar in anger.

"Looks like I finished here huh? Alice starts preparing to dissect the monster!"

After I command Alice, I turn my back to look at the recording of this battle which will be helpful for analysis. However, just before I start to do that...

Alice's desperate voice sounded out. As I wondered what was up, my line of sight finally focussed on the big white laser of light that decimated half of the tank immediately. From the Hydra's still available 3 heads rose a fourth head that gazes at the remains of what was known as my spider tanks.

My eyes open wide at that. 'How come? Shouldn't the seventh head only come after the 6 heads are eliminated or chopped off? Is it because it feels dangerous to its life?'

The seventh silver head shifted its gaze to me and it let loose an aurora without any preparations. Like a railgun artillery shot, the aurora shot towards my position in an instant. The aurora is stronger than the flame attacks before, without any defensive measure, I can't say for sure I can survive from that.

With my inhumane reaction time, I immediately make a shield out of the earth with many metallic elements from the ground as I strengthen it in Vajra.

The aurora light struck my shield as the particle momentum and kinetic energy is transferred to my shield and me. The result of this is me being pushed off for around 5 meters before the aurora ends.

Seeing the aurora that it is very proud of being blocked, the silver head roared in dissatisfaction as He changed his target to other plant soldiers around me.

However, I can never allow that "Alice, prepare the spider tank to use the Dark Gaol bomb(DGB)!"

The bomb hits its target after being shot out from the electromagnetic catapult that the spider tank has. The bomb explodes as soon as it hits the target and produces a bunch of black smoke from the center of explosions. While it looks like a smoke bomb at a glance, it was not as non-lethal as that!

This bomb is called the DGB shell or sometimes I call it Dr. Stone bomb. This bomb is based on a high-ranking earth spell called [Dark Gaol] that spreads a cloud of smoke that petrifies anything it touches.

The bombs will explode upon any surface contact and spread this petrifying smoke. As long as any part of a living being is hit by the smoke, it would slowly spread until they are completely petrified. The only way to stop it is to put up a barrier strong enough to repel it or blow the smoke away before it touches anyone.

However, only a high-rank barrier would be able to hold it off. Furthermore, it requires an extremely powerful wind spell to be dislodged. As for the remaining head of Hydra? The wind elemental head has long been dead while it can't create a barrier of any sorts to block this.

Of course, there is a disadvantage to these bombs and petrification smokes! It can only petrify up to 10 cm deep of its skin. Furthermore, it is also weak to Nital or an industrial etching solution usually used to reveal the microstructure of carbon steels.

Here, Nital can be used to trigger the depetrification of the petrified living being. It is normally made from nitric acid and alcohol, usually methanol, ethanol, or methylated spirits.

While it being a disadvantage, it can also become an advantage as it can be used to capture a monster like this without worrying about it being petrified completely like the one using the petrification gaze.

In the end, after the smoke subsided, what remained was a stone statue of 4 headed hydra with a wave of anger mixed with a disbelieving expression on its faces. Truly a work of art…

With the stone statue being left to the plant soldier to work out and extracted, I enter the 3 meters tall gate toward the abode of the one once called Oscar Orcus.

After entering the gate, Kentarou is greeted with a different environment than the previous dark and damp dungeon. First, the sunlight had entered his eye. It wasn't real because He was underground. There was a globe that had its cone-shaped body connected to the ceiling, and it was floating there shining. He felt slightly warm because it didn't feel artificial like fluorescent lights.

'Is this the fake sun that Oscar Orcus created? I remember it being a work between gravity, time, and space magic. I should try to research it too while being here'

Next, the pleasing sounds of water entered his ears. To the back of the room was a door that led to a small-sized stadium. In the back wall of this room was a waterfall. A large quantity of water ran down that wall from the ceiling and joined the river to flow into the back cave.

The cool wind full of negative ions from the possible electromagnetic field that blew from the waterfall provided a good feeling. When he took a closer look at the water, there were different kinds of fish swimming there. Possibly the fish flowed in from a terrestrial river.

Some distance from the river, there was a big field. Nothing seems to be planted there right now…it spread throughout the surrounding area. It could be an animal pen. There was no sign of animals, but there were resources here to be self-sufficient. Lots of varieties of plants grew around here too which I immediately analyzed.

The construction felt like processed rock and it wasn't for dwelling. There is also a stone house with white color and lime texture. In the entrance, there was a light sphere that was at the tip of a pedestal projecting from the ceiling. There seemed to be 3 stories, and there seemed to be an atrium at the top.

'Looks like that's where I should go…'

First, He looks at the ground floor. He discovered a fireplace, soft carpet, living area with a sofa, a kitchen, and restroom. No signs pointed to the idea that these items had been neglected for years. There was no sign of life. However, although people did not live here, it was still being maintained…

'Probably the robots that Oscar created or some kind of artifacts.'

Here, Kentarou also found a bathing pool in this huge place, and a sculpture of a lion was enshrined in deep water there. Next to the sculpture was a magic formation. The lion will pour water when magic is supplied to the magic formation.

When He opened the door into the interior, there was a 7-8 m wide exquisite and delicate magic formation engraved on the floor in the center of the room; the design was something He had never seen before. A rather splendid geometric patterned formation and it looked like art.

However, something else was more noteworthy. On the other side of the magic formation was a figure sitting in a regal chair. The figure was Oscar Orcus's corpse. The creator of this dungeon and one of the leaders of Liberator. It had already been skeletonized and there was a stunning black robe embroidered with gold on its body. There was not a single stain on it as it seems to have self-cleaning magic imbued in it.

Kentarou stepped forward towards the magic formation. The moment he stepped into the center of the magic formation, a snow-white light flashes suddenly and the room is dyed with the light. Something invaded his head immediately after, and he went through the time he fell into the abyss like a revolving lantern.

The light soon settled and Kentarou opened his eyes; in front of his eyes…was a young man in black clothing.

Oscar Orcus then tell me the story about Liberators and bla bla bla….how they want to fuck god but get fucked up instead…

With that, Kentarou finally got one of the infinity stones, the reality stone (creation magic) that governs over any inorganic substances. I need to collect the remaining power stone (gravity magic) Space stone (spatial magic), Time stone (restoration magic), Mind stone (metamorphosis magic), soul stone (spirit magic), and finally, the one that combined and make them more powerful, the infinity gloves (evolution magic)!

With all stones combined, He can get the power of wishing, the power of God, and even the ability to kill half of the universe in a single snap of a finger (concept magic)...

Ahem… forgetting the similarity between the two works, our protagonist Kentarou continues his adventure as he strips down the corpse in front of him…
