22 Chapter 22: Fighter Jet
Half a month has passed from the time I capture and experiment with the Hydra. This is around 1 and a half months since the start of my journey in this dungeon. With Hajime coming in half a month, I will leave today since I think it is better to not have any interactions with him as that will just waste my time.
Fortunately, the Hydra in the boss room is capable of respawning after a week. This saved me the time for making a new boss for Hajime. Though, it can only spawn for new adventurers who have never beat the hydra before from what the magic circle tells me after I analyze it.
Although it's a shame I can't just farm the hydra, with this 1.5 month in the dungeon, my status has improved a lot from the past.

Although level being ??? is okay, my stats being stuck at 5 digits of 99999 makes me wonder whether this is my biological limit or it is the limit of a status plate? I will try to create a new one later once I get another age of god magic to test it.
The most eye-catching new skill I get is probably [perfect transmutation]. I got this skill unexpectedly when trying to test whether devil fruit extraction can work on bones and it is! With this revelation, I probably need to find another graveyard in the future. Although it is a bit immoral, I just take a bit of the DNA and the bones will remain so I think it is okay.
After all, there is a chance I got another age of god magic besides the 7 one from the labyrinth! Looks like the Shinobi world is not the only world where it is not safe to leave your corpse in the open...
Anyway, these past half months have been a constant study and experiment for me. The topic is of course my new skills [Creation Magic] which trigger my farmer skill to let me get [Seed Creation] skill. This skill can be said to remove my previous limitation on not being able to make seeds for a custom plant I create such as spider tank, 3 types of soldiers, and even the devil fruit!
What happens when I need more tanks? Just plant! Need more soldiers? Just plant more! Need a house, base, or building? Just planting and a wooden house will be done faster than any constructor in my previous world can!
Of course, the most overpowered is actually the ability to create my previously created devil fruit since that means I can create a bunch of non-white-haired Hajime every time I want to. Of course, I will not do that as it will mess up the world.
Anyway, besides experimenting with my newly gained skills, I also improve my army weaknesses. There are many weaknesses I found in my plant army after the battle with the Hydra.
First, the problem of defense. The defense of my plant with vajra is already considered to be strong as even the monster here that is dubbed as the hardest labyrinth can no longer pierce it. However, it is not enough when facing those angles and even Ehit since even a hydra can bite it with its teeth. However, I still currently don't know how to improve them and thus can only improve other aspects of the plant.
Second, the aspect of agility. The current speed for soldiers is around the speed of this world horse running at full speed or around a motorcycle speed on Earth. However, it is just raw speed as they are not agile or have the high acceleration to dodge incoming attacks. I successfully improved a bit on this aspect by giving more plant muscle fiber to the joint for rapid movement and dodging. Tough, I still work on the progress for another most important aspect for my army that I urgently need.
Lastly and the most important, the Air force! The existence of these forces has been neglected by me since you can't really fly inside a dungeon with a low floor. Furthermore, without gravity magic like Hajime, developing an air force will significantly increase the time required for the experiment. However, with the thinking that I will shorten the distances of travel with air travel anyway, I begin the start of the Fighter Jet project.
In the development of the Fighter jet, the first thing I will invent will of course be the jet engine first. This is the core of the aircraft and can also be used in many different fields such as the creation of missiles or even when planning to create a flying plant soldier/robot.
Anyway, there are two different routes that I can take in developing the jet engine, the gas combustion propulsion route or the electromagnetic propulsion route. In the gas combustion propulsion route, I can easily do that as there is already a previous example from Earth. Since I already remembered the mechanical scheme of jet engines from the internet, this will only involve small changes from mechanical to plant and magic. On the other hand, if I choose electromagnetic propulsion like an ion engine, I will need to do more experiments and trials.
In the end, I chose to create the ion engine from the electromagnetic propulsion route. There are several reasons for this as there is a limitation to the gas combustion propulsion route. The most severe limitation is the fact that a gas combustion engine like a jet engine on Earth will produce lots of heat. This is very detrimental in an environment such as underwater where it will not work or space where there is no place to throw away the excess heat/thermal energy.
Another limitation is the fact that gas combustion engines need to have a container that can resist high temperatures. This will make material become the limitation on the power of this type of engine.
