Chapter 2- A Thick Fog

I walk into the control room of the

S.S. Treasure. I walk over and grab the speaker and yell to my small crew, "Alright! Sam! Unhook us from the dock! Fin! Check on our sonar, make sure it's still functional! Rika! Get in here and get on the map, I want to start at where we left off."

I put the speaker down and grab the radio as Rika walks through the door, i high-five her as she passes going below Deck.

I found Rika in a bar I went to, she was looking for work so I asked her if she had Heard of Rapture. She said she had and also said she wished that she could be the one to find it

So I told her that was looking for it and the rest is history.

I click on radio,

"This is the S.S. Treasure to dock control."

It only takes a second for them to respond. "We hear you loud and clear Treasure"

I smile as I respond

"we're heading out again, I request you open the dock gate"

"Understood Treasure, going hunting again?"

"You know it, I'm not one to give up easy"

I hear a small laugh over the radio

"Understood treasure opening the gate, there's a fog warning today so be careful out there."

I look to the left of the dock to see the gate slowly opening. I look to the front of the ship to see Fin helping Sam getting the last rope off.

I meet Fin by one of my good friends, he recommended Fin to. A navy man who was kicked out for f##king the captain's wife he's actually really trusting and reliable. He's specialized in sonar which makes finding the city actually possible

Then there's Sam. Oh god Sam. He's a larger fellow with a heart of gold. He's also the original owner of the S.S. Treasure. I bought it from him and when he figured out what I was going to use it for he asked if he could help. He's a sailor at heart and a fisherman by nature.

I turn the key and our ship starts spinning to life. I slowly pull it out and through the open gate, Fin walks into the cabin and goes below deck with Rika, then Sam enters and sits in a chair on the other side of the room.

We slowly leave the dock and head out to open waters in the deep fog of the ocean….
