11 Change

A month slowly passed

Elizabeth was sitting in a chair watching TV, when an arm shot through the cocoon and ripped the rest of it to pieces. She looked over and saw Kane.

Kane stood up from the bed, still covered in Venom but there was a change.

His forearms were purple and ended in flame-like patterns just below his elbow and the symbol on his chest changed to a white skull, with teardrop eyes, and curved horns. 4 lines coming out of the skull, 2 going over his shoulders and 2 going under his ribs, connecting to the same symbol on his back.

Venom was also significantly less bulky and wrapped around Kane's body. He still had a large, sharp toothed, mouth though.

Venom receded his head and revealed Kane's face and neck. Kane passed right by Elizabeth and looked in a mirror. His face hadn't changed much, if anything his features were sharper and he looked more mature. His hair was medium length and black, his eyebrows were like swords and black, but his, previously black, eyes were now a dark gold color.

His face was flawless and smooth, with the only exception being the black 'SS-001' on his neck.

Kane looked at himself and said "Who are you really." Elizabeth looked over and said "Elizabeth. I don't have any connections to the people you think I do." Kane nodded and said "Good. You're in. Clean this place up..." Venom covered his face again and Kane added "We're done playing Hero."

A while later

Kane was standing on a building and said "You got him?" Venom said "When I came out, I left a bit of us on him, just in case. I can feel him, he's very far." Kane was cold as ice as he said "We're going after him, unless I torture and kill him myself, I won't sleep. Let's see how far, this rat can run."

He suddenly disappeared.

A few days later

Kane landed in front of a destroyed building with a Hydra symbol on it. Venom said "He's here." Kane was silent and walked inside to see Keith working on something inside, Kane didn't say anything this time and formed giant metal arms before grabbing Keith and slamming him on the ground.

The metal liquified and covered Keith completely. Kane formed a giant axe and slammed down on Keith's legs, getting screams of pain in response. Kane said "Time to die, rat." Keith snarled "You can't kill me!"

Kane sneered "Watch me." as he put his hand on Keith's chest and the purple on Venom lit up, searing Keith's skin, Kane listened to Keith's screams and muttered "Noisy." the liquified metal gathered in Kane's palm and he shoved his hand in Keith's mouth before repelling it all inside, filling Keith's neck and bringing him unimaginable pain.

Kane took his hand back and wiped it on Keith's shirt as he said "Good bye, rat." his arm turning into a spike and Kane pierced Keith's head, killing him completely. Kane chopped his head off and ate it before forming axes and chopping up the rest of him and throwing him in a hole before filling the hole with liquified metal.

Kane repelled all the metal off him and turned around, going back to his base.

A few more days later

Kane returned to the base and dismantled it completely. He took everything that was salvageable with him and left with Elizabeth. Keith hopped from from buildings carrying Elizabeth in one arm, and the dozens of boxes behind him, strapped to Venom's tendrils.

Kane found a small abandoned building, near the city, and walked inside. Kane looked around and saw a basement, it was decent size, but not big enough. Kane muttered "It'll work.." he let Elizabeth go and she smoothed out her clothes saying "Jeez, take me to dinner first.."

Kane ignored her and punched the ground, breaking the floor and revealing the dirt below. Kane thought to himself before putting everything down and saying "Go get food and chocolate." Elizabeth complained "Do I look like a maid?"

Kane replied "No, but I need to work and if you don't go get food, we will starve. I'm grateful you told the rest what happened and taking care of me, but honestly. We are not close, I barely know you and the things that I do know, aren't good. So make yourself useful for now and get food so we can eat. If you can't do this, then leave. I'm done playing around, do you understand?"

Elizabeth was startled and frowned before leaving, Kane watched her go. Whether she came back was of no consequence to him, he didn't know if she did leave or not, but he didn't care. There was a tiny part of him that didn't want her to leave, however it was drowned by the rest.

A while later

Elizabeth did, in fact, come back with food. Kane was honestly surprised and he said "You came back." Elizabeth looked at him and nodded, Kane assumed she was angry and said nothing. They had dinner and Kane got back to work.

Kane and Elizabeth were untraceable. Nobody could find them, not Tony, not Shield, not even some others watching Kane in secret.

Kane didn't know who was watching him but he was a human. A learning creature. After what happened last time, he realized his mistake. Because of his pride and arrogance, he was tortured and almost turned into a mindless slave. Well, never again. In his heart, he didn't really blame anyone other than himself, the argument could be made that if Tony hadn't interfered in the beginning then Keith would've been dead a long time ago.