Other than that, this limitation also makes engines to be bulky or big making them unsuitable for creating small thrusters for a human-sized robot or other flying machines. Since I would later build some kind of ironman suit, making it beforehand will save me some time.
With the engine successfully created, I started to design the fighter aircraft I want. Of course, I separated them into two types: manned and unmanned. The first change I created is the fact that I make the fighter aircraft to be a forward-swept wings aircraft.
Normal fighter aircraft will use backward-swept wings with a huge angle to make it able to enter supersonic speed (speed faster than the speed of sound). Forward-swept wings can also do the same as the airflow will be flowed to the inside instead of outside like backward-swept wings aircraft when entering supersonic.
Forward-swept wings also have other advantages such as making the aircraft more aerodynamic, making it faster. This shape of wings also makes it more maneuverable as when it turns, the forward-swept wings will gain more air resistance to achieve a sharper turn than backward-swept wings.
Hence, why don't Earth fighter aircraft don't use this type of wing? The answer is a material constraint. The German already tried this type of wings in WW2 and failed since the material of that time and even the current time are unable to handle the stress required when achieving a sharp turn during flight.
Of course, this problem is not for me since as my plant absorbs more and more kinds of Ore types in this dungeon, its hardness has already reached an unimaginable degree! The hardness and strength are already a bit stronger than Azanthium ore which is the hardest ore in Tortus.
With the wings finished, I continue with other parts of the frame such as the landing gear system, cockpit, and the location of many parts such as where should I put the magic stone, etc.
Of course, the fuel of this aircraft is decided to be solar power that is converted into mana by my plant. The solar conversion into mana from my plant reaches a staggering 99.99% which is higher than many commercial solar panels with only a 15-22% efficiency ratio.
This also helps me a lot when I use [Plant Hybridization] to make my skin photosynthesize and regenerate my mana. Although it is not to the point of having infinite mana, it is still a large amount of mana.
I then continued with the radar or detection system. This part is a bit easy as I just make a plant that has my skill [Multi Variable Detection] and connect it to the monitor to display it. It is a bit of a shame as I don't have the time to create a holographic projection to give a 3D model for enemy locations.
Next is the communications system. I used my new skill [Telepathic Communication] from an insect-like monster as a basis for my next communication system. This telepathic communication works on the principle of quantum entanglement between different minds.
In a way, it is a kind of quantum communication! This means there is no way to hack and eavesdrop on it, although it can be disabled and jammed...
Other than that, I also need a weapon system which is a very important part of this aircraft. The main gun will be an electromagnetic cannon and two gauss minigun at the side. I also put some new type weapons, missiles with ion engines as propulsion. There are four kinds, for now, such as HE(high-explosive) missile, Napalm missile, Dark Gaol Missile, and finally, burrowing missiles. The last one is designed carefully for a fortress and underground bunker as the missile will burrow underground before exploding
It takes a long 10 days for the creation of this aircraft which is more advanced than the current Earth technologies. I even built a wind tunnel to test the performance of this aircraft and to determine the best shape for its aerodynamics. This allows me to make the aircraft achieve Mach 7.2 or around 7 times the speed of sound.
I also at first want to make it a VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing) aircraft. However, this will take more time for me to experiment and test. But with gravity magic later, I will just make an anti-gravity engine to make a VTOL anyway, and researching it now is just a waste of time.
Since It is not a VTOL, it needs to have enough speed for takeoff and of course, the need for a landing path or airport. With the idea that I will not always have one ready for me, I created a kind of aircraft launcher using the principle of electromagnetic catapult. Since I just need to modify the catapult to be bigger and capable of launching an aircraft to the speed for takeoff, it doesn't really take much time to create it.
Finally, after 15 days in this lair of Orcus, I am ready to leave this dungeon. Except for researching, the rest of my time is spent preparing my luggage and taking some treasures I like, for example, the [treasure box] or storage ring.
I initially plan on leaving that storage ring for Hajime since there is only one but Nah... He will find his own way for his luggage. I still don't have any storage method after all, with one ready in front of me and with me being the first here I of course get the opportunity to get it. After all, The first come first serve!