But also, it could be said, had Tony not come to the base then he would probably be controlled by now and live a life worse than death. If Kane was being honest with himself, he was to blame for what happened to him, he stopped using his brain because he considered himself strong enough to handle anything, a severe miscalculation.

Also, if he had just killed Keith at the beginning, he would've solved all the problems a while ago. In reality, Kane was honestly not to blame for his mistakes and softness towards enemies because at the end of the day, he was still just a 17 year old kid. He was barely an adult but he had come into contact with huge problems.

No matter how smart he was, he couldn't magically become more mature overnight, he learned from mistakes just like everyone else.

Just like this a few more months passed

Kane was oblivious to the changes outside and reformed the entire underground base, he expanded, added rooms, and installed all the tech he had salvaged from the previous base. He also upgraded Megan and restructured his workshop. Soon enough, everything back and better than before.

Kane and Elizabeth got a little closer from the constant contact but Kane always had a wall up, it wasn't just her. Everyone got the same treatment, excluding Venom. Kane only really considered Venom as his friend, the rest were just acquaintances.

Currently

Elizabeth was sitting on the couch watching TV and Kane was sitting next to her, with his goggles on saying "Megan, notify Chazz, Reiner, and Angel of the new base location along with a message saying continue operations as usual and if they have to come here, make 100% sure they aren't followed. Also have you gotten into the internet around here yet?"

Megan replied "Done~ Annnd Yup! Ghost mode?" Kane answered "At all times." Megan hummed "Okay~" Elizabeth said "All the time?" Kane lifted his goggles and said "Of course. If not then the same thing will happen again. I'm not putting myself..." he paused for a moment before continuing "Us, in danger."

Elizabeth raised a brow and said "Us?" Kane nodded and stood up, going back to his workshop, leaving Elizabeth to look at his back. He disappeared and her mouth formed a small, barely noticeable, smile.

It was strange, he had definitely changed after he got captured. He was less joking around and haughty, more serious and calculating but Elizabeth noticed he was a lot colder to everyone.

Elizabeth had been with him almost all hours of the day for months now and he always kept his distance to her, she appreciated it but she was also a bit irk'd. She secretly hoped for something to happen, but he was basically a block of Ice. At the same time she was a bit worried because he wasn't changing back to normal, but he mentioned that he wanted her to be safe, so she assumed things were going in a good direction.

Actually, Kane himself had changed since the incident. He noticed he was a lot more cold to everyone, but he decided it would be a good thing. If he or anyone around him had another incident then honestly Kane didn't know how much more he could take. He felt like he was tittering on the edge, constantly.

All in all, he was being extremely careful, even more so than before. Nothing came in, nothing came out, complete secrecy.

Kane sat in his chair in the lab and lit a cigarette as he watched the news by himself. Megan quipped "Why are you in here, Kane?" Kane said "Its more comfortable to be alone." Megan asked "Is it because you want to distance yourself from everyone?" Kane was silent and Megan said "There was an article that said lonely people are 80% more likely to adopt several cats. Maybe you should get a cat."

Kane felt his eye twitch and he said "Maybe I should downgrade you?" Megan said immediately "This would be detrimental to everyone! Everybody likes me, I'm the bubbly AI- Megan!" she materialized in the air and did a pose, forming a 'V' with her fingers and putting it over her eye, while winking with the other.

Kane turned to the computer and said "What to do when your A.I has achieved Cringe-sentience..." Megan almost fell down and said "You made me like this!" Kane chuckled and got off the computer saying "Come here, silly girl."

Megan puffed her cheeks and walked over. Kane 'patted' her head and said "You're only semi-sentient. Who would be stupid enough to make a full sentient A.I? But you're also my favorite!" Venom quipped "I thought I was your favorite..." Kane replied in his mind "You are, can't you see I'm coaxing here?" Venom let out a breath of relief and said "Good."

Kane rolled his eyes and smiled at Megan, who smiled and said "Thank you~ You're my favorite too!" Kane chuckled and said "Now show me the news, silly girl." Megan disappeared saying "Okayyy~"

Keith's gone, we're moving on. Into a more hmm 'evil' tone? Idk, I want him to change but not be a 'he just blew up a town of innocent people' evil, more like a 'enemies don't escape alive' evil. Makes more sense that way. Also, maybe a few more chaps today, i got up early today so MAYBE 4 no promises though.

Also, Also, the other books, discord, etc are in the bubble now because some people are literally DYING because they have to move their thumb one more time. Truly a tragedy!
